Our daughter chose Impulse Entertainment to provide DJ services for her wedding. She also chose Nick Vera as the DJ – and he did not disappoint! The dance floor was never empty. Nick was very easy to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying the night’s festivities. He outdid himself to make sure that the bride and groom had the day that they wanted. We can’t say enough good things about Impulse Entertainment and Nick!

Nick and his team were the first vendors we booked once we set our wedding date! We knew we loved his style from my sisters wedding and we HAD to have them apart of our wedding day. He’s professional, so energetic, and goes above and beyond in every aspect! Nick and his team brought us our first drinks of the night, we’re so attentive to where my husband and I were during the reception - If we left the room for a moment, he didn’t play any of our requested songs he knew we’d want to be present for! The biggest compliment we receive from our wedding guests is still about Nick and the music - songs were played for just the right amount of time and he does an amazing job of keeping the energy up ALL NIGHT. One of my main goals for our reception was keeping the dance floor packed the whole time and Nick did just that. I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about Nick and his team at Impulse Entertainment. Impulse Entertainment is the vendor I recommend first to any of my friends once they get engaged. We recently engaged Impulse Entertainment to DJ for our wedding in Chicago. And from the very first call with Nick Vera I could tell that this entertainment group would be our perfect match. We recommend Impulse Entertainment 100%. Nick and his team cover EVERY base from the ceremony to the reception, and they definitely made us feel comfortable and confident that everything would go perfect on our big day. And it did! That is why I am leaving a candid 5 star review. We had Steve as our DJ at the wedding and he absolutely crushed it. We were honestly surprised with just how good he was. We provided a playlist of about 2 hours of music and he took that and mixed together 50-100+ songs of the same vibe into 1-3 minute tunes. This kept the dancefloor lively for literally the ENTIRE reception. Our friends were dancing and partying nonstop it was a blast. Several of my friends told us during the wedding how impressed they were with the music choices and our DJ, Steve. And not only is Steve a terrific party director, he also was so kind and accommodating to us throughout the evening, asking us if we needed anything, how everything sounded, if we wanted a drink, etc. Just a very cool guy and would recommend him to DJ anything. Thank you again Nick and Steve, you guys were outstanding and made our special day even better.

Nick went above and beyond at our wedding! Our guests could not stop raving about his exceptional vibes and he really knows how to get a party going! He was always prompt about sending monthly emails and it made planning a wedding way less stressful! We also had the photo booth which was run by his wife. Zero complaints!!

Impulse Entertainment was easily one of the best vendor decisions we made for our 10/19/24 wedding! From the moment we met with the owner, Nick Vera, on ZOOM who was so energetic, friendly, and easy to talk to, we knew we made the right decision. Nick made the planning process stress free by sending out monthly emails as to what tasks needed to be completed at what time. Those emails really helped us stay on track up to the day of our wedding. Nick met with us one more time a week before our wedding to go over the details in our planning portal to make sure he had all the little things correct such as the right pronunciations of our wedding party and any special dances we had planned. We worked with DJ Gyl for our wedding, and he was OUTSTANDING! Gyl came early and was ready to go before our guests even arrived. Gyl even gave my seven year old nephew a shout-out and played his favorite song, "Shake it Off" by Taylor Swift to make him feel special! Gyl also played songs from Muse (my favorite band) and Alice in Chains (my husband's favorite band) during dinner which we both appreciated and made dinner fun. Gyl kept our dance floor filled all night long! Gyl did an amazing job reading the crowd and played music that all our guests could dance to! Our guests also LOVED the photo booth. The props were fun, the background was beautiful, and it was one of the biggest hits of the night! Even after our wedding was over, Nick went out of his way to send my husband and I a personalized bottle of wine (we got engaged in Wine Country and went to the Pacific West for our honeymoon-details that Nick remembered off of our meetings) and thank you cards to both our parents and to us. Nick and Gyl made our wedding memorable and I would HIGHLY recommend Impulse Entertainment to any newlywed. They were wonderful to work with and you can tell they love what they do! Nick was truly phenomenal as our wedding DJ! From the very start, he went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, handling so many little details that made a big difference in our experience. He expertly helped our wedding party with their aisle walk, personally released tables for our buffet, and managed to create a flawless flow to our evening. Nick made sure my husband and I were totally stress-free by even arranging for our food and delivering drinks to us throughout the night. In the planning process, he was just as amazing. During our phone calls and Zoom meetings, he walked us through each step with helpful insights and suggestions, making us feel incredibly confident and prepared. We LOVED everything about Nick with Impulse Entertainment! From the very beginning he helped us with wedding planning and gave us an incredible night everyone is still talking about! We were so lucky to book impulse. Meeting with Nick was easy and exciting, he was so helpful and really helped plan our day to be as seamless as possible. They have a wonderful website where if you like planning ahead, it’s your dream. They do a great job of letting you do a lot of the work independently, then meetings are efficient and used for clarifying purposes. Having a DJ who could keep the party going all night was super important to my husband and I for our wedding-and DJ Nick at Impulse Entertainment went above and beyond to provide that! He is so organized, with a website that has monthly check-in’s, timelines for your ceremony and reception and a place to organize your music for the day (including playlists recommendations). He is the most personable DJ, and I truly felt like he cared about Matt and I’s wishes for the day. He brought us our first drinks as a married couple, helped bring us food and made sure we ate, and asked us throughout the night if we wanted any songs played. He sent us hype videos throughout our time of engagement, took pictures of our private last dance, got the crowd hype when we wanted them to be, and gathered them to pay attention during important speeches/dances. He smoothly kept our timeline on track and MC’d a cocktail style wedding flawlessly. Like I said previously, the dance floor was POPPING all night. We had SO many wedding guests compliment him-saying how much fun they had, that he was the best wedding DJ they had ever seen and that they didn’t want to stop dancing! We have DJ Nick, his song choices and his smooth transitions from song to song, to thank for that. I can’t thank Impulse Entertainment enough for all the hard work they both put in to making our wedding day PERFECT! We have gotten SO MANY compliments on our music & photo booth since our wedding! The team is so amazing and I am happy that they were a part of our wedding day 😊 Everything they provided for us was perfect. We had Nick Vera from the Impulse team DJ and handle lighting for our reception and can not say enough AMAZING things. We picked him after seeing him at a close friends' wedding and truthfully he ALWAYS. SHOWS. UP. He not only is incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire planning process (constantly checking in on how we're feeling, what he can take off our plate, etc.) but he knows how to keep a crowd on the dance floor. We also had a saxophone player and live drummer, which honestly we were a bit nervous on how they would all mesh having never worked together before, but I can not tell you how AMAZING it was. Nick coordinated all of the prep work behind the scenes with the two live musicians (taking a LOT off of our plate) and ultimately worked in with them effortlessly on the night of the wedding. Nick also was getting us drinks and checking on us throughout dinner. Nick provided details I never would have imagined DJs could offer and I can't verbalize enough how grateful we are we went with him. Lastly, my (now husband!) and I were originally hesitant on paying the extra $$$ to have Nick Vera himself - but honestly would have paid more if we did it all over again that's how valuable it was in my eyes to have!!

We had an INCREDIBLE and intimate wedding of 60, thanks in large part to the amazing dedication, professionalism and heart of Impulse Entertainment! Nick and John are two of the kindest souls I have ever worked with, who truly cared and went to great lengths to make sure our vision and venue restrictions were equally met and surpassed. Their portal was so easy to use, they were able to find very specific music for us, clean up YouTube edits of unrecorded songs and play them as if you had the most epic Spotify playlist pre-loaded, made excellent suggestions for the event day of, added some gorgeous music to our pre-picked playlists and the level of detail is unrivaled!!! Very special shout out to Nick- who helped me pull of an incredible surprise for my now husband-Nick made it so we could surprise him by having my stepsons walk me down the aisle at the last minute by creating a pause in my entrance song, and cuing it up exactly at the moment where the lyric says “take my hand”…as the kids took my hands 🥹 I can’t think about that incredible moment of unity we were able to share without thinking of Nick. If you don’t choose Impulse for your event, you are missing out and will not receive this level of care from anyone else. Thank you Nick and John-you will forever be a part of our story 💕

Impulse DJ's was truly such an amazing company to work with. Nick worked so closely with us to create our dream wedding day. He was as excited as we were for our big day. He sent us monthly emails to check in with us and make sure we were on track. He made the whole process much less stressful and more enjoyable. Our DJ Steve, was AMAZING. He was so lively and outgoing during the whole day. He played all of our songs exactly as requested from the ceremony to our last dance song. He kept our guests entertained and on our feet the ENTIRE night. There was not a moment when the dance floor was empty. Steve helped keep us on track during the day and checked in with my husband and me all day long. He guided our parents and siblings through our speeches. My coworker is an event planner and recommended Impulse DJs. From the start, Nick was friendly, thorough and helpful. Impulse DJs has great resources for reception planning. Steve was our DJ and did an absolutely terrific job. He read the room and kept the dancing going, aligning the music with the genres we had requested but also ensuring that everyone kept having fun on the dance floor. Throughout the reception, people kept complimenting us on how great the DJ was. Steve was responsive and flexible throughout the night (we finished dinner early, so we moved the dances to start sooner than scheduled). Now that it's been a few weeks, we've continued to get compliments from our guests on how great our DJ was and how much fun they had. We even learned that more than one guest invited Steve to our after party! We are so happy with our decision to go with Steve and Impulse DJs. I cannot recommend them enough!

He is a joy to work with and any couple who has worked with him would say the same. He adjusts to their music requests and will not play a "must-play" song of the couple unless they're both on the dance floor. Book Impulse Entertainment for your wedding NOW because they were FANTASTIC. We had Nick as our wedding DJ and from our very first phone conversation with him to the execution on our wedding day, we were thoroughly impressed by him and his whole team. Nick was more expensive to have DJ our wedding than others on the team, but my husband and I still to this day believe that it was worth EVERY penny. Nick is professional, EXCELLENT at what he does (he found obscure music we wanted to have played at our reception), unbelievably kind (the encouraging texts and emails were the BEST), and puts so much energy and thoughtfulness into what he does (he clarified countless times all the names of everyone in our party so that they would get the correct recognition they deserved). ALL of our guests commented on how awesome of a DJ he was from his MC responsibilities to the variety of music he played at our wedding. Nick paid attention to our vision and our needs and went above and beyond to make it happen just like we wanted. We hired Impulse Entertainment to DJ our wedding ceremony and reception. They were awesome and did not disappoint! Nick was our main contact throughout the planning process. In the 3 months leading up to our wedding, we had periodic updates to make sure the planning process was on track. They have an online planning portal that was easy to use and very helpful. John was the actual DJ for our event and rocked it! Super nice guys who know what they're doing and how to rock a party. I highly recommend! I had mixed feelings about getting uplighting, but was so glad we added that to the package. It really did make a difference!

He let us get as specific as we wanted for certain parts of the day, and then knew us well enough after our meeting that he handled the rest. I NEEDED to write this review now because, although you have amazing reviews already, mine needed to be shared too 😉 Nick is so organized and has helped me with everything wedding related! Not only was he our DJ, but he acted as a wedding coordinator as well! His planning portal is so on point and so self explanatory that you will feel so at ease knowing everything you want to hear while on the dance floor WILL happen. He was our hype man and truly made our entire wedding experience phenomenal! Not only did we have an amazing DJ, we also purchased the Photo Booth package! AND LET ME TELL YOU THE QUALITY OF THESE PICTURES…..I felt like a Kardashian LOL Pictures were sent to everyone’s phones and Susan was a blast to work with! So hear me out; not only will you get a Phenomenal DJ, Spectacular Photo-booth, but you will also get people who CARE about you and want you to have a great time at your wedding! BOOK NICK NOW!! Nick was by far the best vendor we chose for our wedding! We received monthly reminders about what we should be working on and what we should have completed in previous months. I wish more vendors would have this! He checked in with us regularly before the wedding and even during the wedding making sure we had everything we needed! Soo many of our guests said how awesome of a DJ he was (the playlist was amazing!) and wished they had him for their wedding. We also added the photo booth and everyone loved it! Everything was absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend Impulse Entertainment enough!!

Impulse Entertainment was easily our favorite vendor!! - incredibly involved and helpful - execution was amazing - process was largely smooth - We never felt any pressure (it never felt forced, etc.) - We appreciate the high energy and enthusiasm - Nick DJ'd our wedding (highly recommend going with Nick!) and it was better than we could have imagined!

We are so happy we chose Impulse Entertainment for our wedding. We’ve heard nothing but great things from our guest and a few even asked for their information! Nick Vera was so on top of it. He was professional, motivating, and comforting at the same time. We never felt overwhelmed planning the day with him, and he always kept the energy high which we appreciated so much! The Photo Booth was amazing as well. Such great quality photos on there and with Susan attending it the whole time made things so easy for all our guests. Everything felt organized with the monthly email reminders telling us what we should be doing each month. The website is very simple and user friendly. The couple of calls we had were very helpful and we always felt better after them feeling like a lot of progress was made each time. 10/10 would recommend for a wedding reception! Guests were on the dance floor all night. Nick was awesome at hearing our requests and truly personalized the playlist to fit our preferences. Nick was highly organized and continually kept an eye on the timeline to ensure everything was running smoothly. Amazing job!

Impulse Entertainment is hands down THE BEST! We had Nick as our DJ for our wedding in October and he was amazing! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome wedding DJ or DJ for any event. He has the best energy and made sure we had the best day ever! He was also so easy to work with and super responsive which we greatly appreciated! My wife and I were married October 13, 2023, but our DJ vendor, Impulse Entertainment, started working on our wedding months in advance. We had multiple planning calls and emails with owner, Nick Vera, in the months leading up to our date and his enthusiasm and positivity made the process fun and easy. Nick walked us through Impulse Entertainment’s various packages and ala carte services to make sure we got exactly what we needed for our big day without price gouging us with unnecessaries and extras. He’s truly an honest man who understands the stress of weddings and wants to take off as much from your plate as possible. As far as planning, Impulse Entertainment’s wedding website was easy to use and fully integrated our Spotify playlists. This ensured that the precise versions of the songs we wanted were played and was as easy as adding songs to a playlist during our morning commutes. The package we went with also came with a photo booth and we as well as our guests were extremely impressed with the set-up. Not only did we have the booth, but we had an attendant (Susan) present on our wedding day, the booth automatically printed photos for our guests and could also send them directly to our guests’ cell phones. Susan set up the entire booth and seamlessly helped our guests figure out the technology. Not only this, but we had digital copies of all the photos within 48 hours of our day. Finally, the day of our wedding our DJ Steve checked in early and was the first to bring us our drinks after the ceremony making sure we had a drink even though we had to take photos during cocktail hour. This was just the start, Steve checked in multiple times throughout the night, respected our wishes to not have song requests, nailed our ceremony and walk-in reception music, and overall kept our friends and family dancing until the very end. He even last minute stayed an extra half hour for us when we did not realize our contract called for a shorter time than we remembered and wanted the party to continue. If you want first-class service for not just your big day, but the months leading up, don’t hesitate to book Impulse Entertainment.

Impulse Entertainment exceeded our expectations from the very beginning of wedding planning! My husband and I met Nick at a friends wedding he was DJing for over 2 years before our wedding. From our experience that night, we knew we had to book Impulse for our wedding! Impulse was one of our first vendors we made sure to secure and we are SO happy we did! Nick was so genuine and communicative throughout the entire wedding planning process - sending detailed checklists and planning tools that helped organize the ceremony and reception without being overwhelming. We ended up booking our photo booth through Impulse as well, and again were so thankful we did! The whole process was seamless leading up to our big day - both Nick and Susan helped answer any and all questions we had and were extremely personable! On our wedding day we had Oliver as our DJ and Nate as our photo booth attendant, both of them were absolutely AMAZING! Entertaining the crowd on and off the dancer floor all night! Nate made sure to get everyone he could in the photo booth and the results were awesome - we also received the full album of photos immediately which was so fun to look at the next day. Oliver kept the party going with perfect transitions from songs and genres, he appealed to every age group we had, and followed our playlists requests! He read the room very well and did an excellent job announcing the entire night. Overall, I cannot say enough positive things about Impulse - from planning to partying they have got you covered!

Nick and Impulse Entertainment helped make our wedding amazing! From the very beginning Nick was willing to help us and answer all of our questions. Very professional and all our guests had a blast dancing all night long. We received so many compliments about how great our DJ was. I would highly recommend Impulse Entertainment.

Impulse Entertainment was recommended to us from our wedding venue. We hired Nick to be our DJ for the wedding. He went above and beyond to ensure the planning process was simple and easy. He was there every step of the way when we had questions and he was quick to respond to help us ensure we had the perfect songs picked out. The wedding day was absolutely perfect. He ensured we stayed on a timely schedule. He also made sure not only my husband and I were taken care of but also our parents. He kept the party going and we received so many compliments from our guests about how great Nick was. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and DJ company. Nick went above and beyond from day one to ensure our wedding day was the best!

Nick was a DREAM to work with! My now husband and I could not have expected anything better truly. We used Nick and his company for our DJ and Photo Booth services for our September 2023 wedding. Nick was very prompt during all communications for the year and a half before our wedding. I also noticed he just seemed excited to talk to us, excited to talk about our event. That did not go unnoticed! We wanted a true master of ceremonies and he really delivered! We were recommended Nick’s company and it did not disappoint at all. I am so so grateful we chose him for our wedding. Creating our personalized playlists for both the ceremony and reception was very easy using his programs. I also loved how detailed it was. Every single thing was thought of - our entire day was planned out. Day off, Nick was wonderful, as we thought! He was so kind and on top of it. We had zero issues and guests were coming up to us all night saying how amazing he was. Everything went great day off and he really went above and beyond to make sure my now husband and I were happy and doing okay. He even brought us waters a few times while we were taking photos! That was just so thoughtful, and unheard of. Even our photographers commented how great he was. During our reception he continually kept in contact with us, letting us know where we were with timing, and making sure we were able to eat both our dinners and cake! Everyone said we wouldn’t get to eat at our wedding, but Nick made sure we were well taken care of. We also used his company for the Photo Booth service and it was perfect! We got to customize the backdrop and the photo printout was amazing quality. Not to mention we got a printout book of every photo taken that night! It was so sweet. If you are looking for a DJ who is going to go above and beyond for you, GO WITH NICK!!!! You won’t have to worry about a thing at your wedding. We are so grateful to him for his hard work and kind attitude.

There is nothing my husband and I would have changed about our experience. Nick was such a great help - he gave guidance through the entire planning process and answered all our different questions which helped immensely! He’s definitely the reason our day ran so smoothly and stuck to the timeline! We appreciated everything and would definitely recommend Nick and his awesome energy!!

Impulse Entertainment DJ Anthony and photobooth manager Susan were AMAZING for our Sept. 2, 2023 wedding! Anthony *somehow* perfectly combined our pop, country, and Persian music that we wanted played at our wedding, and the dance floor was full the entire night as a result! We were set up for success from the beginning with Impulse's founder, Nick Vera, who personally handled all of our email communications, phone calls, Zooms, etc. leading up to the day. His experience really made a difference and I appreciated how he took the initiative to reach out to different vendors to introduce the company before the wedding in case they needed to collaborate on anything. Basically, Nick is also AMAZING! I liked that the "photobooth" they provide wasn't so much a little booth, but rather a nice (large!) backdrop with good lighting, and it was staffed by the wonderful Susan! She made sure we were ready for the photos and Impulse brought good props as well. We chose the "print-out" style (vs online delivery) for the photos, and we loved receiving an unexpected photo album that guests had signed and included their photo strips in. This worked out well because Impulse/Susan always printed at least 2+ copies of all photo strips! DJ Anthony also provided the audio for the ceremony, pre-ceremony music, and cocktail hour music. Everything with that went pretty smoothly. There were a couple times when the officiant's audio was a little shaky (not sure why), but it recovered quickly. We also really liked the online interface that Impulse has clearly spent a lot of time creating and perfecting to help clients organize their music choices (pre-ceremony, ceremony, etc.) and "must play" "try to play" and "do not play". All in all, nothing but good feedback! Thank you, Nick, Anthony, and Susan :)

Every step of the process, whether it was planning or the actual day of operation, Nick supported us 110% and kept things on track. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND as our DJ and we are extremely grateful. To be honest, we were a tad worried getting a DJ named "Billy" Billy ruled. Billy nailed wedding party name pronunciation correctly the first time and made sure to get it right. Billy NAILED the timing, cutting, vibe... from our first dance to our last dance, Billy was 10/10. We also got the photobooth through this vendor as well. The owners wife ran it, again, I am from a family business so that can go one of two ways. She was spectacular and kept people wanting to go to the booth all night! Nick does have a little bit of a Radio Personality™ (which kind of hits oddly bc of his age) but he runs a great group with some solid employees!

We have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Nick as our DJ. Nick is the owner of Impulse and we were lucky enough to be able to book him. Nick went above and beyond for us, in the few meetings leading up to the event he was attentive and very detail oriented--even helped us solidify a timeline like he was our planner! On the day of the wedding, he met with us instantly when we got to the venue--grabbing us drinks, making sure we ate (KEY). We felt so taken care of by him, something that I was not expecting from a DJ. Our dance floor was POPPIN, incorporating the music we love to keep our guests dancing the night away. Our guests raved Nick all night, saying his energy was unmatched whether on the mic or behind the computer/turn table. Thank you for making our day so special and so FUN!

If I could give 10 stars my husband and I would! Nick was so wonderful to work with while planning our wedding. He helped give us direction with day of scheduling which was so helpful. When it came to the day of he did an amazing job keeping us and our guest informed with everything that was happening. He got us drinks, food, checked on us, and even did things like find our photographer or people we were looking for. His energy was exactly what we were looking for, for our backyard reception. Our guest said he felt like a part of the family. Absolutely the dj you have to go with for your wedding or special event!!

Nick is such an amazing DJ. It was so easy working with him and he responded so quickly to any questions we may have. He went above and beyond with MCing on the wedding day and making sure we were well taken care of. He would always check in with me and my husband to make sure if we needed anything. Everyone loved the music and the transitions. Susan helped with the photobooth and everyone loved the photos. The lighting was great and they also provided an guestbook to attach the photos. We loved the props and it was definitely a great addition to the wedding. We would totally recommend Nick and Susan for anyone who is looking into hiring DJs or photobooths!!! Honestly can't say enough great things about them!
