I don’t even know where to start this review. My husband and I were married June 2021 (this review is long overdue)...
. We literally can’t stop watching our cinematic highlight video! I’m going to try to put it into words…Think of the highest expectations you’d have for what you would hope your video would turn out to be. Now blow those expectations completely out of the water beyond anything you thought was even possible – that’s Intrigue Wedding Films! Booking Intrigue was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our special day. Nathaniel & Team were AMAZING to work with.
When we were searching for videographers to capture our wedding, it was very important to us that our video would be authentically us. We wanted it to tell our story and be able to relive the day through watching it – emotions and all. While there are so many great videographers that we found during our search, we noticed a lot were very “cookie cutter” and had a similar flow to the final footage (which can make for a very lovely video), but we wanted more…way more.
Upon our first consult with Nathaniel, he explained to us how no 2 videos Intrigue creates are ever the same, because each is unique to the couple captured in it. When we heard this, it was a no brainer – we could not book fast enough!
Throughout the process, Nathaniel has been incredible. In all our meetings leading up to the big day, it felt like talking to a friend we had known forever. He sent us an extensive questionnaire to fill out, so that he and his team could study it and know exactly what was important to us from music preferences to cinematic styling to everything in between. He and his team left no stone unturned.
Going into the day, we felt so at ease with our choice and put our faith completely in the team to capture the most important day of our lives. When the day arrived, our cinematography team (2) were on the ball the whole time. They were with us from start to finish. Somehow, they captured everything yet remained unobtrusively “flies on the wall.” It is crazy how that is even possible! They worked amazing with our photography team, and even remembered at the end of the night (when we had forgotten) that it was important for us to capture some footage outside the venue under the “full moon” because that was something we said was special to us. If it were not for them, we may have forgotten to do this with all the hustle and bustle of the day.
It's hard to try and explain how magical our video turned out, because there are not even words to explain it. The music is splendid and it pairs perfectly with the footage. The editing in time with the music is absolute perfection – think impeccably timed beat drops, lyrics & slow-mo shots to emphasize special moments. It is truly perfect!
If you are lucky enough that Intrigue Wedding Films is not already booked for your wedding date, run, don’t walk! Book them immediately. They are the best in the business.

He was excited and positive which helped to calm our nerves. Their theory is you should never experience a moment through a lens as you miss out on what’s really happening and that’s where they come in, that’s their job to capture those moments for you. They always seemed to be at the right place at the right time but were never intrusive and both Nathaniel and Thomas absolutely crushed it in terms of creativity, enthusiasm and just making sure every single thing was handled (often without us even realizing or having to ask) - with so much going on, to have my wife text me that morning from the venue that Nathaniel had arrived early and already captured some amazing drone shots was awesome. TWO assistants who also each had a camera. We weren't supposed to have our boat ride (post ceremony but pre-cocktail hour) filmed, but our filmmaker insisted on sending one of his assistants on the boat with us to capture that footage too. They were kind, polite, and went out of their way to capture all they could of our big day.
The four stars are because the trailer took a full 8 months to come back, and there never was a clear explanation as to why it took so long when I contacted them. However, the hour-long feature film was ready within a few weeks after the trailer. I would have liked to have at least the trailer sooner- closer to the 4-month range. However, I understand it was their busy season.

There were some moments that weren't included in the first version of the video that I was really hoping that were captured (for example - our flower girls whispering "shh" to each other during the ceremony) and almost all of them were filmed and are being included in the final edit, which is really special to us. The day of Dan and Chase were a great team, they paid attention to our entire questionnaire, and half the time you didn't even realize they were with us (which was exactly our preference). They were very professional and helpful. We absolutely love our trailer and our full length, the quality is amazing! My one comment looking back would be that I would check in when you book on timing for your trailer and full length, and possibly consider a same-day edit. It took 3 months to get back our trailer and 6 months for our full length. Looking back, I probably would have done a same day edit (wasn't offered at the time I bought our package). Aside from the timing being a bit slow, we absolutely loved Intrigue, and will be sure to recommend them to anyone who asks! Thank you!

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive because I did not have an in person meeting with my actual videographer, rather I met him the morning of the wedding, but he was absolutely AMAZING! From the second I met Danny I knew that we were in good hands. He was super helpful the whole entire day and I really cannot thank him enough. Danny was familiar with our venue so he was able to tell us exactly where to go for the best pictures and coordinated with the staff to make sure we had access to those areas; he kept me calm when there was a little situation with our photographer; he checked the weather frequently and let us know when there would be windows of no rain so we could take more pictures outside; he came up to me about 30 minutes before he was scheduled to leave and asked if we still planned on doing the bouquet and garter toss because he knew that was something I wanted videoed... seriously we could not have asked for anything more from our videographer!! I felt like he was one of my friends that just happened to be videoing my wedding haha.. I really cannot wait to see the trailer and full length video!!

the videography for our wedding, so our options were limited to begin with. The packages that Intrigue offered were very reasonably priced and the quality of their videos are spectacular. The entire team is hands on and they are very responsive to emails (you can almost expect to receive a response within a few hours of emailing them). From the beginning, Nathaniel was very informative and made sure we had all the information needed so that we can make a decision on the package that suits our need the most. Because we couldn’t make a trip to their studio in Long Island, Nathaniel scheduled a Facetime conversation with us in order to accommodate our schedule. It definitely stood out that he took the time out of his schedule in order to help us with our decision. The entire process leading up to our wedding day was very seamless and easy. Everything is automated and any questionnaires we had to complete was done online through their website. When it came time for our wedding day, their entire team already had the details on what their video shoot should focus on. Aside from meeting Nathaniel and his team on the morning of our wedding, I can tell you that we completely forgot they were there the rest of the day! itive. They were very organized, professional and responsive. About a week or two before my wedding, I added some time and changed some things- they were very flexible and easy to work with. Day of- our two camera men could not have been nicer, more professional, everywhere/anywhere and good at managing people (crazy mothers, family members, wedding guests)... but never felt too present. Even after the wedding I had the attitude of 'we will see if this was worth it'.
We got our video... and I will admit I was wrong. It was DEFINITELY worth it. The video is truly beautifully done- it captures the day, our relationship, our personalities and does it all so stylistically beautiful.
I know we paid a fraction of what many of my friends paid for their videographer... and I'd say ours turned out better than a lot of theirs.
I wasn't too emotional about much with our wedding (mostly just first look, vows)... but when I saw our trailer video, I'll admit it- I got very teary eyed and so did my husband.
We truly could not have been happier/more impressed with our entire interaction with Intrigue. They were truly amazing, and worth every (very competitively priced) cent. I am SO happy my husband wanted a videographer and that I found Intrigue. I would recommend them to anyone.

s. It isn't an extra! Our trailer was just the most beautiful 4 minutes of the day and was done so well. You can tell the work that went into it. I have friends asking me about my vendor so they can use them also. The actual video is a nice thing to have to relive the day a little bit, I even enjoy the raw footage that we got! Working with Dan- day of and Nathaniel throughout the process was really easy. Dan was so nice day of- I find it really important that you have vendors that you click with to make the day as seamless as possible. Nathaniel always answered my emails in a timely manner and answered my questions fast and completely.
