I found Jaimie and fell in love with her beautiful style, her photos artfully capture the light and shadows and this is exactly what I wanted. In addition to loving her photos, she was very hands off- in that I got to just enjoy time with my new husband and friends and she stayed in the background just capturing every moment. Nothing irritates me more than 500 stiff posed photos and fake forced laughter pictures, but looking through our album, every reaction is genuine and real and makes me smile to just remember the moment. She perfectly captured my relationship with my husband. In regards to the actual posed photos, because everyone gets at least a few, she really knew how to get everyone's attention and efficiently get the families together, lined up, and smiling. It was very no nonsense which is exactly what you need when everyone's excited and distracted and in the way. I hate taking photos but this was just so easy and relaxed and I love my wedding photos.

We hired Jaimie as our engagement and wedding photographer. I just want to start off by saying, Jaimie is an amazingly talented photographer and we ultimately, for the most part, were very happy with the photos we received from both our wedding and engagement session. Jaimie’s style fit perfectly with the type of photography we were wanting. Although, we did want to make note that we were, unfortunately, not very happy with the way Jaimie acted on our wedding day. Jaimie’s style is to capture the moment and not interfere much, which is nice for some candid moments but we felt it was a bit unprofessional at times. Both parents on my and my husband’s side commented to us about Jaimie and asked if there was something wrong as she was a bit harsh and quite cold when taking family photos and interacting with family/wedding party throughout the day. Also, my husband and I do not feel very comfortable in front of a camera and candid photos are great, but we felt as though we were quite directionless and in a lot of photos you can tell we felt pretty awkward and uncomfortable/not sure what to do next. We have been in many weddings for family and friends in the past and the photographer is a key part in making people feel happy, comfortable, and most importantly- exited about the extremely special day they are experiencing. In our experience we unfortunately did not feel that way working with Jaimie. We truly wish her the best and we don’t make a habit of leaving negative reviews as we understand how much of an impact reviews can have on people’s businesses. We just felt as though we should share our experience so others can make an informed decision when choosing their wedding photographer.

We have had a fantastic time working with Jaimie! We chose to add on a short engagement photo session so we could get to know her, which was super helpful especially since we were traveling in from out of town. We ran into a small issue when Jaimie was late to our engagement session, but as soon as that was sorted, everything else was excellent! We LOVE the photos and Jaimie was so relaxed and helpful during both the engagement session and the wedding day plus all prep leading up to it. I have a giant family and Jaimie did such a great job at corralling all of them for family photos. I love Jaimie's approach to photography and it really made it easy for my now-husband and I to have fun and be ourselves. Jaimie would be a great addition to your wedding day!

Jaimie did an absolutely fantastic job with both our ceremony and reception being on two separate days and worked with us throughout the process to make sure that we had a plethora of different photos for both events. She was always pleasant to work with, prompt in all communication, and helped give me ideas when I was planning out the two days. I loved that she was able to wrangle in my family on the ceremony day for family portraits and recommend a better location in Forest Park than I had in mind, and then she was able to turn around the next day and get creative with couple photos with my husband and I before our reception. She was versatile for each step of our wedding and made everything easy. I would totally recommend her to anyone else looking for a wedding photographer.

My husband and I are SO happy we went with Jaimie as our wedding photographer! She has an ease about her that made us feel confident and comfortable in her presence. She focused on capturing candid photos of genuine interactions, while still managing to find the most beautiful light. The day before our wedding all weather channels were predicting a 100% chance of rain for the following day and forecasting 1 to 2 inches to collect. Though the weather is something you absolutely can't control, especially in St. Louis, we'd be lying if we didn't admit the forecast was the biggest factor adding to our stress level. We so desperately wanted to get married outdoors. Unsure of what circumstances we would find ourselves in that day, Jaimie sent us an email listing all the various options she had thought of in case of inclement weather. She probably didn't realize just how relieved that email made us feel. In that moment we knew that no matter where we'd end up exchanging our vows the following day, Jaimie would make it work and capture something that we loved. We ended having our ceremony in a different garden than intended due to on and off rain the entire day. The heavier precipitation broke just in time for our ceremony, and it was only lightly misting as I walked down the aisle. The setting and mood were absolutely beautiful and more us than anything we could have envisioned. Jaimie was a huge part of making us feel relaxed in that moment. She is obviously super talented, but also has a great ability to connect with her clients. We could't recommend more highly!

Jaimie is absolutely wonderful to work with! We are so glad we chose her. We knew right away that she was right for us. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and I just LOVE the amazing candid shots she captures. Her photos capture real moments, and she still even fits in those classic posed photos to that the grandparents want. We were running so behind schedule at our wedding and Jaimie and the second shooter, Jake handled it with pure ease and worked so well with our rowdy wedding party. You cannot go wrong with choosing Jaimie as your wedding photographer. Her images will capture the emotions and laughter so you can continue to relive it all and she is incredibly sweet and down to earth!

AMAZING! I can not say enough good things about Jaimie and her work! I spent so much time researching photographers, so afraid to make the wrong choice and wanting beautiful photos that matched my vision. I stumbled upon Jamie's website and knew instantly I had to book her. After hearing from so many vendors that my date was not available I was so nervous when emailing photographers. So I am sure you can imagine my excitement and relief when Jaimie quickly responded that she still had availability that day. I felt so comfortable meeting with her for the first time and discussing my plans for the day. After getting our engagement photos back (quickly I might add) I was even more excited. They exceeded what I had in mind! And then... our wedding photos. I can't even find the words to explain how happy my husband and I were with her gorgeous documentation of our big day! There were so many details (that I missed in the whirlwind of that day) that she captured so beautifully. Some of my favorites are candids of our friends and family at the reception. It is so great to have those memories! Five stars doesn't even begin to give Jaimie enough credit for her incredible eye and artistic talent! I can't wait to work with her again in the future!

We couldn't be happier with our choice of photographer! Jaimie was incredibly laid back and great a getting us to relax and look candid in our photos. As we moved around and took photos Jaimie would tell us stories and have us hum to each other to capture some really beautiful moments. There is no one else that has her eye for light and composition. We have wedding photos that are so beautiful and so us!

Jaimie is a truly great wedding photographer. From the moment we began looking for someone to document the big day, I fell in love with her website. There were a few things that impressed me: her overall style, a bit darker/moodier than other St. Louis wedding photographers, and her stand-out bio. I was really impressed that her pictures kept the vertical lines of structures from keystoning! You can tell that she pays close attention to lighting and details. We got to know her shooting style during our complimentary engagement shoot, and that really helped the pictures go smoothly the day of the wedding. On top of all that, the photos we have seen in the first week are absolutely stunning. Looking at each of them, I can relive the moments in which they were taken. Not only did Jaimie do an amazing job with our photos, she connected us with other awesome vendors. As an out of town couple, we appreciated all the extra help she gave along the way.

Where do I begin.....Jaimie was and is awesome! From day one, she connected with me because she was so laid back and I didn't feel pressured to do or purchased anything I did not want. She listened and my wants and delivered exactly as we discussed! She made this process so easy for us and I loved that she not only captured what I asked, but she also captured those candid shots that both Vince and I were not able to see due to our getting ready for the ceremony and our actual ceremony. Jaimie was no stranger; she jumped right in and even helped me with my wedding gown and gave good tips like she was a part of the family! There are not enough positive words to describe how pleased Sean and I were with our experience with Jamie. She went above and beyond with absolutely everything regarding our wedding. She promptly answered all of our questions, provided helpful suggestions on locations and timelines, created an easy to navigate online portal to view all of our pictures, and was so incredibly patient on the day of while we rounded up family members and tried to stay on track. We are so happy to have been able to work with Jaimie. We were originally drawn to her portfolio because of the way that she uses light in her photos. She literally walks around, face to the sky, following the sunlight... and she is SO good at it. Our photos are all beautiful and look more like art than two very awkward people (yes, that's me and my husband) posing for cheesy photos. She takes candid shots that perfectly capture all of the emotions of the day, but is also a rock star at corralling your family to get those important portrait shots in, too. Jaimie was so helpful in choosing locations to shoot, she was a Godsend when it came to figuring out the wedding day timeline, and she was more than willing to jump in & help with wardrobe, flower, and cake cutting fiascos. Jaimie was a great photographer to work with. She was responsive to emails and phone calls and was very flexible which was important to us since we were planning the wedding from out of town. I also highly enjoyed her dry sense of humor. On the day of the wedding, she arrived on time and was super responsive. Jaimie has the uncanny ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and to capture relationships between people in her photos. Did I mention she is a ninja? Unlike some other photographers at weddings I attended, we did not notice Jaimie's presence during the ceremony and reception and she still somehow managed to get every photo at the perfect angle.

We had several fabulous experiences with Jaimie! In reviewing her online portfolio, we were in awe of the beauty of her work. After meeting with her, and feeling like instant friends, we selected her to capture the moments of our special day. She is very warm and personable. She knows exactly how to get people to feel comfortable in front of a camera. She is extremely talented! We had our engagement session with her in Lafayette Square Park in the early morning hours. The light was so beautiful, and so were the surroundings!! She is very creative and has an eye for photography like no other. She offers competitive pricing on her services and is very responsive and dependable. She uses an amazing online client portal that allows users to track their account (makes payments, etc), view pictures, print pictures and so much more. It's very convenient! Our wedding day is one that we will always remember, because Jaimie was there with us along the way capturing sweet moments. Despite the freezing temperature of 37 degrees with 45mph wind gusts, she was able to take stunning photographs that honestly appear to have been taken on a sunny, warm and calm spring day. Rather than suggesting forced-looking poses, she truly captures the true essence of her clients and how they interact with each other. In addition to our wedding and engagement photo sessions, I also scheduled a boudoir session with Jaimie as a gift to my fiancee. The pictures were just gorgeous and I felt so glamourous. Again- she knows just how to make everyone feel comfortable. Jaimie is a true professional! She should be at the top of your list!

Photography was really important to me, and I was discouraged when I started planning in January to find many local photographers already booked. I found Jaimie's profile on the Knot, and I'm so glad we were able to book her. She traveled to Illinois to shoot both our wedding and our engagement photos, which allowed us to get engagement photos at places that were meaningful to us. I've only seen previews of our wedding photos, but what I've seen is amazing. In addition to how great our photos look, Jaimie is also warm, easy-going, and funny, which translates into helping everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. She was really easy to communicate with and responsive to emails for planning and scheduling. She also has lots of experience shooting weddings, so she's a fount of tips and tricks for any wedding day problems - for me it was helping pin in an uncooperative veil. Highly recommend!

Jaimie was amazing!! I contacted her somewhat last minute to shoot our elopement at Busch Stadium. We set up a phone consultation to go over what I wanted, as well as the contract & pricing. Her online "booking" process was extremely user friendly! She was accommodating to our slight time & location change. The day of she was early and started working right away. She captured every moment we wanted from our day and more. She was very patient & never asked us to awkwardly pose, everything was very natural. We couldn't be happier with the finished photos! The online gallery was so easy to share with friends & family. Her delivery time was VERY quick as well! Can't recommend her enough!

If you want a great photographer that is creative and knows how to create good shots, this is the photographer for you! Jaimie did an amazing job on our engagement session and on our wedding day. She is able to create amazing photos out of simple backgrounds and she finds amazing spaces to take pictures. She will give you the time and attention needed to create your perfect day. Jaimie Krause was an amazing photographer. Once we met with her, we knew we needed to have her as our photographer. She made our experience great from the engagement photos to the day of the actual wedding. She is very thoughtful and throughout the process sent us nice little customized gifts that were so perfect. She definitely knows what she is doing and is able to work very quickly. She was great at showing us some photos during each session to see how great she was able to make us look ☺, and really use all the time to get as many different photos as possible. She has a real talent for also finding angles, spaces, light and colors to really make the photos stand out in a dramatic and stunning way. Jaimie was nice, but she was late to both our engagement shoot and our wedding. Our wedding timeline was pretty packed, and I was already nervous about making it from our getting ready venue to the wedding for "first look" pictures, so I was not very happy when she was more interested in chatting than getting started when she finally arrived. About a month after the wedding, I asked when we would see our preview album on Facebook, and she told me it would be up the next day. After a week of seeing other people's albums go up (of weddings which occurred after ours), I asked again, and she finally put it up (she said she clicked the wrong date for it to go up). Our pictures are nice and the price was lower than almost any other photographer I found, but I was often frustrated working with her.

Jaimie and her crew are honestly rock stars. We found her at a wedding show, before I signed up on The Knot or did any research, and she was so funny, charismatic, and approachable, which really struck us (she also had the most stellar business cards and setup, so kudos). While most people feel awkward and flash that "Chandler Bing smile" as she'll tell you, Jaimie can help you avoid that entirely. My husband and I weren't super excited about engagement photos, with the goofy poses and cheesy props, but after talking with Jaimie and actually getting them done, we absolutely love them. Her approach is casual, relaxed, and real. She catches the real deal, not a posed one - and that's just the engagement photos. Given the sneak peak of the wedding photos, I expect nothing less from those. She was more than helpful with the wedding planning, breaking down the events of the day. Jaimie is an amazing photographer! Our wedding package included our engagement photos and a 5 hour wedding photo session. When we first booked Jaimie, we knew we were sort of taking a risk because we hadn't even met with any other photographers as we were only in the state for a short period of time before heading back to MA, where we resided. Due to our short period of availability, we actually took our engagement photos the day we met her! However, once we started taking the photos, we were instantly put at ease. Jaimie had some great ideas for the photos and also listened to our ideas. She is a great photographer to work with. Both our engagement and wedding pictures turned out amazing. Jaimie was great! We had lots of fun working with her for both our engagement session as well as our wedding. She is professional, friendly and easy to get along with. The only "downside" to Jaimie is she seems pretty reserved when she is working, and it is often hard to understand what she is trying to get you to do/where she is tryin to get you to go. This made me nervous during our engagement session but I knew what to expect with her after that, and the wedding went smoothly because of it. And in any event, the awkwardness does not show in her amazing photos. She gave us exactly what we were looking for and asked for and I would not have picked anybody else!

My husband and I had to plan our wedding long distance, from the location and each other, and on a very small budget. My husband and I are thrilled with what we got for the money we spent!! Jaimie is so willing to work with you even on a small budget as we were on and it helped us out immensely!! Big or small wedding she will do an amazing job no doubt!! Highly highly recommend!!

Truly talented, I'm shocked at how many great photos there were with how little she had to work with (bride/bridesmaids trapped in dark basement for getting ready photos, wedding dress malfunction, etc). With the photos I was able to enjoy all the nuances I wasn't able to notice in all the chaos and unexpected events.. Very nice packaging for our final CD, good response time throughout the process. Only mishap were the family photos were unorganized (no prior communication to plan who/what families), which led to some members not photographed, and a crazy crowd all wanting photos at the same time! Overall, very happy to have worked with Jaimie & would highly recommend!

My son's wedding was 2 weeks ago and Jaimie was the photographer...she was very kind and did a great job through the whole thing even with many different sets of large families to photograph. She has started revealing some of the pictures she took at the wedding and they are SOOO good!

I had gone through several photographers, and finally found Jaimie. I'm so glad I did because our pictures are phenomenal. She was patient and worked with our budget, allowing us to have our memories framed, forever. I will definitely be using Jaimie's services in the future and recommend her to everyone I know! If you are looking for someone who does amazing work but won't try to take your arm, leg and first born child as payment (aka, super expensive!) you need to book Jaimie! Thank you again, Jaimie!
