didn't seem excited when I asked to go through it one more time ( a total of 2 times) . After that she said" i really have to go" & ran inside the house & left myself and entire wedding party standing outside on the porch. Then onto the actual day of the wedding. We arrived at the venue a little after 10 and walk inside the house to see a man cooking breakfast, laundry being done and cartoons on the tv. Really? is this a wedding venue. I understand this is your home as well, but you should have a balance. There should be nothing personal going on when you conduct business. We were also asked to take our shoes off, again awkward. There were baby bottles out, a stroller, and endless animals wondering all over. We get up stairs to the bridal suite. I walk in the bathroom and was taken way back. There was personal toothbrushes, and dirty towels in the bathroom along with a shower that had not been cleaned and a ceiling fan that had not been dusted in god knows how long. The dust had dust growing on it. Upon the arrival of my flower girl who is 2 years old, a house cat lunged & hissed at her as she was walking upstairs & scratched her left arm up. That was awful and she would not stop crying. Their excuse? "He's old, sorry" It was mortifying for her, thank god she or anybody else was not allergic to their house pets. 15 mins. before the ceremony begins we were told everything had to be out of the house because "my father in law goes to bed early and we cant be in here later to get your stuff out" i was completely stressed out! Neither owner had the courtesy to come up stairs & ask ONCE "Do you need anything or help"? No, not at all. Beautiful venue but not worth it from 2 ladies who clearly don't care about anything besides $. Their bad attitudes & comments were not ignored by my guests. Connie, another owner, even made a comment to a guest that she hates doing these kinds of things. neither ladies had a smile on their face and seemed if so that our event was a burned to them. Once the reception was over we were rushed off the property. They were very pushy, even moving tables around so the father in law could but his boat back underneath the barn before everyone was gone! Overall I would definitely recommend that if you use this venue get ready offsite It is not worth the stress they put you through trying to get ready in their home when it is not set up for a wedding event.
