sweet set of moves for our first dance song, “As Long As You Love Me” and changed choreo on the fly during our sessions. We ended both dance lessons with huge smiles on our faces. It was SO fun to show off our moves on our wedding day. THANK YOU!!

Julia was our teacher and we can't say enough kind words about her talent and dedication. A first dance was something my now-husband and I went back and forth on, almost opting to forgo it when we were wedding planning. Having Julia travel to us and remain incredibly patient with us, two people with no dancing experience, eased every one of our anxieties about the dance.
The day of our wedding we were able to execute the dance almost flawlessly (including the two lifts)! I say almost, because as soon as we started, we realized we were dancing over a golf-ball sized rock that somehow ended up on the dance floor. Despite this, nobody we have told said they noticed any of our missteps! It's now a funny memory we have about the day. Julia can teach you to dance with rocks under your feet, that's how good she is! We can't recommend her enough!!
We had a great time! We worked with Julia, who was super helpful introducing and explaining the moves to us in the first lesson and then putting together our choreography in the se...

Julia, our dance instructor, was energetic, fun to work with, and passionate about our dance! We loved working with her and she taught us elements we ended up using in more than just our first dance, and helped us have a fun time during our reception.
I will never forget our guests cheers as we kissed during our final flourish!
Thank you, Julia!

y. We chose two songs and she meshed the songs together at the exact point we want with a smooth transition. She came to our house. Showed up on time and was very professional. For all her efforts, the cost was very reasonable and we had a blast learning to dance. Highly recommend.

tor Julia QUICKLY came up with an easy and awesome 2:45 choreography for our wedding dance. She listened closely to our requests and came up with an unforgettable dance. Very creative and enthusiastic, made us feel comfortable while we learned… then even offered for us to contact her after if we had questions or wanted opinion on our practice progress. Unreal quality and we couldn't recommend this enough!

atient, and personable teacher. In just two short lessons, we were able to learn and successfully perform an almost 4-minute first dance that went off without a hitch. We got video footage of our key dance moves to review and practice at home. The pictures and video proof (as well as the memories!) made this such a special part of our wedding day.

so my favorite part of the entire night. While my husband has dance and theater experience from his high school days, I have no dance experience what so ever. Christen was able to put together a dance that only was I able to learn, but also master, within two months.
The one thing I will mention is that if couples are not motivated to practice frequently on their own, unless you have lots of dance experience, you may not find this business suitable for you. We purchased the basic package which includes two 1.5 hour lessons, and I was able to learn the basic steps of the dance in that time with Christen. The steps were easy enough for me to practice on my own, but complex enough that it wowed our guests! So if you are motivated, and want an unforgettable experience and dance, In Home Wedding Dance Lessons will not disappoint!
My husband and I are NOT dancers but we wanted to do something fun for our first dance. Christen turned preparing for the dance into our favorite part of wedding planning. She came...

Our instructor, Julia, made my wife and I feel extremely comfortable with dancing, some thing that we are both very uncomfortable with. I would recommend them over and over again.
My husband and I hired Christen for our first dance routine, and we highly recommend her! She is a very talented and patient dance choreographer. She can quickly modify routines to...

gned to us, was so flexible with her time. She helped us choreograph a dance to a mash up of 3 songs. Everyone at the wedding loved our choreography that we planned with only 2 2 hour dance sessions. Really appreciated the professionalism and flexibility.

I didn’t want to be that couple that got up and did a little side to side with a spin, but I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted. My husband and I are on the silly side and wanted to...
do something out of the ordinary and Christen came up BIG TIME with her choreography. She was the perfect fit for us! She was patient and very supportive throughout the whole process. We FaceTimed a few times, but I know if we needed more she would be very accommodating. Everyone looooved the dance and my smile for the 3 min video says it all. Beyond happy that we will forever have that memory 💜 if you’re on the fence about getting your first dance choreographed— definitely do it and have Christen be your girl!
Christen is an absolutely amazing choreographer who I recommend unreservedly! When another highly rated in-home wedding dance choreographer canceled on me last minute (like 45 min ...
after the scheduled time!), she was willing to swoop on to help at the last minute. Her ability to explain things very easily as well as her sense of humor make for a very pleasant dancing experience!! Very transparent with pricing and very prompt. Thank you so sooo much again for the help and we can’t wait to show you our final dance!

the same time making you look like a professional. Our first dance was and will forever be the best part of our wedding (besides getting married!)!!! Thanks again Christen, you’re the real MVP!!

Since Christen dances and choreographs professionally but is also a teacher, she knew exactly how to tailor our dance to what we would be able to do! She is dynamic, fun, flexible, engaging, and made us feel super comfortable.
Quite honestly, our first dance was the most fun I’ve had before and since our wedding - thanks to Christen! You’ll be so happy you worked with her!!

ally since our song was a little more difficult for a first dance (more upbeat and an awkward 7 count). Christen took on the challenge and nailed it. She put together a choreographed dance for us that was fun to learn and had just the right balance of easy to remember steps mixed with fun lifts and spins that made our guests go nuts. We learned everything we needed to know over the course of two lessons, which occurred in the comfort of our own home, and then the rest of the practicing was up to us. We're so glad we contacted and hired Christen!
