he property. The ceremony was held at the gorgeous Lily House, in the lawn in back. Staff set up white chairs and the florist and DJ contributed to making it the perfect setting for a wedding. Our cocktail hour was held on the Bluestone….a perfect space for guests to mingle while grabbing a cocktail and some appetizers from Kahn’s Catering. It’s important to note that if you book at Newfields they are contracted with Kahn’s to handle all food, beverages and tableware.
Following cocktail hour was the beautiful reception in Deer Pavilion. We accommodated 180 people easily in the space without feeling crowded. Twinkle lights from the ceiling set up by their AV team added to the ambiance.
Allie Steel was our Newfields rep and was excellent to work with. Planning was easy and she was able to handle all our requests. On the day of, Allie was present to help in any way and made many trips to various parts of the property helping guests who needed a golf cart. Best of all, she was kind and helpful in making our vision come to life.

de Deer Pavilion. The spaces photographed beautifully and created such a romantic atmosphere for our guests. We heard from many guests afterward that it was one of, if not the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended.
Rachel was knowledgeable, welcoming, and inviting during our initial tour, which made us feel confident moving forward with booking. After signing our contract, Rose became our main event contact and was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. She maintained open communication, was responsive to questions, and helped everything feel organized leading up to the wedding.
The venue is definitely on the pricier side, but the beauty of the property and overall atmosphere made it feel worth it to us.
Our biggest downside was the exclusive catering requirement through Kahn’s Catering, which unfortunately did not meet our expectations. While this was separate from the venue staff and overall venue experience, it was one of the more disappointing aspects of the day and something couples should keep in mind when considering Newfields.
Overall, Newfields provided a gorgeous setting for our wedding and gave us a truly memorable backdrop for the day.

nicative. There are several options for a second location to host a ceremony or cocktail hour. The garden is available for pictures, which is a great spot for photos. It’s such a beautiful venue that we didn’t feel like we needed to take wedding photos at other locations in the city. We had both indoor and outdoor spots for photos. Our reception was about 270 people, which is the ideal number for that space with a dance floor. I wouldn’t recommend more than that or else it would be tight. Definitely recommend!!!

my family & photographers. We were yelled at multiple times for taking pictures in popular spots that are in their marketing wedding material!! You could tell museum staff were over weddings/brides and not respectful. They were rude, not helpful, told our photographers to put cameras away at points, and overall just not nice. It was such a shock and very disappointing. Our assigned coordinator from Newfields was never around to help either. We also had to share picture spots with random brides, even though I had paid for the venue for my own wedding. For the price paid for this venue, & several great reviews, you’d expect top notch experience. Kahn’s however, was amazing to work with, so I don’t want to take anything away from them.
The wedding was beautiful & the rest of the night was unforgettable, but the day time/pre wedding/photos we felt so disrespected, it was pretty disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend choosing this as your venue, as no bride should be treated like this on their wedding day.

The view again was so pretty with the fall leaves through the giant windows and the fountain lit up at night. Our guests kept coming up to us raving about the venue. Erin was our venue coordinator and was so easy to work with - very responsive and attentive to details. I would do it all over again if I could - highly recommend!!

day we looked at it. The words modern and elegant both accurately describe the space. The event manager, Nicole, was excellent. She answered all of our questions quickly and even handled my last minute requests with ease.
The day of the wedding we got dressed in some of the classroom spaces (a very last minute request) and we were then able to take pictures on the grounds/have our first look.
The parking situation for guests is incredibly easy. There's a garage with an elevator that goes straight into the cocktail hour, which is great for handicap accessibility. Guests can also leave their cars overnight if needed.
Note, the $4,500 is just the room rental. The exclusive caterer (Kahn's) does have a catering minimum so that's not included in what is listed here.

Inside the space is beautiful - light and airy - with shades of green which complimented my peach and green colors perfectly. Lauren was our day of coordinator and she did great. Cost of renting for a Saturday night wedding was $2000 so obviously a great value for a small wedding (building only holds 60 total). Total thumbs up!

een a little faster, but it was a nice relaxing evening. My only gripe was that they need to shade the silverware for the cocktail hour on hot days, or put them in ice or something. The silverware was so hot no one could eat the great appetizers!
Overall beautiful venue and very happy with it.

The events staff were very responsive and easy to work with. It is a bit pricey, and the catering minimum really only allows for a larger reception, but I cannot think of a better location. The Deer Zink looks out on the large fountain in front of the museum, and they light it up for the evening.
