Ingle Co. Photography

ugh time for all of the family photos we had hoped to have. These are moments and combinations of people that we can never recreate, which makes it incredibly difficult knowing we simply don't have those memories captured. We also felt there was very little direction when it came to posing and missed photo opportunities throughout the day. Many of my photos, including my bridal portraits, are unflattering. In one particularly important photo, my mom's face is completely covered by her hair, something that could have easily been corrected with a different angle or simple direction. On a day when you're already feeling vulnerable, having a photographer who can confidently guide you and make you feel your best is incredibly important and Hannah was unable to do so.  The bridesmaids' photos were especially disappointing. Hannah photographed the bridesmaids while Will photographed the groomsmen, and the difference was very noticeable. Many of the bridesmaids' photos were poorly centered, awkwardly posed, or had someone looking away, while Will's photos of the men were natural, flattering, and well composed. We were also disappointed with the editing and album quality. Simple corrections that could have significantly improved important photos were not made and they stated they do not photoshop edit their photos. They hired someone to attempt to photoshop my mom's face into one image and remove visible hanger straps from my mother-in-law's dress. We were made to feel guilty for requesting these edits, which was incredibly frustrating. We also specifically asked for color versions of photos that were delivered permanently in black and white and were refused.  It’s not fair for them to decide on their own what photos should be in black and white; especially because we can just apply filter if we wanted to. We strongly recommend asking to see an entire wedding gallery before booking, rather than only judging from Instagram's selected best images. The Polaroids were a cute idea, but there were moments where a Polaroid was taken instead of a professional photograph. We would have much rather had professional-quality images of those moments to preserve forever. We were also surprised by how impersonal some of our communication felt, including seeing an AI chat assistant that they were using during a Zoom call. We could see the reflection of their computer screen. We also received messages that appeared clearly AI-generated. It left us feeling disconnected from the people we were trusting with such an important responsibility. The hardest part is that we cannot redo our wedding day. We cannot recreate the family members standing together, the moments that were missed, or the versions of ourselves that existed that day. We will never get the colored photos that we wanted and are stuck with black and white only.  We genuinely wish we could say that we love our wedding photos, but unfortunately, we don't. That is incredibly difficult to accept, and we hope sharing our experience helps other couples look beyond a photographer's portfolio and carefully consider how they direct, communicate, edit, and capture the moments that can never be recreated.
