He is an amazing team player who made us feel so at ease with the schedule, kept us on track, kept our stress levels low, and kept the vibes positive. I do not think we would have had as smooth, enjoyable, or memorable of a day if we had any other DJ - he was honestly THAT spectacular. The only attempt we were aware of to fix the situation was telling us to hold the microphone differently, which didn't work and didn't make sense since the audio was still not working while the microphone was on the stand during the ceremony. This was especially disappointing for the vows and speeches where it was not only awkward speaking with the disruption, but also listening to everyone else speak.

s and he was very quick to adjust and executed them perfectly. As far as Instant Request as a whole, we were less impressed. Our venue required certain DJs be used and we picked Instant Request based on lowest price. However, we realized later it was more expensive than it had initially appeared. We felt some of the information was misleading. Essentially, we thought we had purchased ceremony & reception services for a total dollar amount that had been stated in several locations, only to find out that was not the case and we owed more for ceremony services that was listed separately in a less obvious area on the contract. Once I expressed my confusion and that I felt misled, however, they were very quick to remedy the situation which I greatly appreciated. Especially so close to the wedding. They also told me they no longer use the contract we had signed up for due to it causing confusion so I would think this situation won't happen again. Overall, the day went perfectly, but communication with their office could benefit from being more clear leading up to the day of.

He was very helpful and easy to interact with during the planning for our day. During the wedding dinner and dance, he did a great job keeping the event flowing well and keeping people dancing all night. Our lasting memory from the end of the night was that the dance floor was packed and everyone was having a great time!

Truly we had such a great time and we can’t say enough amazing things about DJ Eric. Beyond the amazing dance floor, DJ Eric was a great emcee! So personable, fun, and drove the timeline exactly as we needed. All in all, HIGHLY recommend DJ Eric for your wedding.

At our reception, he came outside to the courtyard to find us and let us know that the song we discussed for limbo was coming up. That was thoughtful! We really appreciated his attentiveness. He also was SO smooth at transitioning before songs. For example, “Party in the USA” was on. The part where she sings, “a Britney song came on,” DJ Jimmy mixed in a motif of “Hit me baby one more time.” That was the next song that came on. That was AWESOME because we off-handedly talked about how I love Britney Spears. DJ Jimmy really payed attention and made us feel special. I want to mention one more time that our guests had repeatedly mentioned that he was an incredible DJ and that it was their favorite wedding dance to attend. He kept guests of all ages constantly on the dance floor. We couldn’t thank him enough! Thanks again for an incredible wedding reception!

We also were able to include friends and family for pieces of the MC work. We are very happy we selected Instant Request. It allowed us to include a very diverse selection of music. Communication was great and the price is fair.

One suggestion I’d have is that InstantRequest offer more musical genres for cocktail hour (we opted to use our own Spotify playlist for cocktail hour). Though they are more than willing to source any songs not currently in their library for the reception (they also have a fairly extensive library of songs for the reception), their preset cocktail hour playlists lacked the categories we would’ve wanted.

eally created a fun ambiance for the wedding reception. We think paying extra for the Black Tie option was totally worth it! DJ Alex had lots of previous experience DJ’ing for a diverse audience (we wanted to play a variety of international songs, including Bollywood, for our Indian-American fusion wedding). Alex did a great job of checking in with us ahead of time to ensure he had the correct playlist and details of our wedding. He was also great about checking in with folks on the day of the wedding- such as the officiant before the ceremony to talk about microphone usage and cues, and the wedding party to make sure he was pronouncing names correctly during the grand march. We had requested a bunch of songs during our wedding that had to be played at certain points, which he kept track of and played all of them at the right times. Alex was able to read the room and play the correct songs to keep the crowd going and enjoy their time on the dance floor. He balanced the playlist well, starting off with some classic wedding songs, then transitioned to energetic tunes while mixing in some oldies and a few slow songs when appropriate. Everyone had a great time on the dance floor - we had many guests remain on the dance floor until the very end of the night, which is testament to his great DJ’ing skills. Overall we would highly recommend Instant Request and especially DJ Alex!

During set up, he took the time to formally introduce himself in between pictures, did sound checks with our Officiant and family, and OMG everything was flawless! Alex also kept everyone on the dance floor, and was amazing at reading the crowd, changing music, as well as ensuring our "must plays" were played! I will be recommending Instant Request to everyone, hands down!! 🙂
