The Venue with a Past

Ironworks is a historic wedding venue in the heart of Downtown Denver, CO. This alluring and attractive warehouse-style venue offers a sophisticated setting for celebrations of all sizes and styles. The original Midwest Steel & Ironworks Company drafting center was built in 1903 and has stood as an iconic landmark for over a century. After a complete renovation in a "Denveresque" style, it has been reopened to host elegant events in its unique and breathtaking interior.
Ironworks' industrial-chic design was chosen in order to preserve its retro charm while adding modern and luxurious amenities. The character of the building lives on in its beautiful architectural details, which include hardwood floors, exposed brick walls and turrets, and large custom chandeliers. With over 6,900 square feet of event space, this venue provides a number of locations where couples can celebrate their momentous occasion. The open plan can accommodate 300 people and includes a large banquet hall, a mezzanine, a VIP room, and a full bar and kitchen. A patio on the east side can hold an additional 40 for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours.
The staff at Ironworks are dedicated to ensuring that every wedding is a spectacular and memorable affair. They will work closely with you to coordinate your big day and welcome outside vendors. With a prep kitchen and a bar that boasts taps of local beers, the space is perfect for your chosen caterer. In addition, the property is centrally located and close to the light rail, making it convenient for local and out-of-town guests. Complimentary parking is provided for more than 100 cars, and the venue is ADA-accessible.

This was the first and only wedding venue we looked at! We saw it inside for the first time and immediately loved it! It’s very art-deco, industrial, but with a modern and luxurious feel. Everyone at our wedding said it was gorgeous!
Stephanie, our coordinator was amazing and promptly answered any questions we had. We were also pleasantly surprised at the rental rate, when so many other venues were absurdly expensive.
We highly recommend looking at Ironworks or their sister venue Mile High Station!

We fell in love with Ironworks the moment we walked in, and it did not disappoint as a wedding venue. We had to reschedule our wedding due to the pandemic, and Ironworks was very responsive about finding a new date and did not charge us any extra fees for moving it. They also honored the reduced rate since we had to move from a Saturday to a Friday, which is less expensive. Stephanie was the organizer for our wedding, and she had a lot of great ideas on how to keep everyone safe and distanced in the venue. We were able to have a 50-person event in their space, which was perfect. The employees were great about reminding people about mask usage and kept people from gathering in larger groups. We got so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was and our pictures turned out amazing, so we were really happy with our experience. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a more vintage, luxurious feel to their wedding to check this place out--they were truly fantastic!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Ironworks.
Ironworks hosted our wedding in September 2019, and they truly delivered the perfect day. We were lucky enough to work with Kate Benyo, and she was phenomenal. Kate made the contract/planning phase so easy. She was very responsive to our emails and was able to provide us with answers to all of our questions about the venue, outside vendors, and pricing. Kate really knows what works in the Ironworks space, so she was a great resource to me on advice/suggestions for table layout, centerpieces, ceremony location, etc. Throughout the entire process she was so kind, professional, and passionate. On the day of our wedding, the venue was spotless and ready for our set up. Kate was there right on time, ready to help, and genuinely excited for us. It was very special to have here a part of our day.
The venue itself is gorgeous, with its fun/unique bar and statement chandeliers. You barely need to decorate, and it made for amazing photographs. Ironworks accommodated our 150 guest reception very comfortably. We held a more intimate ceremony in the upstairs area beforehand, and it was a seamless transition from ceremony to reception. I didn't even see it happen---and that is exactly what you want on your wedding day! On the night of our event, the sister property (Mile High Station) was also having an event across the parking lot, but you would have NEVER known. We did not see or hear anyone from that event, and it did not detract from our venue experience at all. Our final bill was exactly what they said it would be- no hidden costs. Everything about this venue was above board.
Thank you Ironworks, and Kate, for such a great experience! I would not hesitate to recommend this venue and management team to anyone.
