I want to start by saying that the venue itself is gorgeous. The spaces are beautifully maintained, setting is romantic and elegant, and it provided the perfect backdrop for our we...
dding day.
Unfortunately, our experience with the venue coordinator, Tiffany, was deeply disappointing. From the start, her demeanor was unwelcoming and cold. She gave the impression that she was uninterested in speaking with us and with her job in general. For someone working in an industry that thrives on hospitality and creating joyful experiences, her attitude was surprisingly unwelcoming and did not reflect the warmth and positivity one would expect.
There were many occasions where I left conversations feeling uncomfortable, second-guessed, or even bad about decisions I was making.
On the day of the wedding, Tiffany’s professionalism was sorely lacking. One upsetting moment was when she entered the bridal suite while we were all getting ready and announced, “We have a big problem.” First, announcing that so publicly was completely inappropriate and unnecessary. I had a fantastic day-of coordinator who was fully prepared and capable of managing any real concerns — I trusted her completely and did not appreciate hearing about supposed problems in that manner.
After the wedding, we asked if we could store leftover food in the venue’s refrigerator since our hotel with limited refrigeration. While I understand venues have limited storage/ may not have been in our original plans, Tiffany handled the request harshly and made me and several of my friends and family feel like we were a huge inconvenience.
Also, I realized the baker hadn’t left boxes for extra dessert. When I politely asked for containers, none were offered until I mentioned sending food home with the staff. Later, when I sent my sister and friend to get more boxes, Tiffany said no. Thankfully, the kitchen staff was kind and provided them, which we appreciated immensely.
One of the worst moments came when I returned to the reception area to do a final check. I asked if there was anything else, Tiffany pointed to a large plastic tote full of heavy glass cake stands. She watched as I struggled to carry it across the room to the elevator — still in my wedding attire. Not once did she offer to help or even grab the elevator, which was so disrespectful.
The next day, when we returned at the agreed time to collect our belongings, Tiffany came to unlock the door but didn’t greet us or the woman & young daughters who were there to prepare for a baby shower. I had to direct them to their event space myself. The lack of basic hospitality was disappointing.
Despite these issues with Tiffany, I want to highlight how wonderful the venue itself is and how incredible the rest of the staff was. The kitchen staff was kind and supportive, stepping in to help when needed. The venue’s beauty and other staff’s efforts truly made our day more enjoyable.
In conclusion, while I wholeheartedly recommend this venue for its stunning location and fantastic team (aside from coordinator), I caution future couples. Tiffany’s unprofessional behavior unfortunately cast a shadow over what should have been a joyful, stress-free experience.
Please understand that this review is not written out of malice, but rather in the hope of encouraging greater professionalism on the part of your venue coordinator. I truly wish the Iron Front many more years of creating beautiful and memorable events.
