orse/viking themed wedding here in Oct 2024 and it was just so gorgeous and so much fun! The owners are super easy to talk to and are flexible. They provided us the full space, dressing cabin, 2 arches (one for ceremony and one as a backdrop for our sweetheart table) generators, bathrooms, and lights! They have heaters as well but it just so happened to warm up the week of our wedding so we didn’t need them. But it’s sick a beautiful space, fully surrounded by the woods and the keep the area open and level! We absolutely loved this venue!

s. Our parents met for the first time at Maggio's, we went on our first camping trip together at Hanna Flat, and we unofficially dedicated a tree in my fiance's grandmother's honor. Getting married in Big Bear was really important to us, however we knew we wanted to be somewhere that was more intimate and surrounded by nature. We found Into The Woods with a quick Google Search and instantly were drawn to it's beauty. We decided to visit the venue, even though it was covered in snow. This was the first venue we toured, and there was just something magical about it. Then we met Jeff. Jeff is an amazing person, both professionally and personally. We talked with him at length about our wedding, but also about life in general. Jeff is someone who you can trust to be there for you throughout the planning process, and the wedding day itself. The day of our wedding, Jeff helped ensure vendors knew where to go, and he helped with parking and other needs that came up throughout the night, so as a bride, I didn't have to. My wedding party, specifically my maids of honor, really appreciated how much he was willing to help out with. Into The Woods has a vendor list curated by Jeff after discovering the best vendors that serve the area. Us not knowing anything about wedding planning and not having a planner found this incredibly helpful. Our photographer ended up being someone who captured our love in style we wanted. Our dream of serving tacos at our wedding happened seamlessly as World Famous Tacos is one of the vendors. Our tables and chairs were beautiful. The bartenders were absolutely out of this world -- our guests couldn't get over how delicious they were. Getting to have our cake from a local bakery we go to each time we visit (SisterMySister) was the icing on the cake (; Overall, his vendor list made it easy for us to book who we needed to, and it was easy to trust them as we knew Jeff would only steer us in the right direction. As a bride who had a vision for her wedding, Into The Woods made it easy to achieve that vision. It is a blank canvas, which is something I really valued. I wanted to embrace our surroundings as our backdrop, and that's exactly what we did! Our wedding was "camp" themed, and everyone truly embraced being outside together the entire evening. When the fairy lights turned on, it created such a magical area to dance with our loved ones. The bathroom onsite is perfect for guests of all ages, and the bridal cabin was large enough for my bridal party of 9, myself, and my mom to get ready. Jeff, if you are reading this, thank you for helping our day be so magical. We adore you, and we cannot wait for anniversaries to come so we can visit again soon. We will always keep in touch.

on how beautiful the venue was, and how fantastic the owners are! Into The Woods was the first venue we saw, and booked it immediately - no need to see anywhere else. With the pine trees, string lights, and getting ready cabin, this place was perfect! Jeff and Tere were SO helpful during the entire process, and are such kind people. We booked all of our vendors off their preferred vendor list, and could not have had a more perfect wedding day! Overall, our wedding day was a dream come true, thanks to Into The Woods.

our first trip we took as a couple, so when we found this venue - we felt like we hit the jack pot . If you love the outdoors/camping like us, book now! Jeff does an amazing job at keeping his property clean, as well as leveled for ceremony/reception purposes. The surrounding trees in Big Bear speak for itself. As you wind around highway 38, we truly felt like we weren’t even in Big Bear. It is somewhat secluded and just beautiful! I am someone who asked many questions. I would actually contact Jeff personally through his personal cell, and he was ALWAYS responsive and helpful. Additionally, he will make accommodations when necessary. He works with you! He truly does care about people and he wants you to have the best day! We brought it in our own vendors, and everything ran PERFECTLY. I don’t have one bad thing to share about my wedding, and I truly mean that. It was a beautiful day, and I owe a huge thank you to Jeff & his wife for working with us. and Tere and gracious and very welcoming hosts. They met us with a warm hello and told us they were available anytime we needed during our stay. They recently built a new cabin where the bride or groom can easily get dressed and ready before their ceremony that is nestled in the middle of a gorgeously lit forest. It is a place that feels like a dream. The drive that the guests take before they arrive to Into the Woods is a beautiful scenic road with lots of viewpoints to take in. It would be an honor to get to come back to photograph and/or film another wedding here. A real treat.

and this made that possible. There are just a few things that were incredibly disappointing while working with the venue and Jeff. We booked our date in August 2022 for June 2023. When we went to the venue we immediately loved it! It was the absolute perfect setting. Jeff worked out a plan with us because we wanted to do the elopement package because we would have less than 30 guests, but still wanted to include traditional wedding events. We agreed to number of people, tables, dance floor, and we paid for an extra hour to host a reception. We specifically asked if we could arrive early as we would do the decorating ourselves. He showed us the cabin where I could get ready and a small cabin up the hill where my husband could get ready. Jeff agreed to all of this and we paid our deposit. The next months were difficult working with Jeff. He did not reply to emails or texts we sent, to help iron out details. He often went months without responding to questions and I had to resend emails and messages. I understand we were having a smaller event, but we still needed info so that we could plan accordingly. Jeff did not confirm the dance floor or tables until 1 month before our wedding day!!! I had no idea how we would seat our guests or the space we were working with. When he did answer, he often did not know specifics or have arrangements figured out. A venue not answering questions or knowing information is incredibly stressful when trying to plan a wedding. Jeff confirmed there would be a dance floor, but a month out he did not know where it would be coming from or how much it would cost. We had to call and confirm with the rental company ourselves, which we happily would have done if we knew sooner that we needed to, but Jeff said he would take care of the arrangement. 1 week before the wedding Jeff told us he will not be able to pick up our cake and bouquet, which he said he would do many times. This all would have been fine had Jeff brought this up sooner. We had to scramble to make things work less than 1 month before our wedding. When we arrived day of, Jeff was surprised we needed a power source for our DJ (something we confirmed with Jeff months ago). He brought up several times during the wedding day that our guests need to leave by a certain time. He made my husband get ready in the bathrooms, instead of the cabin he originally offered us. Jeff seemed unhappy we needed to arrive early, granted we did not pay to arrive 2 hours early, but we booked 5 hours, which we paid for and wanted to use for our event. If Jeff needed extra money for us to arrive early to decorate, we would have paid that, but that had not been a discussion- we asked about arriving early the same day we put our deposit down. Overall, the venue setting and our wedding was wonderful. We had an amazing day! But Jeff treated us as if our day was not as important, possibly because other couples spent more money on bigger weddings. He offered us a specific package, which we paid more on top of, but treated our day like it was not important.

ll wanted to experience touring wedding venues just for fun. Into the Woods was the first venue we went to go see, and the second we arrived, I knew we needed to get married there. Our wedding was everything we could've imagined and more. Jeff and Tere are some of the most welcoming, warm, and kind people I've ever met. They were accommodating in every way possible, and really went above and beyond for us. Our DJ arrived to the wedding very late and was supposed to provide the sound for the ceremony. As any bride would, I began to panic but Jeff and Tere swung into full gear and began calling every store they could think of to find a PA system we could use for the ceremony. They ended up finding a party rental store that had an available speaker, and we were finally able to start the ceremony. The venue itself is amazing, but having Jeff and Tere there was an added plus. From the ceremony to the reception, everything around us was the most beautiful backdrop. There really wasn't a need for too much decor because the nature surrounding us already stole the show. There were moments when I would try to stop and take in all the beauty around me, and I would look around and I couldn’t help but get emotional because I couldn’t believe the wedding of my dreams had finally come true. My family and friends have all told me that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they’d ever been to and couldn’t believe how much fun they had! I really could go on and on about how amazing everything came out, despite some minor hiccups. I know we had planned on having a small backyard wedding, but I truly cannot imagine getting married anywhere else but here. I am eternally grateful to Jeff and Tere for being the greatest hosts and for helping me have the most magical wedding. If you’re planning a Big Bear wedding, please do yourself a favor and give Jeff and Tere a call, I promise you will not regret it!

great and communicating with them was fast and easy. Over all I’m extremely happy with having our winter wedding with them.

tarted changing up what we had originally negotiated (80 days before our wedding!!!), I began scrambling trying to find a place. Thankfully, Jeff was incredibly quick at responding and super empathetic to our situation. He talked it over with his neighbor Dave and we quickly got it all figured out. Jeff provided a list of vendors including food, DJs, insurance, etc. that was super helpful. Dave thankfully made the dance floor for us and even though we didn't get to use it too much due to the crazy windstorm we had, it was really well done. Now for the people, Jeff was amazingly fast at responding, super kind, and willing to help out in any way he could. Dave stepped in for him due to other circumstances and Dave was amazing too! He was funny, hardworking, and very helpful throughout the whole rehearsal and wedding. He kept an eye on the weather for us and supported all of the people that needed extra help, such as this bride and my grandmother. He also has a very cute and friendly dog that interacted with my guests! Now, I can write about how amazing Jeff and Dave were for the rest of this post, but I have to talk about the showstopper, the venue itself. If you are looking for a woodsy wedding with the nature itself as your decorations, look no further than here! The woods were amazing, the way the venue is sectioned is amazing, and overall the place is just amazing! There is a new cabin for the bride and her party to get ready in with a shower, a toilet, and a fireplace (which was amazing in the October weather!!!) It is brand new and it smells so good! The double hexagon is super cute to work with and easy to get decorated for the occasion. The outdoor lighting sets a romantic mood and it is such a sweet location to get married at. I also loved that parking was super easy and every location was easily accessible. Finally, they allow dogs!!! My two dogs got to celebrate with us and they are some of my favorite photos so far! So, in recap, beautiful woodsy venue, super friendly people, easy access, and DOGS!!!!

There are nice bathrooms onsite, and they have a bridal suite on the property too, which was perfect to get changed in. I can't recommend this venue enough to anyone wanting an outdoor venue in the Big Bear area.

Jeff and his wife Theresa were the absolute most incredible people to work with and made us feel so warm and welcome, we truly can't thank them enough for letting us create this unforgettable moment at their venue!

g venues in Big Bear about three months before our date. We had remembered seeing Into the Woods on Instagram and gave the venue a call, hoping they would be able to accommodate. Jeff went above and beyond in accommodating our wedding and turned something that was not our original vision into something even better than we could have imagined. Our wedding day was perfect because of Into the Woods. Let's start with the actual venue. It sits in a gorgeous parcel of forest with mountain vistas and tall pines that smell simply lovely and offer great shade throughout the day. The layout of the venue allowed for our guest to explore and mingle in different sections and areas, which help to make it feel even more laid back, which is something we wanted with this wedding. And the pictures...simple stunning with the landscape of the venue. We got married in peak summer and while the ceremony was a bit sunny and warm, it was nothing some hand fans could not help to solve. The reception followed directly after and because of the positioning of it with trees in the West, it was fairly shaded the entire afternoon and the perfect temperature. Everyone commented on how beautiful the space was. The natural beauty of the venue makes it where you don't need to spend a fortunate on decor because you are LITERALLY in the forest. The restrooms were incredibly clean and a great touch that our guests appreciated. Now let's talk Jeff...he is truly an exemplar human being. Very thoughtful, informative, and responsive throughout the process. He thoroughly answered any and all questions we had and on the day of, he was super attentive to the needs of us and our guests, including restocking restrooms and ensuring their cleanliness to managing the parking to making small talk with them about the property. He is a true ally for LGBTQ+ people and is sensitive to any needs with that. We felt so incredibly welcomed and safe in his space and company. If we could recommend this venue a million times over, we would, so if you're looking for an inclusive, in the woods wedding venue, look no further than Into the Woods.

g was 5.14.22 and I can honestly say we had the wedding of our dreams. Jeff was super helpful throughout the whole planning process and super quick to answer any questions or concerns we might have had. We didn’t have a coordinator but everything ran perfectly. He accommodated all of our needs and we couldn’t be more thankful to have found the perfect place to host our wedding.

The 3 levels flow really well together and overall the scenery is just amazing! We really loved how romantic the lighting at night feels. e finally had our big day at this wonderful venue in October and it was everything we dreamed it would be. This place is so beautiful and so special and we look forward to seeing other couples have their wedding day here in years to come. Into the Woods will have a special place in our heart forever and it was an easy experience to organize our wedding here with Jeff & family. They are kind, organized, and professional, we loved working with them to plan our day. We spent the day surrounded by trees and open air feeling like we were really immersed in the beauty of the forest, but with all the benefits of a more traditional venue, like access to power, level areas easy for our guests to walk on, lovely clean bathrooms and a parking area big enough for even our large rental truck to come through. We had a big wedding of around 125+ people and we easily fit everyone into our ceremony and reception areas. The ceremony space framed with trees, and our reception area surrounded by twinkle lights is so magical and really captures the beauty of Big Bear. We can not recommend ITW enough, thank you Jeff & Terry!!
