A review on The Knot seems like too small a gesture of appreciation for such a wonderful group of people, at such a wonderful place in Napa. Nevertheless, we'd be remiss if we didn...
't share our amazing experience at the Inn on Randolph with whoever is willing to read it. My husband and I got married at the Inn on Randolph in July 2017, so yes, we LOVE the Inn and the staff. Still, our love for the Inn started months before, when we first visited in February 2017. As we looked for venues in Napa, where we'd gotten engaged, we made a stop at the Inn. I had spoken with Alyssia about our vision, and her warmth and excitement gave us a good feeling about the location. I vividly remember leaving the Inn after our meeting, and wondering why we'd bother visiting any other venues. First of all, the Inn is beautiful. The house is historic, inviting, warm -- a home away from home. Second, Alyssia really understood what we were going for, and she embraced the challenge. I don't know where we fall on the scale of being demanding. I'd like to think we're easy going about stuff, but when it comes to weddings, I'm sure we probably caused some stress, just like any other couple. Not once were we made to feel like we were being too needy, unreasonable, or indecisive. The folks at the Inn gave us guidance and made the process so enjoyable and memorable. On our subsequent visit to taste our wedding menu, it was as if they'd read our minds, which goes to show just how much they cared and listened. By the time our wedding day arrived, we'd already decided that the Inn on Randolph would be the only place we'd ever stay when in Napa.
Our wedding was a dream come true. It was more than we could have ever hoped for, and the entire staff at the Inn went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day of our lives. We were fortunate enough to be able to have 20 of our closest family and friends stay at the Inn on our wedding weekend. From accommodating the two babies, to customizing the breakfast menu, we are still hearing rave reviews from our family and friends. The Inn on Randolph is one of the most unique and special places you'll ever have the pleasure of visiting. We'd also be remiss if we didn't talk a little more about the food. Chef Diane is a master of the kitchen. She spoiled us with an amazing wedding cake, and the gluten-free cookies are beyond irresistible. The attention to detail over everything at the Inn is a testament to the thoughtfulness of the entire staff. If you have the opportunity to get married here, don't even hesitate.
My wife and I stayed at Inn on Randolph (Inn) for a week, for our honeymoon. The overall experience was fantastic, with a variety of highlights we would like to share.
When we ...
first arrived at the Inn, we had been experiencing a rather difficult start to our honeymoon with airport problems, and GPS trouble finding Napa. By the time we pulled into the Inn we were really hoping for some things to start going right. And boy did it! Karen, the owner, met us at the front and took us for a tour of what I can only describe as a hidden campus. From the curb the Inn looks like a good sized home with a well manicured lawn, but once you get past the front, you discover a spacious property, including sitting gardens, a handful of private cottages, a Tasting/Game House, and a Spa House, plus a cozy parking lot, letting us get unpacked in relative privacy.
We stayed in the Fowler Cottage, and it was a beautiful and peaceful place from which to plan and recover from our excursions. The bed was large, very comfortable, and the sheets were unlike anything my wife or I had ever experienced. The cottage included an AC unit, a remote controlled ceiling fan, a gas fireplace, a cute dining area with a glass top cafe table, a wet-bar with microwave and mini-fridge (restocked daily with filtered water and fresh cream), a jacuzzi tub, and a spacious, walk-in shower with -two- shower heads (One on each side of the shower). Being able to take a shower with my wife and have the water be nice and cool, while she was steaming herself in the other one, was amazing.
Also of significant note is that we were not only met with a glass of wine upon arrival, but we had a complimentary bottle left in our room for us, and were offered additional complimentary glasses throughout our stay.
Karen offered to arrange a variety of fun things for us to do around Napa, and we ended up taking her up on one in particular: A couples massage, right there in the Inn's Spa house. Easily some of the best money spent there. By the time my wife and I were done, we stumbled dreamily back to our cottage and collapsed into the amazing sheets we mentioned earlier.
The service was definitely top-notch, with the staff ensuring that we had everything we needed to complete our plans for a given day, whether that was giving advise of the best places to check out in downtown Napa, or lining up reservations for vineyards or restaurants we wanted to check out. They even provided water canteens and flashlights (as well as an emergency contact number for the owner) to take with us on our trips out.
Five mornings of hot breakfast, and they were all unique, were well presented, and most importantly, delicious and filling. Ranging from souffles to blueberry pancakes, they kept us well fed and happy every morning. Fresh coffee and teas, along with granola, fresh yogurt and fruits were also available every morning.
There is so much more we would like to say about this Inn, but this is already getting a bit verbose, so we will simply say this is a "Must Stay" B&B for anyone visiting Napa.
