Iowa Aboretum

The Iowa Arboretum was such a beautiful spot to get married! It was the first venue I found that I was interested in looking at, and I knew it was the one less than five minutes into our first tour. The venue coordinator was kind and easy to work with. Our ceremony was outdoors, and our reception was indoors, and it ended up being the perfect arrangement for us. One of the huge benefits of picking this venue was that they were very willing to work with us on our choice of caterer. We wanted to bring in a food truck, and they not only accepted the idea but were super encouraging of it! Another huge benefit of this venue was the price. We looked at a few other venues that were two or three times the cost, and none of them had the natural beauty and allure of The Arboretum. Additionally, we were able to put our hotel block in Boone, which was less than a fifteen-minute drive away. I'd also highly recommend this venue for couples that are overwhelmed by the idea of setting up their venue/space. The venue coordinator took care of setting up all the chairs and tables according to my instructions in both the ceremony and reception spaces. It saved us loads of time, and we weren't charged extra for it. The absolute biggest plus of this location, for us anyway, was the beautiful scenery. From the trees and flowers to the gazebos and little pond, everything was begging to be photographed. We got so much variety in our wedding photos because every spot was photograph-worthy. I couldn't have imagined up a more perfect venue. It was one of the first decisions we made, and we never regretted it for a second.
