g. I skipped right down to hire a wedding planner. Hiring Whitney at It’s a Beautiful Day was the outright best wedding decision we made. Whitney and team were absolutely amazing throughout the wedding planning process. No matter what we threw at her, Whitney tackled it with a smile and a “no problem!” Here are just a few of the monkey wrenches we through Whitney’s way. We started the planning with Whitney for an off season wedding in December, but due to a SURPRISE pregnancy we changed it to a peak season September wedding. This was after we fell in love with a venue! Miraculously, Whitney was able to secure the venue we loved even after they told us they would not have anything available for the dates we needed. Not only did our new date cut the time by three months, but it required Whitney to plan right through the birth of her son. Let me assure you that did not change the amazing care that Whitney took during our wedding planning process. Whitney had her beautiful baby boy on a Saturday and was updating aisle planner and contacting bakers on Monday! The week of our wedding mother nature decided to throw in a little monkey wrench of her own, namely, Hurricane Florence that decided to come the SAME weekend. Whitney talked to our venue and was able to get us three options: choose another date, full refund (this NEVER happens!), or continue as planned. When we decided to continue as planned Whitney again said “no problem!” and proceeded with the rehearsal and wedding like there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Needless to say, the pending hurricane caused a ton of cancellations at the last minute including the DJ and half of the guests. Whitney was able to secure a contract for the new DJ two days prior to the wedding. On the day of the wedding he lost his voice and Whitney and team came to the rescue once again! Pam, who is an amazing member of Whitney’s team actually did all of the announcing at the reception. Whether you are a bride that has been planning your wedding your whole life, or if you open the wedding planning book and have a panic attack because you have no clue what you want your wedding to look Whitney at It’s a Beautiful Day is the wedding planner for you. I was able to watch her through the process, and what struck me was how meticulous and thoughtful she was with every detail, without getting stressed out. That is hard to do! Like every bride, and wedding coordinator, can testify, there are hiccups all the way through the process of planning your wedding, and Whitney took it all in stride and still managed to get the exact wedding she wanted. I know that she will keep a cool head and remain just as determined to provide other brides with the wedding of their dreams as a wedding coordinator.
