Ironwood

Kentucky since we lived in Maryland and I am from Louisville. Ironwood being in BG was a little outside of the travel radius we were wanting to stay in but we accidentally stumbled across Ironwood on The Knot and had to see the place. Once we saw it and met Jen, the search was over for us. Jen is so accommodating! She went out of her way to make sure we could have a tour on Thanksgiving week since it was the only time we could get into town. Her personality, positive attitude and true desire to make sure this venue provides everything you need is so incredibly rare, pure and made our experience beyond incredible. Not to mention this property alone. Wow - if you think the pictures are impressive, wait till you see it in person. The barn, farmhouse and property are breathtaking. We utilized it all! Stayed in the farmhouse all weekend, had our rehearsal dinner out back, wedding ceremony in the tree grove, reception in the barn and dance floor out back. Our friends and guests could not stop raving about how beautiful the venue and property was all weekend and even now, two months after our wedding. We also had COVID come into the picture as we booked in Nov. 2019 and our wedding was Sept. 2020. Through the COVID uncertainty Jen was amazing. Stayed in touch, understanding about our circumstances (guests from 26 states and several high-risk immediate family members) and even consoled me as I sobbed on the phone with her about it all. In the end we chose to still have our wedding with 80+ people in attendance, in the safest way possible. I truly believe if we had had our wedding at any other venue we looked at, we would have had to postpone. But Ironwood was the perfect place to accommodate for COVID safely. We sat all guest by household, 6’ apart which meant double the amount of tables and we could do that there! Also kept all the big 4 doors and some of the stall doors open for air flow. Had the radiant heaters going overhead for warmth since it got chilly and moved our dance floor outside under the stars and strung lights and it worked out perfectly. Honestly better than I imaged prior to COVID. So if you’re thinking about this venue for your wedding - BOOK IT NOW! And if you do, Jen’s recommended vendor list is perfect - it was so helpful to us planning our wedding from afar and the vendors we were able to book from her list were a dream. We are so thankful to Jen and Ironwood for letting us have our big day and weekend there. It was the most perfect weekend I could have ever dreamt up and so much more. I mean just the whole thing was PERFECT!! I couldn't imagine having our wedding weekend anywhere else.

erfect and big enough for a band and plenty of dancing room. The horse stalls add a unique touch. The barn is authentic but has modern accomodations, like radiant heat and indoor restrooms with multiple stalls. I cannot think of any other place I would’ve liked to have my wedding. Most of our wedding guests came from out of town; they were blown away by the venue, too. On top of the outward beauty of Ironwood, it is an absolute pleasure to work with the staff there. Jen Brashear is passionate about the venue and will go above and beyond to answer questions and make sure the day is perfect. She and the owners truly care about making your special day the best day ever. Thank you, Ironwood! We will forever remember our special day with love and joy.

ur Dreams on acres of beautiful farmland, you get 250 beautiful Fruitwood Chairs, 20 (60") Round Tables, 6 Bistro Tables and Portable Restrooms!!! I don't know of any Venue locally that offers so much!!! You also have a air conditioned dressing room for the Bride and her Bridesmaids or Groom and Groomsmen to get ready in onsite as well as an Air conditioned Kitchen for a Prep Area for the Caterer. I have had two Weddings at Ironwood within the last month. One for 600 plus Guests and one for 80 Guests!!! Ironwwod accomodated both Weddings efficiently and beautifully!!! Whenever I needed something the Owner was there immediately to make sure my concerns were taken care of!!! Ironwood is simply theBEST
