hurt to read our first negative review, we take this as an opportunity to learn and improve. Although we were saddened to hear about Emma's viewpoints, we wished she would have responded to our request for a conversation after she initially posted the review. On the wedding day, the couple, their friends, family, vendors, and the venue raved about their experience working with IMPACT and we never heard any negative comments until this review came several weeks later. James & Emma complimented IMPACT in their initial review and stated "The good things you provided include: the Aisle Planner site for organization and pre-planning, bringing us our hors d'oeuvres for our private tasting in the ballroom, collecting items at the end of the night, and helping organize the sparkler photo-op. We appreciate that in some regard you were present and helpful." After our request to discuss their concerns, they edited their review and removed these kind and supportive words, and did not reply to our email request. Regardless, we had an enjoyable time planning their wedding and hold nothing but fondness for them. We are here to humbly serve you and can't wait to work together with harmony and professionalism! Eddie ~ CEO *************************** James & Emma, I am truly sorry for your disappointment. We loved working on your wedding and it was our honor and privilege to do so. We certainly value the opportunity to learn and improve our process for all future clients. It's important to remember that you (the client) are the wedding planner for Month of Coordination Packages. We do offer full and partial planning services where we handle all planning, coordination, logistics, and implementation throughout the entire process. However, you did not choose this package. Month of Coordination only includes tying up loose ends in the last month before your wedding. Regarding vendor communications, the client isn't cc'ed on every email as we are here to alleviate your anxieties and prevent from filling your inbox. Many of our past clients have shown appreciation for our ability to coordinate directly with the vendors. We do our best, but hiring a coordinator doesn't ensure perfection as stated in the signed contract. Also, this should not have had any negative affect on your wedding. For every Month of Coordination client, we exchange emails several times to get the final run of show correct - there can be multiple revisions and additions as we were not involved in the year-long planning process. In-depth communication should be expected as it is a collaboration between client and planner. We haven't had any complaints about the process previously, and results have always been a tightly-executed and prompt delivery of the 'Day of' timeline. On your wedding day, we were spot on and operated swiftly and smoothly to move your guests throughout the event, partially due to an airtight timeline and strategy. Note that assisting with the rehearsal is NOT in your contract. Even though we planned to participate, it was made clear by you in an email and also from the Chapel coordinators that our services were not needed. We've done 10 weddings with Dahlgren and learned to politely not step on their toes as they are a well-oiled machine. Not to mention, in 25 years, not 1 Catholic church has allowed our team to run the rehearsal and ceremony because they typically have at least 1 In-House Coordinator. Dahlgren actually has 2 - Becky and Moura who prefer to handle every aspect of the ceremony as that's their job. This is the reason why we didn't include the rehearsal clause in your contract. *NOTE: We do offer rehearsal services in hundreds of venues that don't include an in-house church coordinator. Either way, your ceremony went off without a hitch. We can see why you would have been frustrated with the bus situation; however, I was on the phone with the bus driver while Shiloh (photographer) called me 3 times in a row. When I hung up with the driver, I immediately called her back. You sent me 1 text in which I responded immediately, that the bus driver was finally close by. She had stated that traffic increased severely and that she was "lost" and was panicked for being late. Even if I was there with you, I would not have been able to speed up the process. I understand the fear of not being able to reach me may have caused you anxieties, but I was on the phone with the bus driver trying to calm her down. Also, we sent the run of show to the bus company weeks in advance so they would know the location and time of pickup. On the wedding day, we actually came 1 ½ hours early (before designated set-up time) to focus on setting up the cocktail hour and reception area - the venue was impressed and thankful that we were so early. Regarding the value of our services, even though our contract doesn't include 2 planners, I felt it necessary to make sure your wedding went smoothly by adding another planner. We both were continuously working hard to ensure your cocktail hour and reception met your expectations. I am definitely taking your feedback to heart and trying to learn and improve for future clients. Looking back, if you had shared questions, confusion, and any unmet expectations as you experienced them, we would have addressed everything immediately. Having good communication and giving us the opportunity to serve you better would help us succeed in making your wedding what you dreamed of. Note that all contractual tasks were completed as per our Month of Coordination agreement as referenced below. Access to Aisle Planner program - Completed Arrange reception layout (seating, tables) - Completed Assist wedding party prior to ceremony - Completed - we lined up and queued bridal party. After the processional ended, Dahlgren Chapel coordinators suggested that we leave and said "they've got it." They said they take pride in lining up the couple and swinging the doors open for the bride and father and that they cry at almost every wedding. Assistance securing vendors - Completed - even though we are not the planner, we introduced you to vendors including entertainment and floral. Ceremony Coordination - Completed - we were there leading the process until we were kindly asked to leave by the church coordinators. Collect any celebration elements and gifts - Completed Communicate with contracted vendors - Completed Conduct final lighting, sound, & temperature inspection prior to guest arrival - Completed Conduct final seating & table check prior to guests welcomed to reception - Completed Confirm all vendor contracts - Completed Coordinate distribution of vendor final payments & gratuities on the day of - not required by client.
