Island Grove Wine Company at Formosa Gardens is a vineyard wedding venue nestled in the Southwest Orlando area in Kissimmee, FL. Weddings at Island Grove Wine Company at Formosa Gardens begin in the two boho-chic get-ready suites. One of these is furnished with vintage-inspired settees, gold-encrusted mirrors, and lots of natural light, while the other features warm tones and lots of books. Both have hardwood floors and are classically beautiful spots for you and your partner to prepare with your wedding parties. Ceremonies are held in the heart-shaped garden, where a brick path leads down from the patio and through the manicured grass to a hexagonal arch. Afterward, you can sip cocktails in front of the wine barrel fountain before heading upstairs to the cavernous ballrooms. These banquet halls boast elegant wrought iron chandeliers, a minimalist color palette, and plenty of room for dining and dancing.
Island Grove Wine Company at Formosa Gardens offers a number of rental packages that accommodate gatherings between 40 and 150 guests. These come with 60-inch round banquet tables, six-foot rectangle banquet tables, high-top cocktail tables, standard banquet chairs, parking, and help with setup and cleanup. You will also have access to the property the day before your wedding for the rehearsal dinner. In addition, you can enjoy the vineyard’s fruit wines and delicious cuisine as you celebrate with all your loved ones.

I spent my 30th birthday here and that was the day I knew Formosa Winery would be our wedding venue. We got married here on 6.6.24 and it was nothing short of spectacular. Their event manager, Adam, was amazing. Leading up to the day, he responded to all my emails and texts quickly, and he was very accommodating. On our wedding day we forgot to print some of our signs and Adam was kind enough to print them for us. Also, more than half of our guests traveled from other states and the venue is perfectly located in the Disney area near all the hotels but tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. The venue is stunning, so we didn't have to do much decorating and our guests raved about how beautiful the venue is. 10/10 a great place to host any event.

It was great working with Jasmine at the Formosa Winery as I coordinated the wedding of Waltervenson and Alexandra. She was great to work with, easy to communicate with, even kind enough to give me a virtual tour prior to seeing it in person, and she was attentive to the details of the wedding day. The venue was good to work with and her staff very nice and helpful. Beautiful venue and thank you again for making my couple's dream wedding come true!

Our big day could not have been more perfect. The venue changed Sales Managers and changed prices, packages and a few other items between the first time we toured the facility and our Wedding Day. Through it all, Erica was incredible for us, helping track down pricing, vendors and ultimately being there on the day of the event to make sure that everything went smoothly. Through the highs and lows of planning the weekend, Erica was amazing! Thank you for making 111222 incredible for our entire family!!!

We requested information and took weeks. Finally when we got in touch we set up a caste to tour. After touring this venue we loved it, however the communication was so poor we had to find another venue. We attempted to secure our date and after multiple emails and no response still over a month later, I have given up. Pretty venue and we enjoyed our visit there for food and wine, but communication severely lacks.

Overall such a beautiful venue. They were able to easily accommodate our guest size (originally 120 but ended up being around 90 people). The size of the getting ready rooms were perfect as well. The only downside was when we originally booked the venue it was hard to get ahold of them via email. I would have to call to reach someone. They were going through a transition of staff at the time. Although, communication did get better as it lead up to the wedding day!

We absolutely fell in love with Island Grove winery when we first came across it 2 years ago. in the beginning we definitely had some hiccups with communication because the event coordinator at the time was in and out often. However ever since Briana took over as the wedding rep We had nothing But great communication and smooth sailing to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. Brianna was so patient and helpful every step of the way and I would love to work with her again one day. Even when our event had hiccups Briana was there to help make sure My husband and I enjoyed our wedding day.

What a perfect day! We originally booked the venue pre-covid and they worked with us for almost 2 years to make our perfect day happen. The venue is spacious and beautiful. Our photos came out amazing!

We used Island Grove Winery for our rehearsal dinner. The space we rented for this event fit our needs perfectly. We had the ability to mingle inside and outside. When the original event coordinator that we booked with was no longer on the team, Adam was amazing to work with! He was very responsive and eager to answer my many questions! The bar tender we hired form them was fabulous too! I would highly recommend this space for any private event!

Love love love! This place is beautiful inside and out, and this include the people who work there as well! Adam was so nice and such great help at last minute and KC was amazing through the whole process. They helped us rearrange ceremony chairs and set up a difficult USB to play pictures. Just amazing, above and beyond of what we expected. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get married in Central Florida :)

My husband and I just got married at Formosa Gardens on November 1st and it was EVERYTHING and more. The venue is BEYOND beautiful and the communication with handling covid was great! As you can imagine planning a wedding is stressful but planning it during covid is 100x more stressful. They did the best they could and it was hands done beautiful. Pricing is very fair as well you get the venue for 12 hours with 1 hour clean up time, entire property, bridal/groom suite, tables/chairs, linens and they do offer catering/bar service if you would like. RECOMMEND BY 100x

We absolutely loved this venue for it’s beautiful gardens, catering, bridal suite, and event spaces. My day was perfect and I am so happy I get to look back on such beautiful pictures from such a beautiful venue. The venue’s catering was great: they prepared the appetizers for cocktail hour (chicken quesadilla bites, spinach and artichoke rangoon's, and vegetable crudité) and the entrée’s for dinner. All of my guests told me how much they loved the food and we loved it as well. The bridal suite was a great space for my girls and I to get ready in and the groom suite was a perfect spot for the boys. All of the spaces were modern and elegant and large enough to accommodate. We used a room downstairs for our rehearsal lunch and it was perfect.
The communication with the staff was the only part that was lacking. While COVID did not help, there were times when I felt like it was difficult to get a response on urgent items I needed a response on. My main venue contact was furloughed and came back a month or two before my wedding, and even then her hours were cut so short it was hard to have a regular email conversation. My coordinator had a little better luck it seems, but even so it was frustrating. Additionally, on the day of the wedding, I purchased wine for the bar for cocktail hour (4:30) and the reception (6:00) and at around 7:30 I realized no one from the venue had ever given it to the bartender. I ended up going home with extra wine because my guests never had a chance to drink it. My guests couldn’t get wine… at a winery.
So I am giving this venue a 4 out of 5. It was seriously such a beautiful space, it fit my budget, and the rain cleared just in time for us to have an amazing ceremony in the gardens. Just be prepared that you may need to really work with your coordinator to communicate with the venue.

This place is fantastic!! The staff was extremely quick at getting back to me when I had questions. It’s close to everything but still far enough back from the main road to have privacy. The getting ready rooms are nice and big. It was wonderful to have everything done in one place. Our ceremony was outside and the reception was upstairs. The space is quite large and the prices are wonderful! Beautiful scenery for photos as well. 10/10

This winery/venue has officially become a special place for us, not just because of its sheer beauty and quiet atmosphere but the service we received was amazing. Haley was prompt to answer all of our questions and to quell our nervous spirits to have a wedding during COVID. the L shaped ballroom gave enough space for the guests to feel safe with a covered outdoor porch for guests to also escape to. They accommodate all our requests due to COVID and it was such a great party we didn’t want it to end! We had several guests come up at the end expressing how much fun they had. We had zero issues all day and can’t emphasize enough how affordable, professional, and accommodating Haley and the staff were through the entire process. 10/10 would recommend this place as a venue!

I wish I could give these guys 500 stars. We started working with Haley and team in January 2019 for an April 2020 wedding, but fell absolutely in love with the venue before we even got engaged. We visited several times before the wedding because we love the wine, food and atmosphere! We were actually at this winery with my parents when he wanted to ask their permission to propose to me. Due to COVID, we were forced to postpone and ended up with June 13th, and the Formosa team was so incredibly easy and efficient to work with throughout the entire process, and helped with what was an incredibly stressful time. We started working with Adam at that time as well, and both Haley and Adam were present during our wedding day and worked endlessly to make it perfect, and when things weren’t perfect (it’s bound to happen, you’ll roll with the punches) they were incredible to make it right. The venue itself is gorgeous, and there was enough space to allow for our 80 person reception with enough space to make our guests feel safe. We love this place, it has such a special place in our hearts and we can’t say enough good things. And it was such a affordable venue, after doing research into other spots in Orlando, without sacrificing quality. Schedule a tour and you’ll see what I mean.

Haley and the entire team at Island Grove Winery are the best in the business! This winery is a quaint, quiet location that has a beautiful indoor and outdoor space! While planning during the pandemic, they were so accommodating each time we made slight changes or adjustments and allowed us to view the venue before the big day to check out the layout. The upstairs ballroom is a large "L" shape, leaving lots of room for tables, food, bars, and a dance floor! The outdoor lawn area for ceremonies is picturesque and perfect for anyone looking to feel like they're far away from the theme parks and at a local vineyard! Affordable, the best communication, and made sure every part of our day was special! Not to mention that their local fruit wine is absolutely delicious! Again, ask for Haley because she is absolutely AMAZING! She reassured me through the whole process and made sure our wedding was fantastic, even with a pandemic!

We can't say enough good things and we heard so many wonderful complements from our guests - from the venue, to the food, the beer & wine, the INCREDIBLE wedding cake, the staff and more. It was absolutely perfect and a huge part of that was due to Haley and the rest of the staff being so accommodating and willing to customize the event to best suit our wishes. We recently had our wedding at Island Grove Wine Company and the venue perfectly suited our needs. Haley was an absolute gem to work with and she helped us with all the details right from the beginning. They have two rooms you can use to get ready in and they're taking all the right steps to make same-sex couples feel comfortable and welcome, which was really important to us. Having the ceremony outside with their cool hexagon arch worked out great. We were able to go take pictures in the vines and by the trees while our guests enjoyed the rooftop area for the cocktail hour. We had about 100 guests and the upstairs reception area was just the right size for all of them. The buffet catering we got through the venue was also very delicious and we got lots of compliments on it. Island Grove checked all the right boxes for us, plus we can go back any time to keep sampling their cool fruity wines!

We recently had the honor of having done our wedding celebration this past weekend at this beautiful winery! It was a year in the making and Haley was a pleasure to have helped us through it, from fine tuning the little details to the end result. Whatever she was able to have the winery provide for us she saw to it and was always responding promptly. Rebecca the pastry chef, what can I say? Hands down to an amazing job on our guava filled marble naked cake! It was an absolute hit with everyone! Hats off to the in house chef who catered our dinner, everyone enjoyed their meal, some went for seconds as quite a few guests did not show. The wait staff for the night did an amazing job from guest table set up, clearing tables even to my small requests for our daughter. If we could do it again we would pick the winery all over. If we could recommend this venue with 100 stars we would! Thank you guys so very much for making our night beautifully romantic with your winery and marvelously delicious with your food!

We had the most fabulous May wedding at Island Grove! The team was amazing from start to finish. Haley was our super star wedding coordinator. We were a bit needy and she was so patient and answered all our questions. She works with you to make your vision a reality. We had the wedding outside and then cocktail hour we did a wine tasting with all their delicious wine. We had Charcuterie boards made by their chef for cocktail hour as well. We then went to the ballroom for dinner and dancing. Again we used their catering for dinner and Cocktails Catering for our bar. They allowed us to bring a band which made the party great. The pictures came out amazing as the setting was just perfect. I am really happy we chose Island Grove and will have memories of a lifetime.

Haley is absolutely fantastic. She was always polite and professional and very understanding of my concerns and worked with me on the floor plan, catering details, and much more. The Chef was great and the food was delicious! I highly recommended Island Grove at Formosa Gardens for anything you need. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception there. It was also be a great space for a bridal shower, brunch, any party really. It’s very versatile.

In a nutshell, this venue is simply stunning! Even better, Haley is absolutely awesome to work with! The entire team there from Haley to Steve, who helped us move around our rentals, were incredible. So friendly and genuine people. They listened to our vision and were wonderful to collaborate with, going out of their way to make us feel right at home. Our team was so thrilled with the results and we cannot wait to work with them again in the near future! They are such a wonderful venue and a hidden gem in Central Florida. We cannot say enough good things about this venue! The location is absolutely perfect and the staff was incredible throughout the whole planning process. Eric Farb was the glue that held everything together. From day one, I knew we were in good hands! They are very accommodating and the facility itself is stunning!!! They helped bring my dream wedding to light and I will be forever grateful. I look forward to visiting frequently ...just to reminisce and drink the amazing wine!!! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a wedding (or any event really) venue! I’m beaming just writing this review...that’s how happy I was with this place !!
