Intricate Icings is absolutely the best of the best! Our wedding cake was beyond beautiful and tasted amazing. All our guests are still raving about it. It was such a pleasure to work with Rachael and she was so flexible and accommodating with our special requests for the design (to incorporate my dress) and for a special flavor that meant a lot to my husband and his family (sticky toffee pudding), which she researched and tested for us beforehand. Rachael exceeded all our expectations for both the cake design and the flavor, and all with amazing service and friendliness every step of the way. At our tasting, we brought along the best man, who is particularly judgmental of desserts because he "just doesn't like sweet things". When we arrived at Intricate Icings and Rachael gave us the tasting cake, we were all taking small, dainty bites and tasting the flavors while Rachael was getting some planning forms together. By the time she returned (2 minutes MAX) our best man had DEVOURED all of the cake, and was jealously eying the rest of our plates. That was the best recommendation we could have gotten! Truly, the cake was phenomenal, moist and delicious. In addition, Rachael and her team are true artists when it comes to design and decoration. She built us a 2 ft tall buffalo (Ralphie - GO BUFFS!) as well as a traditional tiered cake with the most incredible ponderosa bark (made of chocolate!) on the base tier. Her sugar succulents were indistinguishable from the real ones in my bouquet - even my guests thought they were real! The combination of the two cakes was perfect - one classic, traditional and elegant and the other fun and charming. We were delighted with how both cakes came out, and our guests raved about how good it was. Intricate Icings is not the "budget" option by any means, but it was absolutely worth every penny we spent.

I could not be happier with what Intricate Icings did for our wedding! Rachael truly brought our dream to life. They made the most amazing cookies (the exact design we wanted) for our rehearsal, then she made the most gorgeous wedding cake complete with silhouettes of our dogs, and for our after party/reception, she put together an amazing candy bar and grooms cake consisting of a hockey rink with our dogs wearing jerseys and holding hockey sticks! Every one of our guests loved it and took pictures of all the cakes and cookies, plus, everything was delicious. I heard several people say it was the best cake they have ever had. I highly recommend Intricate Icings for anything you need!

If my title of my review doesn't describe it enough we couldn't be more thrilled with Rachael and what she came up with for our wedding!! Our cake meeting was not only so TASTY but so fun and inspiring! Rachael spent a long time getting to know my husband and I and what our overall vision was for the wedding. She doesn't do just plain jane cakes and she loves to make the cake go with your theme and overall feel for your wedding or event which was great! We didn't want a large cake and originally just wanted a smaller cake with a dessert bar and after trying Rachael's cake we knew we had to have all cake for the dessert! The zucchini lime is to die for and the lemon with the fresh raspberry topping was one of our favorites!! I'm drooling just remembering how tasty it was at the consult meeting at and our wedding. Rachael came up with four different smaller versions of cake for us to have instead of a larger cake which worked perfectly with our theme and feel for our wedding. It also went along with my original idea of having a dessert bar and now we had a cake bar...YUM!!! When it comes to weddings everyone always says that the cake never gets eaten...well I can tell you the reason for that is because they never had Intricate Icings Cake Design do their cake! We literally ate it all!! Throughout the entire process of working with Rachael and her team we realized it wasn't just about the cake, it was about the experience of working with them. They blew us away throughout the planning and I'm so thankful we had them as part if our wedding day! Thank you so much Rachael and your amazing team for such a tasty and gorgeous cake display!

Oh my goodness, where do I begin? It was a dream to work with Rachael- I felt like a celebrity! She is endlessly creative and insightful- she knew exactly how to pull together all of the different elements of our Korean-American wedding into one seamless, stunning work of art. I am an artist myself and tend to set the bar impossibly high in my own work, so I was worried about becoming overly critical of my poor cake baker. But Rachael took all of my perfectionist tendencies in stride, and when the day came, I was absolutely thrilled (read: bowled over) by what she and her team had worked so hard to create for us. Her attention to detail and sheer artistry are truly second to none- she is a rare gem and would make even the most hyped and overexposed cake artists sweat (do you hear me, Duff and Cake Boss?!). As such, I feel incredibly lucky to have found her and expect that future brides will need to book her now, not later. Now. Do NOT miss out, my friend!

Intricate Icings made the cake for our wedding. We had a wedding of 70 people. The cake design was elegant, yet simple, exactly what we hoped for! We had two flavors, chocolate cake with coconut filling and vanilla with lemon. Both were a huge hit. Sadly, their wasn't any cake left over for us to take home. Rachel, arrived well ahead of the guests to set up to cake. We couldn't have been more pleased with the way Rachel treated us as customers. She took our ideas and made them into a unique cake that we will always remember!

Intricate Icings is no doubt a very artistic, professional, and just simply an awesome experience for a bride and for a fellow professional. I contracted with Intricate Icings concerning a bridal shower cake for my client. Juicy Couture powder box complete with the puff made out of cotton candy!! From the beginning of the process to the very last crumb we licked off the plate, Rechel listened to what we wanted and more than delivered everything we asked for. It was simply the best overall experience one could hope for. The BEST of the best experiences with Intricate Icings: *BEST Design - Rachel was in tune with our wedding style from the start and developed a number of excellent design suggestions for us to choose from based on our invitations, flowers, and even my dress. She was always open to changes, even in the last few weeks, and incorporated everything we asked for in her expert design -- both wedding and groom's cakes! It was the perfect fit with our wedding theme. *BEST Cake Flavor - Wow! I never imagined there could be such a tasty variety of flavors, frostings and fillings in a wedding cake. Best part, we got to try as many as we wanted at our consultation before deciding on a number of them for our cakes. Normally the cake is just seen as a formality at weddings, but this showcase was the centerpiece of our desert menu. Guests went back for seconds and thirds! The little that was left was enjoyed by family and friends the next day. Every flavor combination she used was absolutely scrumptious. *BEST Professional Experience - Anyone planning a wedding has to work with multiple vendors and you quickly figure out which ones know their business and will be easy to work with. "That is a woman who has found her professional calling and knows how to do it right!" my fiance quipped after our first meeting/tasting with Rachel. This personable and professional woman not only wowed us with her extensive industry knowledge in the cake tasting and design process (thorough understanding of what works and doesn't, regular updates, timely reminders, prompt turn-around times, excellent presentation, etc.) she was indispensable in helping with the wedding planning process as a whole. Rachel's team provided comprehensive lists and suggestions for additional vendors (music, caterers, photographers, venues, etc.), complete with contact info and her experiences working with each of them (good and bad). If she hadn't worked with a vendor I ran past her she would check in with her network and provide feedback or suggest places I could get ratings and reviews for them. It was very clear that Rachel and her entire team at Intricate Icings were quite plugged in to the wedding industry and knew exactly how to help when I needed it. Obviously, I cannot say enough about my experience working with Rachel and Intricate Icings Cake Design and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top quality cake with a top quality --the BEST-- experience!

Rachael created a wonderful three tiers cake in white fondant with black lacing. She took the lacing idea from my dress. Her attitude to please was very apparent during our meeting. She asked sound questions and wanted to make sure she had it right.

My daughter's wedding cake was just what we had hoped for...beautiful to look at and so yummy that our guests practically licked their plates clean!

Rachael is absolutely amazing, as are her cakes. We currently live out of Colorado so she took her precious time to email me back and forth a plethora of times and accommodated us during her busy season to do a cake tasting less than a month before our wedding. The wedding cake exceeded our expectations and our guests continue to discuss the incredible flavors- the Zucchini Lime was my favorite! I was most impressed with the grooms cake I got to surprise my husband. It included rock climbing shoes, a firefighter helmet, and our two dogs. Her company name does not lie. That was the most INTRICATE work I have ever seen. For instance, one of our dogs as a tiny fold on one ear- Rachael even nailed this tiny detail! She truly warmed our hearts in making us feel our puppies, aka our furry children, were a part of the wedding even though they were miles away. I will turn to Intricate Icings for all future cakes and have already highly recommended her to all my engaged friends.

My caterer for the wedding referred us to Rachael with Intricate Icing and I couldn't be happier they did! I was completely blown away with how talented her work is, as well as how incredibly delicious her cakes taste!! Rachael created a cake with a molding from the lace off my dress and it turned out perfect! I have never seen a more beautiful wedding cake in my entirely life! Rachael was great to work with and very professional. She took her time to design the cake exactly like we envisioned. (And it looked fabulous on our wedding day!) And while design & presentation of a wedding cake is important even more so is the taste which everyone was ranting and raving about days after the wedding! Rachel worked with us to completely switch the design of the cake witin a month of the wedding and it turned out beautifully! We got red velvet with cream cheese filling and vanilla bean with blackberry filling and both were absolutely delicous!!

We had a 3 layer cake and a groom's cake from Intricate Icings. Every layer was delicious. My guests said it was the best cake they ever had. The only downside was the location in Erie, but it was still worth it!

I've never been to a wedding where guests were searching for cake seconds. The cake was so moist and the flavor options were delicious. Only complaint is the we didn't have time to eat much as the bride and groom!

Working with Rachael and Intricate Icings was a wonderful experience. At our initial consultation Rachael worked with us to create a cake which was complete unique and perfect for our wedding. Intricate Icings did our cake up right! We went in not really knowing what we wanted our cake to look like, but when we left we knew it would be amazing- and it was! We discussed toppers vs none and when our guest count was way different than we had planned for it wasn't an issue for them at all. I almost didn't want to cut into it. Then we did and it was DELICIOUS!!! I have high cake standards, and Intricate Icings surpassed them.

Rachel at Intricate Icings did a fantastic job for us. We had a three tier cake, cake pops, and cupcakes all of which were amazing. She really listened to what we wanted and did a great job of translating that into a design that we loved. She also made sure all three elements were coordinated and that they looked good together. Not only did everything look great, but it tasted great too - even her fondant was amazing - which is rare!

Rachael and her staff at Intricate Icings were incredible! For our wedding we had a traditional bride's cake and a football helmet for our groom's cake. The bride's cake was beautiful and very classic looking and the helmet was outstanding and so true-to-life. The details were so spot-on, it looked just like a real helmet! The cakes were both delicious!! We had several different flavors and fillings combination, but our favorite was the zucchini-lime. It was amazing and a big hit at the wedding! We even had leftover cake that we had at a breakfast the next day, which was still delicious and very moist, even though it was the next day. Rachael and her team were great to work with, from the tasting, to communicating during the planning process. She always returned emails very quickly and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend Intricate Icings!!

I loved how our cake turned out!! Rachel and her team were wonderful in helping us throughout the planning process!! They kept in communication with us through out the entire time and collaborated with us on our design. We wanted simple elegance with our cake and that is exactly what we received. Aside from the gorgeous exterior, the cake itself was very delicious and moist! We really appreciated them packing up a slice of each delicious flavor along with some extra goodies and putting them in our honeymoon suite because sure enough we didn't get to eat a piece that night. Rachel and her team at Intricate Icings were absolutely hands down brilliant! Going into the consultation my husband and I weren't quite sure what we wanted, simple and elegant but still very playful and geeky. I had put together an inspiration board that I sent over to Rachel a couple of days before our consultation and she picked up on a small detail that we had added to our wedding, this detail became the main focus of our cake and it couldn't have turned out more beautiful! Rachel made sure that our geeky side was well represented in our cake, but also managed to keep it very elegant. And it tasted absolutely amazing! Next to my dress our cake was my favorite thing about our wedding! I have tasted the cakes from Intricate Icings mulitple times and their work is AMAZING...and Yummy! Every cake I've seen has been so different, she definately doesn't have a one-style cake which so many bakerys do. They are definitely worth the money and you will NOT be disappointed! Intricate icings just made a cake for our vow renewal this past Saturday, and I have to say they lived up to, even exceeded, our high expectations. My husband and I watch a TON of food network, so we really felt like we might be too picky for our own good when it came to choose a wedding cake designer. Now we feel so fortunate to have found Rachael at Intricate Icings. Not only was she the friendliest vendor that we met throughout the wedding planning process, but we were blown away by the cake she showed up with on the day of our event. I did notice that she chose to use butter cream to make the pattern on our cake rather than the fondant we had asked for, but it turned out so stunning that I can't complain at all. I'm sure she had a reason for making the switch; Rachael knows exactly what she's doing when it comes to wedding cakes. We just couldn't have been more happy with our experience; both the customer service and the final product were incredible. I won't be getting photos of the event back until the end of November, but when I do I will be sure to add a photo of our STUNNING cake to this review. I will be recommending Intricate Icings to everybody I know, and I would jump at the chance to work with them again for future special occasions!

Rachel at Intricate Icings was simply amazing. She was so great to work with and we couldn't have asked for anyone better! Our request was a little on the unusual side. We wanted to find out the sex of our baby from our cake and the idea was for the results to go to Rachel and for her to make the 2nd layer of the cake either pink or blue depending on the gender. It worked out PERFECTLY!!! The cake was absolutely gorgeous. Exceeded greatly what we had envisioned. It was so elegant and beautiful and because she worked closely with our florist it tied perfectly with the rest of our wedding. Seriously took our breaths away. And the moment when we cut it was one of the best times of our lives. All of our family and friends got to find out with us that we are having a BABY GIRL!! It was perfectly PINK and so delicious! Our guests were astounded by the idea and the taste and still talk about it and will for years to come. Rachel made that moment possible and we will be forever grateful to her and her staff for doing such a tremendous job (and not spilling the beans!). The service she provided and the flexibility make her stand out from the crowd and when we eventually move to CO from NYC, we'll definitely use her services for other occasions!

Working with Rachel to make our wedding cake was an easy and relaxing experience. Most weddings can be chaos but she was so wonderful to work with. We met with her to design our wedding cake and all my sister in law kept saying was bigger, bigger. They designed us a 6 tier wedding cake, black and white and totally tied into the theme of our wedding. They called us a month before the wedding to finalize all details. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how good the cake was and how beautiful. The cake was moist and delicious. I am now planning on getting another one for the holidays not a 6 tier but a small cake :) Great experience working with Intricate Icings!! I hope one day they can do our baby shower cake too!!

Rachel is amazing!! she is fun, professional, and makes delicious cakes!! We ordered a cake with multiple flavors, and with 130 servings...we only had about 105 guests, and there was not a single piece of cake left! It was beautiful, and tasted as good as it looked!

The only reason I give this four stars is because it is on the expensive side for a wedding cake. My only real regret is that my husband and I should have been a little bolder in our decorative choices and let Intricate Icings really do their thing - Rachael is an amazing artist and really took the time to walk through ideas with us - I highly recommend this vendor if you don't mind spending a little bit extra. The chocolate cake is delicious!

Intricate Icings did an amazing job for my wedding! Rachael was so sweet and worked with me to design a cake that was truly a portrayal of what I dreamed of :) It turned out better than I ever could of imagined! I will say that they are pricey in my opinion but they are worth every penny as far as being true beauty in the cake. It was so tasty as well - moist and great flavor! I absolutely loved working with Rachael and Intricate Icings. My cake turned out amazing - it was designed to mimic my dress and it a fabulous giant sugar flower. I loved it and all of guests commented on how beautiful it was as well. I also got a groom's cake from Intricate Icings. My husband was so surprised and he absolutely loved it. This is THE place to go if you want a fantastic wedding cake in Colorado.

It was wonderful working with Intricate Icing!!! We wanted our cake to be a main focus of our wedding. My husband and I looked at a lot of different options online and went for several consultations at different locations but felt the most comfortable working with Intricate Icing. As soon as we walked into the door we were greeted and started talking about design. Rachel created a custom design for our cake off our theme and invitation; she took the time to create a several different drawings of different options so that we were able to picture it and get exactly what we wanted. She created a hummingbird cake topper out of fondant off our invitations and pulled in our theme by putting a wonderful butter cream 3D forest picture on the outside with fondant aspen leaves flowing down the sides. On top of the wonderful decoration, the cake tasted amazing. We were able to sample multiple different options in a large enough serving that we could taste the flavors and were able to taste different cakes with different fillings. We decided to go with a zucchini lime cake with lemon filling for two layers and a layer of tiramisu cake. All of our guests loved the cake and the white chocolate fondant icing on the outside!! At the last minute we needed to add a sheet cake for more guests and it was not a problem. I would recommend using Intricate Icing to anyone for any event… they are friendly, professional, and most of all creative … you won’t be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!

Her designs were amazing. We had her zucchini lime cake with cream cheese, chocolate fudge with raspberry mousse, and lemon poppy seed with butter cream. All the flavors where amazing!!!!

If I could give more than 5 points, I would!! Intricate Icings was incredible. Rachael is so unbelievably talented and so wonderful to work with. At first, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted the cake to look like, so she asked some questions, got to know me and then made the most beautiful cake of my dreams!! Sho was so wonderful at making suggestions as well as making changes that I wanted. The look of the cake was breathtaking and the taste matched the beauty of the outside. Everyone loved it!

We hired Rachel to make the cake for our wedding, and we were not disappointed. She made three things for us: a small tiered cake with a personalized rice krispie topper, some amazing cupcakes, and a whoel bunch of cake pops. In keeping with our wedding theme, the cake topper was a giant fondant covered baseball with mine and my husband's team logos on it. The cupcakes were adorned with small plastic baseball helmets, and the cake pops were all frosted and decorated like little mini baseballs on a stick. The final display looked so fantastic, my husband and I actually snuck away from dinner to see it before any of the cake was served. Rachel took all of my input and made it into our perfect cake. And it was delicious. We had three different kinds of cake, and two different fillings. The price was slightly more than at other places we looked, but the final product was more than worth it. Rachel is super professional and so nice. She does excellent work, and I would recommend her to anyone, even if you think you don't like fondant. Her fondant is so light, it's not overpowering or too sugary. It's delightful. My husband and I were convinced we were going to be buttercream, until we tried Rachel's fondant. All in all an amazing experience.

Rachael was so helpful from start to finish! The cake turned out lovely and tasted great--we received many compliments from our guests. The only reason I'm not awarding Intricate Icings five stars is because my husband and I eat gluten free, and she was not able to guarantee a gluten free cake for us. She did have some options, but we ended up having to go with a dedicated gluten free bakery for a smaller gluten free cake and a health and safety precaution. The last thing you want is to have an upset stomach on your wedding day! But other than that, Intricate Icings was helpful and professional.

The folks here are super easy and friendly to work with. We had tried their Zucchini Lime cake at a bridal show and were totally blown away. The hardest part was choosing flavors! We ended up going with the zucchini lime with cream cheese filling and the lemon cake with pineapple curd filling. For the day of, the cake was beautiful, moist and delicious. We loved the mountain themed icing and got plenty of compliments on how yummy it was. Bonus: no need to save the top layer – they bake you a small cake on your 1 year anniversary

Rachael is absolutely amazing to work with!! Everything was great from the consultation to cutting into the cake at the wedding! She is so creative, we gave her a basic idea and she ran with it and just made such a beautiful creation. Besides the cake looking fantastic, the taste is incredible!!! We will be ordering any cakes we need from Intricate Icings and if you have any cake needs you would be foolish to order from anyone else. You will not be disappointed!!!

The cakes (and pies) from Intricate Icings are to die for; so delicious! Rachael from Intricate Icings is a very talented and creative baker. She spends a lot of time explaining the many varied flavors and options for cakes. She is also very responsive. We loved our wedding cakes. They were beautiful and reflected exactly what we had asked for. We can't wait to get our 1 year anniversary slice!

From the very first time that we met Rachel we fell in love with her attitude for cake and for us, the bride and groom. Cake is huge for my husband. He loves everything about cake and so we wanted someone to represent that. Rachel exceeded our expectations! She custom made a cake that we had found which looked PHENOMENAL! She worked with us on pricing and made sure that our cake was just what we wanted. We were so thankful that we chose her over many other competitors! Intricate Icings is AMAZING!! I had them make my cake for my wedding. I had so many comments about how good the cake was, people who dont eat cake said they had 2-4 pieces it was so good. They did a great job, I couldnt be happier! Very kind and friendly service, attention to detail and most of all 100% satisfaction garunteed!

Since we had our reception at a local restaurant, we had them to the actual wedding cake (super simple white cake). However, I knew I wanted to do something special for my husband and since he's in the Air Force, I thought a themed groom's cake would be perfect. I contacted Intricate Icings via email and immediately got a response. All I knew was that I wanted the Air Force Emblem - they sent me back images and ideas and asked additional questions to figure out just what I was after. We only discussed the final design, but I felt confident after seeing all of the other cakes they've made, that they would produce exactly the cake I wanted. My husband and I did the cake tasting together (same process they would do for a typical wedding cake) and the biggest challenge was deciding which of the combinations we wanted since everything tasted soooooo good. We ended up choosing chocolate cake with chocolate mousse since our other cake was white. On the day of the wedding Intricate Icings delivered the cake to our reception site - no drama or issues. They were on time and when I saw the cake, I was thrilled. It was exactly what I would have done had I the ability (which I don't since this was the A.F. emblem, three dimensional, huge, with fondant that looked absolutely perfect and smooth, air brushed to look metallic, with blue/metallic accents). It was AWESOME!!! If you have an idea for a cake - no matter how intricate or bizarre, get in touch with these guys. Tasty and absolutely amazing to look at. Can't believe they are based out of a little town in Colorado with this caliber of work!

They made the most personal and amazing grooms cake. So intricate and perfect and tasted great too. I would highly recommend!

Rachael was amazing! We didn't know what we wanted on the cake besides our college mascots but couldn't find any wedding toppers that were elegant enough for a wedding. Rachael hand made the toppers and was able to design a cake that was fun while still being graceful and beautiful. It was exactly what we had in mind. And to top it off, it was delicious!!! She is HIGHLY recommended!!!

We had a great experience working with Rachael at Intricate Icings. We went in not really knowing what we wanted and she really helped guide us towards a cake design that was very "us". She's very creative and takes all of your ideas into play when designing the cake. I think our cake turned out looking very modern, cute and it was definitely yummy!! Rachel was an absolute pleasure to work with from the initial consultation through the end result! We were lucky enough to first meet her at a bridal show and were instantly won over by her zucchini lime cake. We ordered a cupcake tower and a cake for cutting and wanted to incorporate a very special quote to us into the design of the cake. This was not a problem and the end result was absolutely beautiful- not to mention DELICIOUS! I am fairly certian they can take any idea you have and turn it into edible art :) Rachel and her staff were always very quick to respond to calls & e-mails and so friendly. The day of the wedding they arrived on time and set everything up without a hitch. We couldn't be happier with our decision to work with them for our wedding!

We got a cupcake tower with a 6inch cutting cake on top. Best red velvet I've ever had and it's my husband's favorite flavor! Rachael is so sweet and everything looked amazing! We got some extra and they are still just as delicious as the wedding day. She and her staff are very professional and prompt with responding to emails and calls. They were very pleasant to work with and I am constantly impressed by their cake designs.

We will never get a special occasion cake from anyone else. We were sold from the time we had the consultation. The artistic talent that went in to our wedding cake was amazing. The look and taste of the cake was beyond our expectations and we truely recommend Intricate Icings to anyone who wants an amazing looking and tasting cake, whatever the occasion may be.

Rachael is a genius. I have no idea how she can get her cakes to look so amazing AND have them be the best tasting cakes I've ever eatten. We had a 5 tiered topsy turvy cake. EVERYONE talked about our cake, and on facebook- those were some of the first pictures to surface immediately following the wedding. The cake tastes amazing amazing amazing and is worth every penny. We had 150 people show up to our wedding. For a while, we thought it would have been closer to 200, so we had planned on the 5 tiered cake that feeds 208 people. My husband and I were expecting significant left-overs that we could greedily gorge ourselves on before leaving for the honeymoon, but there was NOTHING LEFT OVER. People kept going back for multiple pieces of the different amazing amazing flavors. The taste and quality of this cake is insurpassible, compared to the other cake vendors I met with. The service Rachael provided at our meeting was fantastic, and the last minute decorations she put on the cake with flowers felt like seeing a glimpse of cake boss. Amazing, amazing, amazing. We LOVE Intricate Icings.

Rachael really wanted to know what I wanted in our cake and what look I was going for. Gave various options that were able to work within my budget! Great communication from business side with contract and payment. Totally worth the drive to Erie. You won’t be disappointed.

I am very please with my whole experience with Intricate Icings. The cake was exactly what I wanted. It was beautiful and tasty. They had some very unique flavors that I enjoyed exposing or guests to for the first time!

There are not enough nice words to use to describe our experience with Intricate Icings. They were prompt in responding to our concerns and questions and always treated us with respect. Let me just say that the cake tasted incredible, they even made a special pumpkin spice cake and filling to go with our fall themed wedding. My bride loved the simple decoration of the sugar leaves and the design of the cake itself. It was delivered on time and looked fantastic. I can honestly say that I have not tasted a better cake at any wedding that I have been to. Do yourself a favor and book with the best. It might not be the cheapest place, but you get what you pay for. And what we paid for was excellent.

Rachel at Intricate Icings is a true cake artist! We were impressed from the consultation all the way to the finished product. First, we did not do a typical wedding cake as our wedding was on Halloween, and therefore did not have a typical cake topper either. We were asking a lot of Rachel to make a cool cake without being cheesy and she went above and beyond our expectations. Our cake topper was a bride and groom skeleton couple sitting and kissing on top of a tombstone that read"Love Never Dies." Going in to the consultation we knew we wanted a themed wedding cake, but weren't sure how to accomplish that. As soon as we showed Rachel the topper, she just started drawing and came up with a theme of a graveyard scene. The day of the wedding, the cake was the main thing I wanted to see before the guests showed up, and all I can say is "WOW!" All of our guests loved the cake design. It was beautiful, classy, playful and gothic. There was absolutely no cheese factor present. And the taste! We chose red velvet with chocolate mousse and vanilla bean with raspberry preserves. The cake was flavorful and moist, and I know a few guests went back for seconds. I recommend Intricate Icings to everyone for their wedding and event cakes. Professional, creative, friendly...You will not be disappointed.

They did our cakes for our wedding this September. We asked for a StarShip Enterprise and they had never done one before but it came out Perfect! Both cakes were just what we wanted! Thanks for helping make our day so special

Rachel is truly an artist. She's won tons of awards for her cakes and when you step into her little shop, you'll immediately know why. She has books to look through and can custom design pretty much anything. She had us sample a half dozen flavors and it was sooooo hard to choose. They were all amazing. I love the part that she is going to send us a small cake for our 1 yr anniversary, instead of us freezing the top layer (yuck!). Our cake turned out beautifully and I ate 3 pieces that night and 2 on the honeymoon!! Worth every penny.

Rachael and her staff made our wedding and groom's cake. Rachael was a pleasure to work with; she made sure my stepdaughter was included inthe prcoess, which was very important to us. I can not say enough good things about Intricate Icings, Rachael is fabulous! We asked for bulldogs for our cakes and they came out AMAZING! The guests at the wedding could not get over how much they looked like our bullies. They were over 2 feet tall and she captured their coloring, expressions, absolutely everything! I can not recommend Intricate Icings and Rachael enough, she was a delight to work with and the cakes tasted phenomenal.

We loved our wedding cake! Not only was it delicious it looked amazing. I was a little skeptical with how the colors were going to look, our colors were wine and royal blue. Rachael designed the cake perfectly. The colors looked amazing. There were many compliments coming from our guests regarding the cake. I kept hearing how beautiful it was. I was very pleased!!!

She made both an incredible three tiered wedding cake and a 3D grooms cake. It was not air conditioned, so the 3D figure fell apart a little. But otherwise got lots of compliments and heard it was tasty!

Rachel was amazing! My fiance and I brought in Chiyogami paper that we used for our wedding invitations and programs and Rachel matched the design beautifully. During the cake tasting, she had one slice of cake made of several flavors of cake and icing so we could sample all the varieties that she makes. We chose a red velvet and cream cheese icing and a vanilla bean and Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse icing. Absolutely delicious!
