As soon as we got talking, I didn't feel like I was "just another client" -  I felt like he was genuinely interested in me as a person and what our vision was for our wedding day. Right away I knew he was the right person for the job, and if I could go back in time, I'd choose Impulse Entertainment again and again.  The app was amazing and super easy to use. I loved that I could input songs/playlists right from Spotify - this made it super easy for me to add the songs that we wanted. I also loved how much planning they put into the app itself -  all the various questions regarding speeches, blessing, wedding party, etc. - this template was super helpful and made a big chunk of the planning effortless.  And lastly, Ed ---- I mean wow. He was our guy for sure. I so appreciate his calm demeanor, and helping us feel comfortable and seen on the wedding day -  not just as bride and groom, but as real people. There were multiple times he would come up to us to check in to make sure we were good and to see if we needed anything - this meant a lot to me to have someone looking after us.  He was quick to think when we had family slideshows play - he was able to hook up another speaker -  since one of the chords didn't reach to my laptop. In this situation, he didn't waver or give any hesitance that he couldn't get the job done -  he took action and was able to figure it out --  we so appreciated this!!  Also, his improvisation during the dancing hours was amazing -  one notable moment was when some of our groomsmen had started to break dance on the floor - not only did he play the perfect music for them, but he also even did like a mini contest for them saying something like, "All right give it up for contestant number 1!!, number 2!!, number 3!!" It's hard to explain in words, but everyone was cheering and loved it -  it was such an impromptu moment and he handled it perfectly.  We are so amazed at the overall seamless experience of choosing Impulse Entertainment. You helped me reset, be present, and actually enjoy the day — and that set the tone for the entire night. I wasn’t feeling well near the end of the night and Nick adjusted the final songs so I could still participate without overdoing it. And he knew who exactly who to take direction from as far as filtering requests day of (you just never know!). Nick's ability to read the room, pump up the party yet slow things down at the right moments, and handle anything that came our way is unmatched. So many guests told us how amazing our DJ was, both during and after the wedding. You made us feel like an absolute priority, and we would choose Impulse a thousand times over. The app allowed me to see every aspect of the wedding day that needed planning and was incredibly helpful as I could work on all the details as I had them. The team also sends timeline emails to stay on track, very helpful for the do-it yourself couple sans wedding planner. Please don't confuse the app with this team being hands-off. Every email/text went answered and quickly.  Steve was our DJ on the day of and he was absolutely amazing on the wedding day! He checked in several times with my husband and I just to make sure that we were happy with what was going on (i.e.  lighting, music selections, timeline). Everyone that came up to us on the wedding day, and every conversation I have had after, only said complimentary things about Steve. Feedback I have gotten was that he was AMAZING and it was the BEST playlist/energy, start to finish, that they have ever partaken in. Overall, it was an AMAZING event, and Impulse was a big part in making that happen.

And the day of our wedding we were blown away by the energy they provided but also their effort to make the day run smoothly and constantly checking in the bride and groom. The switch happened because I wanted the music, especially for the wedding ceremony, to be more personal than the standard music, so I wanted a DJ that I could work with to make that happen, and I could not be more pleased with Nick! We didn't realize it at the time, but going with Impulse Entertainment and having Nick as the MC that day genuinely saved the day; the music was everything I had wanted and more, and the ceremony and reception were loved by everyone there. I have heard nothing but raving reviews from guests on how beautiful the ceremony was and how fun the reception was, and I feel that I must give a lot of credit to Nick and Impulse entertainment. The services provided by Impulse Entertainment are not simply a DJ with a playlist and a schedule, they are running the wedding ceremony and making sure that everything goes smoothly. Nick even brought us drinks between pictures and cocktail hour just so that we didn't need to worry about it. 'Accommodating' is not a strong enough word for what Nick was to us. We met over Zoom before the wedding to go through details of what we wanted, and he was nothing but excited and supportive. Nick really cares that this day goes well for anyone who hires him, and he has earned every single glowing review. I can and will be recommending it to anyone I know who is planning a wedding or another event.

ith my own wedding than Impulse. From start to finish I was in good hands and at ease. Every detail was executed flawlessly and no request went unanswered. Nick brought the vibes from our first meeting, understood the assignment of wedding music that wasn't "wedding music", flawlessly helped me surprise my now husband with a very important sound bite from a missed loved one, and night-of was able to play a very nonsense video from a guest (with our permission). Nick and Susan are absolute professionals, while also being real people that you'd actually want around.

We got email updates from his team members and used their app Vibo that helped us stay on track with answering questions and selecting our music. The day of was amazing and everyone had nothing but good things to say about the music and our reception. Nick himself was our DJ and we loved his energy and appreciated the hype he brought. It was enough to keep everyone on the dance floor but didn't feel like too much. We also thought the way Nick played through the set was awesome. His transitions were great and mixing up the song choices helped keep people on the dance floor. The setup and lights were also cool and added a nice touch. We also had tons of guests coming up to us afterwards and asking for Justin's information to use him in the future. As someone who puts a LOT of stake in music (it was arguably the thing I cared about the most), I was over the moon with his services. We could not have been happier with Justin as our DJ, and we will be recommending him to ALL of our friends and family moving forward! As for Susan, she was an absolute delight! She found me beforehand to introduce herself and explain her role. Our guests absolutely adored the photo booth, and the pictures that came out of it are hysterical! She also stuck around afterwards just to check in and help in any way that she could. I am bummed that we didn't get to work more closely together, but I have no doubt she was as endearing and pleasant throughout the night as she was when I first met her! Both Susan and Justin were so easy to get along with that they felt more like longtime friends than people we had just met. They exceeded our expectations, and we are so grateful that they were part of our team on the big day. Finally, Nick was so easy to work with, and he has the most contagious energy! Every time we chatted with him over the phone or even email, we couldn't help but feel excited because of how excited he was for us! He was very easy to get a hold of, and there aren't enough words to express how much we loved working with Nick and his team.

We had such a wide range of music genres but he knows his stuff! He hit everything we wanted and needed. He had our drinks ready, was on top of all announcements, checked in with us throughout the night, and even took some last minute Romanian requests (difficult, I know) with no problem at all. I even had some pregnant guests tell me that they so wished their feet weren’t swollen so they could dance all night since our DJ was so good haha Seriously though, we would recommend Impulse Entertainment to others and hire/go to any event that Justin is DJing.

Nick and his team cover EVERY base from the ceremony to the reception, and they definitely made us feel comfortable and confident that everything would go perfect on our big day. And it did! That is why I am leaving a candid 5 star review. We had Steve as our DJ at the wedding and he absolutely crushed it. We were honestly surprised with just how good he was. We provided a playlist of about 2 hours of music and he took that and mixed together 50-100+ songs of the same vibe into 1-3 minute tunes. This kept the dancefloor lively for literally the ENTIRE reception. Our friends were dancing and partying nonstop it was a blast. Several of my friends told us during the wedding how impressed they were with the music choices and our DJ, Steve. And not only is Steve a terrific party director, he also was so kind and accommodating to us throughout the evening, asking us if we needed anything, how everything sounded, if we wanted a drink, etc. Just a very cool guy and would recommend him to DJ anything. friendly, and easy to talk to, we knew we made the right decision. Nick made the planning process stress free by sending out monthly emails as to what tasks needed to be completed at what time. Those emails really helped us stay on track up to the day of our wedding. Nick met with us one more time a week before our wedding to go over the details in our planning portal to make sure he had all the little things correct such as the right pronunciations of our wedding party and any special dances we had planned. We worked with DJ Gyl for our wedding, and he was OUTSTANDING! Gyl came early and was ready to go before our guests even arrived. Gyl even gave my seven year old nephew a shout-out and played his favorite song, "Shake it Off" by Taylor Swift to make him feel special! Gyl also played songs from Muse (my favorite band) and Alice in Chains (my husband's favorite band) during dinner which we both appreciated and made dinner fun. Gyl kept our dance floor filled all night long! Gyl did an amazing job reading the crowd and played music that all our guests could dance to! Our guests also LOVED the photo booth. The props were fun, the background was beautiful, and it was one of the biggest hits of the night! Even after our wedding was over, Nick went out of his way to send my husband and I a personalized bottle of wine (we got engaged in Wine Country and went to the Pacific West for our honeymoon-details that Nick remembered off of our meetings) and thank you cards to both our parents and to us. Nick and Gyl made our wedding memorable and I would HIGHLY recommend Impulse Entertainment to any newlywed. They were wonderful to work with and you can tell they love what they do!
