Based in New York City, Impulse Strings is a wedding band. These musicians play a variety of genres, including classical, rock, jazz, and pop, to suit all tastes in music. Every arrangement they perform is handwritten, adding a personal touch to their shows.
The classically trained musicians of Impulse Strings are happy to perform as soloists, duos, trios, and quartets. This group was founded by violinist Alexandria Pritchard and travels all over the country performing at events. They have been contracted by the Chainsmokers and the Stellar Awards, a renowned award show for gospel music.
Impulse Strings is happy to play any song that comes to mind and is consistently growing their catalog of music. Their versatile sound is well-suited to all manner of celebrations, no matter the theme. Some of the instruments they can play include Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Guitar. The musicians are happy to change their wardrobe to suit the tone of your celebration.

I’m so grateful for their hard work and dedication—my brother and mother wanted to sing two songs at cocktail hour, and the quartet took the time to learn them both and rehearse separately beforehand. ful music just had me levitating out of my body. What an experience. One of the most devastating parts of the day was missing their performance at the cocktail hour bc we got too busy with photos, but our guests were raving about them and leaving us desperate to stalk down footage. We loved that their catalogue was so eclectic, with everything from classical bops to Thong Song, Taylor Swift, Kendrick - you name it. As the groom's mother walked in, she was touched to hear them playing a Matt Monroe song arranged specially for her. At this point, my now-husband and I are frantically brainstorming what other events we can throw just to have another round with them. Ally was a great communicator and the full group were also so lovely and friendly when I managed to stalk them down just in time before they left. Highly recommend!!

During the wedding ceremony the music was perfect, bringing waves of timeless emotions with the alternately warm and playful timbre of the strings while the guests were arriving and during the processional and recessional moments.
