About this vendor
Expanding horizons and breaking through borders – that has always been the mission of Indian Destination Wedding.
Led by seasoned event planner Ateet Ahuja – we’ve always been impassioned by the prospect of helping folks create memorable moments they’ll cherish for a lifetime, and have been planning international, Indian and fusion weddings since 1996.
“We love being a part of one of the most significant days in someone’s life,” Ateet said. “We pride ourselves on handling our weddings with professionalism and creativity, and are committed to making sure our clients’ visions become their reality.”
As we looked to form Indian Destination Wedding, we asked ourselves a simple question:
What could we do to not only stand out among the crowd, but to help our clients have the wedding of their dreams?
The answer was simple: We’d actually spend time getting to know our clients before we start planning their weddings.
People who choose us to plan their wedding or travel arrangements are taken back by how committed we are to getting to know their vision. A singular phone call or hastily written email simply won’t do. We engage in conversations with our clients because we know it’s this type of personalized touch that will help us create customized tours and packages that are as unique and individualized as our clients themselves.
An expertise in recreating the idyllic Indian experience
Ateet and his team of travel and wedding planning experts have helped plan and execute countless culturally diverse and destination weddings since the mid-90s. Being Indian, Ateet is uniquely gifted in designing and developing Indian weddings that feature many aspects of the culture. He speaks Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Spanish, and is well-skilled in understanding, respecting, and implementing the many subtle – yet important – cultural differences that an Indian wedding might encompass, including food, clothing, music and traditions. “The magic of a successful destination wedding is in the details,” Ateet said. “From making sure guests’ travel plans are taken care of to ensuring that the linens match the overall décor, we treat every component as if it’s the most important because, simply put, it is.”

Amazing Experience working with the team! They really know what they are doing and so glad we went with someone who has been in the South Asian wedding industry for quite some time...
and had good fusion wedding experience. Had the best time working with them and they made our wedding fun!
I don’t think it’s possible to explain how much Ateet and his team mean to us. They were an incredibly integral part of our wedding festivities which comprised of 4 wedding events ...
in Vienna, Austria, throughout which they not only took care of logistics but helped to make it the most unforgettable weekend of our lives. They took the challenge of a fusion Indian and Chinese wedding and set a new standard beyond what we’ve ever experienced. We still pinch ourselves for being so lucky to have them for our wedding. They set the tone and made sure everything ran smoothly. We love Ateet and his talented team.
We truly enjoyed working with Ateet for our wedding in Riviera Maya in November 2019! All our guests ravedabout how it was one of the best weddings they’d been to, and Ateet did ev...
erything he could to make the booking process for our guests as smooth as possible. My husband and I also appreciated all of Ateet’s help in the actual wedding planning process as he facilitated us through a few issues we had with our wedding coordinator for the resort. Without him, we probably wouldn’t have had such a successful and memorable wedding – thanks Ateet! We definitely recommend him and IDW to any prospective couples looking into a destination wedding.
Working with Ateet and Indian Destination Wedding was an amazing experience. From day 1 to when we were still considering a destination wedding, he was always by our side. In our i...
nitial conversation we told him what was important to us and then he short listed our options to help us find what we wanted. After locking in the resort, we left the room bookings in his hands and he took care of everything for our guests giving us one less thing to worry about. Furthermore, due to his strong relationships with our resort, any time we had an issue or needed some thing escalated, he personally handled our concerns and made sure they were resolved to the best of his abilities. Lastly, his presence at the resort during our wedding was extremely helpful. He greeted most of our guests when they checked in and tried his best to tend to any rooming concerns of theirs and ensured their departure shuttles were taken care of. From day 1 he treated us as family and the little details that were important to us could not have been executed without him and his team.
Ateet and his staff are fun, extremely professional, and truly care. And of course, they are incredible at what they do. You will never feel that they are a vendor of yours because...
of the personal touch and the kind hearts they bring to your event. They care not only because they are a good group of people, but because they are extremely passionate about what they do. They brought such talent to our wedding (which spanned 3 days). This was important to us as my wife and I come from different cultures (Mexican and Indian). We were lucky enough to have multiple members of his staff there and we were able to see just how talented each of them were. Our favorite part of the weekend was when Ateet took the mic and joined us on the dance floor singing along and dancing to salsa, etc. Bottom line, the weekend would not have been the same without them.”
We were introduced to Ateet Ahuja of Indian Destination Wedding through a mutual friend, and it was nice to work with someone who was a trusted recommendation. We had several calls...
with Ateet regarding which resort to have our destination wedding at and his guidance was quite helpful. He is very knowledgeable about the different properties available for weddings. The hotel transfers for the guests were handled professionally which made guest travel convenient. He was available to us by phone and email no matter the frequency or how many questions we had. He was also really helpful with last minute bookings and upgrades. I would recommend working with Ateet if you have a destination wedding or a family vacation you need help planning. Thank you Ateet!
We booked our family trip and 10-year anniversary to Cancun with Ateet Ahuja of Indian Destination Wedding and had the best experience! From the moment we started planning, Ateet p...
rovided us with hotel recommendations, activities, travel planning, tips, and key insights into what we could expect. Ateet worked tirelessly to get us the best price for our trip, despite our inability to choose from the amazing properties that he showed us. We just returned from Cancun and had the most memorable trip! We were shuttled to and from the airport in a stretch limo, treated like royalty at the hotel, and there were no details left unaccounted for. We’re already looking forward to our next trip and will look to Ateet and Travel Tom to take care of everything once again!
