e were drawn to Isela’s documentary style of photography. As newbies to the process of hiring a professional photographer, she was patient, communicative, and helpful with any questions we had (e.g., hours, access to gallery). There were also quite a lot of changes that happened with planning our Hmong wedding, and I am grateful that Isela was flexible and understanding and took the time to ask questions to learn more about a Hmong wedding at home. On the day of the wedding, it was really chilly but Isela was out there getting shots of us and our family. My parents house was packed with our relatives and friends and Isela was respectfully and skillfully interacting with everyone. We love our gallery of pictures. Some of my favorite shots were candid moments throughout the day of the cooking, laughs, and love happening. We will definitely recommend Isela to family and friends. Bonus: As an Asian American couple, my partner and I are huge proponents of hiring people of color for events. We found Isela through theknot.com under Hispanic or Latinx-owned and could not be happier with our decision to hire her as our wedding photographer.

If I didn't move out of California this year, she would have remained our family photographer for the next 100 years. If we ever were to return, she is the first we would call. Highly recommend!!

moments with using mainly natural lighting. None of our pictures looked overly posed or stiff. She was able to truly capture candid moments that really displayed the joy everyone was experiencing. All of our photos were crystal clear and bright. My husband and I are in love with nature and she was able to meet us four hours away at a beautiful spot she suggested that made our engagement pictures look just magical. I have one of our engagement pictures as my desktop at work and everyone who sees it comments on how gorgeous it is. She made taking photos easy and is just the sweetest person to work with. Many of my guests even commented on how friendly and yet focused she was through the entire day. She made sure to capture every single moment she could. I couldn't have had a better photographer and I highly recommend her. Especially if you aren't a hardcore wedding planner like myself and you are looking for someone to make the process easy while at the same time providing you with amazing quality pictures.
