Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing is a wedding venue located in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Originally a specialty iron foundry, the Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing has been re-invented into a sleek and industrial riverfront destination and wedding venue. Located on Philadelphia's Main Line, Lark and The Pumphouse sit beside the Schuylkill River and is only a short drive from Philadelphia's city center. Veiled with iron trusses dating back to 1852, the Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing has retained a sense of its industrial origins while boasting modern and chic interiors. On the top floor of Lark Restaurant, both the Wine Library and Dining Room are perfect for an evening featuring elevated cuisine in an elegant setting. The Pump House, our latest riverside event venue, showcases four unique indoor and outdoor spaces featuring the original 1852 industrial structures juxtaposed with breathtaking views of the river and skyline. The Ironworks culinary team is led by one of Philadelphia's most notable chefs, Nicholas Elmi. Chef Elmi has been twice nominated as Best Chef Mid-Atlantic by the James Beard Foundation and won Season 11 of Bravo's Top Chef Series. He is also well known for his award-winning Philadelphia restaurants, Laurel and Royal Boucherie. Chef Nicholas Elmi and his team have curated delectable menu selections with farm-fresh ingredients to create a memorable culinary experience that you and your guests will savor! The Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing is also home to the Residence Inn by Marriott Philadelphia Bala Cynwyd. We kicked off Friday night with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Lark, followed by drinks and light bites in a private section of the hotel lobby. It was the perfect way to welcome our guests! On Saturday, we exchanged vows in the stunning outdoor area by The Pump House, surrounded by beautiful fall foliage, before moving inside for an unforgettable reception. The celebration wrapped up on Sunday back in the hotel lobby with a delicious farewell brunch by The Landing Kitchen. One of the things we (and our guests) loved most was the convenience of having everything in one place. Being able to stay on-site and attend all the events without needing to travel created a relaxed and communal atmosphere for the weekend. Our guests also continue to rave about all the food! We opted for a family style meal for our reception which we think added to the cozy feel of the weekend. Last but not least, we can’t say enough great things about Jennifer and the entire team at Ironworks! From the start, Jennifer was an absolute joy to work with—always responsive, and incredibly accommodating, even with last-minute updates. She went above and beyond to help bring our vision to life, and her expertise made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. Thanks to her and the team, everything turned out even better than we had imagined! If you’re looking for a venue that combines stunning spaces, convenience, and top-notch service, we wholeheartedly recommend Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate!

I were looking for a venue that could hold more people though, so when I saw that Pump House was a larger wedding venue on the same campus as Lark with the same moody vibe, I immediately inquired about availability. Our wedding was a rushed timeline (3 months to plan and execute) and our Pump House coordinator, Rachel, made the planning process so incredibly easy and seamless. The Pump House was open to all of our ideas and was extremely accommodating, especially when it came to bringing in our favorite canned cocktails, and providing our own food for the after party. The venue itself is the most beautiful I've ever visited and a ton of our guests agreed. One even said she wants to "copy and paste" our wedding for her own! Not only are the long farmhouse tables included in the cost, but they include table number signage, a menu at each place setting, all linens, and so so much more! The space is already interior designed so perfectly that we could cut costs on our floral budget and stick to a minimalistic design. We had guests tell us that the food is the best they've ever had at a wedding and I couldn't agree more. We opted for the family style option and everyone was so excited that they got to try everything! I hope to be a guest at a wedding there so that I can eat the food again! We had some guests with food allergies/preferences that we were unaware of and a staff member noticed that one of our guests was not eating the food and went out of their way to get her a meal that had no risk of what she was allergic to in it. That was so impressive to hear about after the fact. Kudos to the wait staff! The cocktail hour food was also incredible. Rachel brought us a tray so that we could try everything and then go and mingle with guests. She was so attentive, keeping me calm, getting us drinks, helping anywhere that she could, while also making sure that the wedding was running smoothly and on schedule. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Pump House throughout the planning process and our actual wedding day. I'd choose this venue and staff one hundred times over..we may have to do a vow renewal..

The thing that stood out most of all was the service: every single individual we interacted with, from Jennifer and Shannon during the planning, down to every individual waiter, bartender and staff member, was friendly, gracious, and genuinely helpful. Nearly every guest, including both my 93 year old grandmothers, commented on how wonderful the staff was. It really made the day feel extra special. I owe a particular, enthusiastic thank you to Shannon Corin, the event coordinator. She was a star, a consummate professional, and went out of her way multiple times to make our event run smoothly. Our wedding would have suffered without her, and I cannot thank her enough. Other than that, you will not be disappointed with this venue. The grounds are gorgeous, and the food at Lark is incredible. Thank you for a remarkable day!

ross the beautiful Pencyod Bridge to witness their building journey. Then my daughter became engaged and let her and her fiancé in on this treasure of remarkable historical significance to our area. The vision of our hopes for the perfect wedding venue came to fruition as soon as we all took our first steps into the Pump House! If you’ve ever been to the Lark Restaurant a top The Residence Inn, then you can imagine the beauty of The Pump House. It’s magnificent, with its strong iron softened with gorgeous wall art and velour. It’s gotta be seen to believed! Our ceremony tucked outside underneath the ‘Train Shed’ right along the river made the quintessential perfect ceremony backdrop. The venue was spacious and warm. 140 guests felt welcomed and adorned with o’rderves flowing throughout cocktail hour, our delicious dinner and desserts, the evening seamlessly flowing throughout the evening. This was all due to our fabulous coordinator, Shannon and her wonderful staff! Just want to shout out to Jennifer, our initial on-site manager who took us through the site, setting up the contract, and our point person and Shannon, who followed through with EVERYTHING! Here’s my thank you note to Shannon following our wedding this past Saturday…. Hi Shannon! I’ve been thinking about you nonstop since Saturday! You were the backbone to that entire event. The abundance of behind the scenes work that you and your well ‘oiled machine’ staff diligently performed did not go unnoticed by me. And your beautiful calm presence the day of made me feel incredibly valued. All your and Lauren's preparation to every detail leading up to Saturday came to fruition in the best way possible; made me feel like I was at the best wedding of the century!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to you and your incredible staff. You all went above and beyond. the flowers, the menu options-we receivedflawless service… Jennifer and Shannon led the way planning our event and I can’t say enough about the service at the party. Everyone said that it was the best party they’ve ever been to including our friends and family from New York and Connecticut, which says a lot. The food was outstanding. We went to the tasting menu and then reviewed our choices with Jennifer and chose the dishes very carefully. Everybody commented about the setting, the spirit and especially, the food. The food and service were above the bar. Shannon let the team the night of the event and she was unbelievably helpful. Super patient and follow the schedule perfectly. We were so impressed with her professionalism and communication. Again, my only regret is that it’s over ! I will definitely book another event In the future. They had plentyyyyyy of bartenders and staff members so no one was waiting long for a drink, food or help of any kind. They dedicated one staff member for me and one for my husband so we had a “go to” person all night. They were very helpful for all the vendors that came early in the day while I was getting ready. When we did our toast and announced the ceremony and the doors opened—I am just glad we had photographic evidence to capture the shock on everyone’s faces. Leading up to our event, Jennifer was so helpful. We had a few dietary restrictions from our attendees and Lark could not have been more accommodating. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and their overall experience. It was such a fantastic evening, everyone was so gracious and helpful, and it was just so amazing. The area itself has a beautiful backdrop for photographs and having the hotel attached to the venue made everything easy. You have made customers for life, everyone kept saying how they need to make reservations to come back!
