Skip was very easy to communicate at the beginning of our planning for our big day and even the weeks leading to the day. However, the day of, Skip missed the mark entirely by not only announcing our bridal party in the wrong order for our grand entrance (actually left one couple out and announced them as us), and then made the most grievous error by not actually updating our initial correspondence document based off our many conversations following suit. Skip held us to an original song interest document completed more than 6 months before our wedding without updating it based off numerous emails and calls. My father has been deceased for nine years and I adamantly did not want a father-daughter dance. My fiance stressed this to Skip a week prior to the wedding, as well as during other phone calls and even on a new excel document that we sent leading up to the wedding (no father daughter dance listed!). So what happened during what should have been the happiest day of my life? Mr. Isley interrupted me while I was speaking with guests to ask me what song I would have liked for a father-daughter dance. Rather than taking the queue as I immediately responded "my father is dead", he continued to ask what I would like to do for the dance. Mortified does not even begin to describe how I felt. Other than this terrible mistake, I would have given Skip four stars for keeping the crowd on their feet dancing albeit disorganized... but I would never want another bride or groom to experience such an awful experience and think it's best to warn about the lack of updating documents on this DJ's behalf, especially when it comes to such an emotional and pivotal time of your life.
