Liz and Sarah at Island Life Events are the absolute best in the business, and it's not even close. From the very first call all the way through our big day, Liz and her team turne...
d what could have been a very complicated planning process into an extremely easy and stress-free experience.
Liz listened to all of our ideas and hopes for our vision, drew up a comprehensive plan, took all of our feedback into consideration, and, most importantly, was completely honest and transparent the whole way through. We knew that we could move forward with confidence in every detail of our wedding plan because Liz would let us know with full sincerity what would work, what wouldn't work, which vendors were worth their cost, and which weren't. She managed all of our communication between vendors with the highest level of professionalism and urgency. We worked with a venue that had extremely poor communication, but Liz stayed on them and pressed for replies and answers when they otherwise wouldn't.
Without Liz and Sarah, our wedding day would not have been the massive success that it turned out to be. It was such a pleasure to work with them, and I will miss talking to them regularly!
I highly recommend Sarah at Island Life. She treated us with compassion and sincerity. The company integrity and we greatly appreciated their help!
We hired Island Life Events for our spring 2024 wedding in Key Largo and worked with her for over a year. I wish I could be writing a positive review because, despite our experienc...
e, our wedding day was incredible. Unfortunately, after a year of working with Liz (the owner and our planner), her behavior on and after the wedding weekend was unacceptable.
We felt as though Liz did not give our events the level of service we expected. I emailed Liz in the hope that she would accept feedback and would use it to further improve her services. Instead, her response was incredibly disappointing. She took some accountability, but then moved on to blame external factors. She put my character into question based on her feelings of another wedding party member, and deflected blame on to me (her client).
Liz left our venue immediately after our rehearsal dinner, before guests even arrived for the welcome party. Our entire welcome party went on without a planner, so if any issues arose (which a few did), there was no planner there to handle it.
The most unacceptable situation occurred on our wedding day. Liz stopped us during our recessional to inform us that she was leaving, and her assistant would take over from there. That was our time to soak it all in before the festivities began and get once in a lifetime photo and video, but she interrupted that for us. In our opinion, there is no acceptable excuse for stopping a couple during their recessional or leaving before a wedding weekend event commences.
I would like to add that this review is not a reflection on her assistants Sarah and Sophia, who were incredibly respectful and helpful. And all of the vendors we were put in contact with were great.
We hope that this can help other couples in their planning process.
Liz was very knowledgeable and confident. I had so many questions and she always answered them.
Sarah was amazing to work with leading up to the big day and she was so helpful and...
extremely caring.
Super happy with my wedding and Island Life Events was a big reason for that (:
Do not use her. We used her as our day of coordinator and I wish we didn’t. She was responsive and fine up until the most important day, the wedding. She was messy and chaotic. She...
requires a detailed form of everything that she clearly doesn’t look over or pay attention to. So many of the important details were mixed up or just missed all together. She tried to convince me to not wear my beautiful vail (so she didn’t have more work to do? Not sure why). If you want to feel special and like every detail was payed attention to, don’t use her. She treats your wedding like it’s just another day of her job. Her pricing is fine I just really wouldn’t recommend her and her assistant
Hire Liz, one hundred million percent hire her, don't think just do it! Liz and her team at ILE are incredible and the best in the business. She is so fun to work with and had me d...
ying on the phone every time! We were planning from afar(we live in DC) and she made everything so easy and seamless when it came to coordinating trips down to FL for tastings and walkthroughs. She only works with the best of the best and if a vendor is on her list they are there for a reason and you will not be disappointed! Liz runs a tight ship and ensures everything runs smoothly on the day of the event I couldn't imagine planning our wedding without her! I'm sad its over and I don't get to talk to her regularly anymore!
Liz was an absolute pleasure to work with. We originally hired a different planner who made my family and me feel like we were a burden. We knew she wasn’t a good match for us and ...
decided to part ways. We were given Liz’s information from our venue. After our first conversation I knew she was the right planner for us. Every time I would e-mail, call, text she made me feel important. She made me feel like I was her only client. I knew how busy she was, but she took her time with me and went above and beyond for my wedding.
I am from out of state, so when I would make visits down to Florida we would have in-person meetings, which would last for hours - not just because of the wedding talk, but we would get side-tracked with convos about life. It’s important to have this bond/relationship with your vendors. When our wedding weekend came she was on top of EVERYTHING. I put my trust in her and her daughter, Sarah, and they both performed!
When looking to hire a planner take note. Make sure they advocate for you, make you feel like you’re a priority, and are experienced. We can’t thank Liz and Sarah enough for all of their help and hard work. I highly recommend Liz!! You will not be disappointed.

f the day. She has incredible contacts and reccomendations and makes your big day so easy and special. Due to covid, I had our wedding year 1 and reception year 2 and could not have done either of those events without Elizabeth!

ponded to ASAP and Liz was always in constant communication. I had a huge wedding and all of the logistics were handled flawlessly. She is a pleasure to work with and I will miss be able to talk with her!!! I couldn't recommend them more.
Liz at Island Life Events was amazing to work with. We were planning a destination wedding and she helped suggest vendors and just really knows the south florida area vendors. She ...
was always available via phone or email for any questions or concerns we had. Her and the team were key in helping us make sure everything went smoothly during our wedding weekend. We could not recommend her enough.
If you are looking for the best wedding planner hire Liz ! She made my wedding day PERFECT! Not only is she super sweet but also one of the hardest workers I’ve ever met . I forgot...
my veil for my sunset photos and she ran all the way across property to deliver it to me. Her assistant Sarah is also a doll. My event was beautiful thanks to her. I love you, Liz !!
Liz and Sarah were amazing to work with from start to finish! They made our wedding day go so smoothly and handled everything while we were states away!

moothly as it did. They took all of the stress off my shoulders to make sure that I had the best day of my life. They are organized, communicative, and amazing people wranglers (including my 26 person bridal party!!). They listened to what we wanted, made sure that it happened according to plan, recommended vendors, and ensured I didn’t spend money where I didn’t need to. Hiring island life events was easily the best wedding money we spent. Thank you again so much Liz and Sarah!!
Our wedding day would not have been the same without Liz. There is no other option for an event/wedding planner in South Florida!!! Liz and her team is professional, responsive, cr...
eative and go above and beyond to make your event a masterpiece! Liz is organized and gets the job done! No detail goes untouched. I cannot recommend Island Life Events enough, you will not be disappointed!

we visioned. We can’t thank her enough, and we are absolutely confident in our recommendation if you want someone to go to extra mile to handle everything for your special day:)

anner. She embraced us like family and showed true dedication and commitment to making our day remarkable. She took care of details of the day we had no idea about and coordinated a Team of other vendors to make the Wedding Day seamless. Even when Mother nature didn't agree, she made swift adjustments, as if it was the plan from the beginning. Made our day stress free and we were completely able to enjoy the day. We are forever grateful for Liz and would tell others to book her asap. She is a God sent. 🙏🕊💞
PERFECT!! COULD NOT THANK THANK THEM ENOUGH!!! Even with all the crazy 2020, ILE worked with me and was so patient and so helpful. You can trust this team with any task! Thank you ...
for everything!
About a year ago, I hired Liz to do day of coordination for a wedding in Islamorada - at that time I did not think much about it. Come 2020 and the era of covid19, I started talkin...
g to Liz almost on a daily basis and I am so thankful for her. We postponed the wedding by only a few months and scaled it down to a small and intimate wedding. NONE of this would have been possible without her. She helped keep my vendors in touch, found us new entertainment, she checked local ordinances and county requirements to always have the latest information. I credit Liz for all of my mental strength. She helped me remain calm - calm enough that we decided to go forward with our event! I am so so so so so happy Liz was there to show me how this event would be possible during these weird times. If you are worried about covid19 and still want to have a wedding - YOU NEED TO HIRE ISLAND LIFE EVENTS. When it came to the actual event, everything was executed perfectly. We were worried about some inclement weather and Liz had backup plans ready to go and then when the weather held up, she had everything back to how we originally planned. They were more than just day of coordinators, they went over and beyond. I promise you, these are the people to hire and it is WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!! Thank you guys sooo much for everything that you accomplished, I am eternally grateful.
I couldn’t say enough good things about working with Liz! I started planning my wedding at 11 months out and from the 1st time I met with Liz she put me totally at ease. Her expert...
knowledge, planning skills and designer input made it a breeze to plan our wedding. Liz has connections to every vendor you could think of. Every one of her suggestions was the best idea and contributed to making our wedding day as seamless and beautiful as it was. It was the biggest comfort and relief to know that I had Liz organizing our wedding. We had Liz run our rehearsal and direct the show on our wedding day and the whole day was seamless. If there was any issue we did not know about it! Liz- thank you so much for everything!
Liz is the best around!! We planned our destination wedding in Key Largo, FL and met her through our venue early on. She connected us with wonderful local vendors and was so respon...
sive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She is funny, professional and so supportive. She helped eliminate so much stress during the planning phase and made our special day such a breeze. We are so thankful for her efforts and highly recommend her and her team to anyone planning a wedding in the South Florida area!
I do not know where to begin!!! My husband and I had a great feeling about her the moment we set up our preliminary call. She provided us all the possible vendors we can choose fro...
m and still was super open and accommodating when I found my own and did her own research to provide us more outside of her list. She gave her opinion when solicited and provided guidance when needed. Liz always made sure everything was aligned and if we ever had issues , she was on it like white on rice!!! We had things solved before we even knew it was an issue! We enjoyed every second with her and she made our dream wedding come true. Thank you Liz for everything and we hope to keep in touch in the future!!!! You are a rockstar and we love you forever!!
We were recommended to Liz and thank goodness we found her!! Can't recommend her enough, from how available and supportive she was leading up to the day of, so how helpful she was ...
during and following the event when we had some concerns with how some other vendors treated us. She was our biggest advocate and I can't thank her enough.
A thousand times yes! Liz was a dream. She is funny, personable and on her game. She made our day and everything leading up to it seamless. The wedding itself ran like a dream. ...
The decor was 10 times more perfect than I pictured in my head. I told her to make it explode starfish and seashells and she did just that. It was enough to make a mermaid jealous!!! I had zero stress and zero concern handing over everything to her with little to no instruction on decorating.
I would recommend her to everyone and if I could do it all over again with my husband we wouldn't have changed a thing. We LOVED it!!!!!!!
Where do I even start?! Liz is the best of the best. We planned our destination wedding in Islamorada, FL for December of 2017. She connected me with wonderful vendors and was so r...
esponsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. After Hurricane Irma, our original venue assured both myself and Liz multiple times that the hotel would be open by December 2. THEN - less than 30 days before our wedding - our original venue sent me an email informing me that the hotel would no longer be open in time due to delayed hurricane repairs. I was completely beside myself. Only with Liz's guidance and sense of calm were we able to find a new venue, coordinate with all our current vendors, find new vendors, and finalize our *new* wedding in less than FOUR DAYS. If this is not a testament to Liz's patience, expertise, resourcefulness, and professionalism, then I don't know what is! And, best of all, I can truly say that our wedding went off without a hitch in Miami at the National Hotel. THANK YOU, LIZ! xoxoxo
I can't express how happy we were with our decision to hire Liz and her team. I hired Liz as my "Day of Planner" but she is much more than that, she really loves what she does & lo...
ves to be involved in the process. Liz and Jennie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect & she doesn't hold back to do so. She is tough but in a gentle & kind manner. She works very well with all of your other vendors. My wedding looked beyond beautiful. After our discussions & meetings, Liz set everything up exactly how I envisioned. If you are looking for a planner trust me she will make your day perfect. Thank you so much Liz & Jennie we could not have done it without you.
Working with Liz is, in two simple words, a breeze. Liz just makes things happen. Efficiently, without drama, without any expectations. She just wants you to have the best day poss...
ible and will use her considerable connections and knowledge to make that happen. It spoke volumes to me that every vendor I worked with thought so highly of her and made it clear to me that I’d managed to find myself one of THE event specialists in the Keys. Sitting here, after a beautiful wedding, I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with them. Thank you, Liz! You were a genuine pleasure to work with.
Liz and her assistants were the most amazing and helpful people in all of our experiences. Liz was extremely involved and paid such close attention to detail. Unfortunately, our ...
original venue experienced damage from a hurricane six weeks before our wedding and Liz jumped right into action to take care of moving vendors to our new site. I cannot thank her enough. I would highly recommend Liz and her team to anyone I know getting married in the area. Not only did she take care of everything, but she was always there to assure us that everything was going smooth. Thank you so much, Liz!
Liz was an amazing wedding planner and day of coordinator. I booked my venue before it had even opened and since she was local she was able to check out the venue and update me on ...
the progress. Her local connections to vendors made my long distance planning from New York so much easier. I would definitely recommend Liz for your wedding. She is extremely flexible and always available to chat about the details.
Elizabeth and her team were absolutely AMAZING! She was extremely organized and so helpful throughout the entire planning process. It was because of her that our wedding went off ...
without a hitch! She was there by my side and made sure everything went perfect. Everyone should have Liz on their wedding day
Liz is the best around. Period. She knows what she is doing and how to execute your dreams for your wedding. We hired her as a day-of-coordinator, knowing she had 2 additional wedd...
ings that day. She was up front about the additional weddings and told us her assistance Christina would be with us all day. We clicked as people and she was so responsive. I could call/text/email at any time and she would respond quickly and if she wasn't available at that time, set a time up immediately to answer questions. I would say that the only con is that Liz is such a upfront and honest person and her assistant is a little more passive than her. This is not a bad thing, but just caused other vendors to be a tad more vocal the day of the wedding. Worth every penny to hire Liz and her team to make your wedding perfect!
We chose Liz as our Wedding Coordinator knowing we needed the "whole enchilada" for our November 2016 Islamorada wedding at The Caribbean Resort. From our very first phone call to ...
the wedding day, she was attentive, responsive, and fun! Knowing the area and our venue so well, she easily guided us through local vendors and helped us make decisions.
At times we ran into communication issues with slow responses from our vendors. One quick email to Liz, and we heard back from our vendors right away! She exhibited patience, creativity and professionalism throughout our process, even when I decided to change my floral theme a few months before the wedding! She assisted in helping my mother-in-law choose decor and flowers for our rehearsal dinner at The Cheeca Lodge.
On our wedding day, Liz was organized and calming. She kept us informed of the setup progress and held us to the tight timeline we requested. Our band (which we chose on our own) was a nightmare, but Liz handled them with ease!
We could not have been more pleased with Liz and her team. My husband and I agreed that she was the best money we spent on our wedding. We highly recommend her and will be forever grateful for her guidance throughout planning our most special day.
With love-Kelly and Patrick Nutt
I had planned my destination wedding down to every last detail. Having rented a home in the FL Keys and bringing everything into the home, I thought I could just set up everything ...
with the help of my family and friends early that morning. A week before my wedding, I just didn't want the pressure and responsibility of organizing everything. After searching theknot and sending Liz an email and she responded right away that morning. We talked on the phone and I booked Liz without hesitation the same day. I am so glad that I did. She accomplished more than I could even imagine. My vision and dream wedding came true.! She was able to incorporate everything meticulously! I am so grateful to have had Liz and her assistant-Jen for my wedding day. I highly recommend Island Life Events. Everyone still raves about how great everything looked and my night was great. I just left everything in their hands, and it all stayed on track. Thank you Liz and Jen! I couldn't have done it without you both.

gined. She made it so easy for me, a type-A personality with control issues, to be able to relax and enjoy my wedding day. I had no idea exactly what my reception would look at upon walking in. However, when I entered my venue, I was truly speechless. Liz had visualized and helped put together my absolute dream wedding. Not only does her creativity amaze me, but she is very confident in her abilities which is something I greatly value and find to be very important when it comes to putting a wedding together. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her and her assistant, Jennie. I truly hope to stay in contact with both as they are not only incredibly talented and wonderful professionals, but amazing individuals.
There aren't enough wonderful things I could say about Liz from Island Life Events.
I hired her as our wedding coordinator and she went above and beyond the call of duty!

he was ALWAYS available, helped me through multiple meltdowns, made sure I was able to work with a seamstress she knew that did last minute alterations on my dress (3 days before my wedding!), made sure everyone was on top of what they were suppose to be doing and set-up all the decor so beautifully I was in awe.
She was also so sweet I was sad the wedding was over because I wouldn't be able to talk with her as much anymore! :) Not only was she amazing at what she does but she is also someone you want to become friends with! I HIGHLY recommend her if you're looking for someone to help make your wedding amazing while minimizing your stress.
