At Iris and Ivy, our approach to wedding photography is just that. Effortless. No awkward poses or stressed situations here! We also know that being in front of a camera doesn't come naturally for everyone. We have a way of guiding you and your partner so that everything seems...well...effortless! Your wedding photographer is who you spend the most time with on your big day, besides your partner, of course, so you need to feel at ease and like you are in the presence of a friend. Our goal is to keep you on track, keep you smiling, and keep you in the moment so you can enjoy your day as it unfolds.
Ashley Ecklund is the woman behind the lens, and she is the right person for the job. Her 14 years of experience shooting events have made her a great collaborator. Need a little guidance? Already have a clear vision for your day? She will capture it all through an artistic lens, all while letting the day unfold naturally.
Iris and Ivy services the Tri-State area, Catskills, Pennsylvania, and all the way out west in Colorado (where Ashley is originally from!)

I am a photographer, dog mom, sometimes baker, and a mountain gal based in Brooklyn. To put it simply, I am in love with stories. I genuinely love getting to know my couples. I feel that when you have a relationship with your subjects their personality shines through. In any space, I'm always trying to find the light.
I have over 15 years of experience in photography and have gone through many phases in my career. From started out shooting for a children's portrait studio in Denver, to shooting fashion for fashion week and bloggers in NYC. Weddings have always been a sweet spot for me as I genuinely love love. Weddings are the perfect mix of portraits, fashion, interiors, and candid moments that I have spent my career shooting. I can't wait to bring all of this experience to your special day.
When I’m not shooting, I can be found at a one of NYC's parks, traveling to new places, or catching a yoga class. I love being outside, and I have a border-line unhealthy obsession with animals. If you have a cat or a dog, we’ll instantly be best friends, and I’ll happily show you pictures of my adopted pup Juno! (Thanks @badassanimalrescue)
