As part of our wedding cake package we get to have a small cake made for us on our first anniversary instead of eating a piece that's been in the freezer for a year! We LOVE It's All About The Cake!

The presentation was simple and beautiful, just like I wanted. They were able to work with some toppers I made on kabob skewers - no hesitations to use it! The reason why I gave 4 stars for service was the rushed feeling I got when we had our tasting appointment. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with our choices, but I felt pushed to pick the second flavor (the chocolate/raspberry) because it was "very popular". I don't know if that was intended to get our order in and the appointment completed... but that's the feeling I walked away with. The cake was delicious enough to not have to worry about it!

I made the decision to go with It's All About the Cake on the spot and have never regretted that decision. They even sent home a tasting plate for my fiance. I worked with Alexandra for my wedding cake, grooms cake and dessert buffet (my mother worked with her for my shower cake). Let me start with praising Alexandra first -- she is not only adorable but extremely talented. Her cake designs left me speechless. I went in with an idea and she created a masterpiece! My grooms cake was the coolest cake I have ever seen. I gave Alexandra a list of all my husbands interests (he has lots) and free reign to create a show stopping cake. And she did. He was speechless and didn't want to slice it. My wedding cake was a 4-tier slice of heaven. It was elegant, sophisticated, flawless and so me. From the hand made sugar flowers to the delicious butter cream frosting, which was so perfect it looked like fondant, the cake was awesome. Vision aside, the one thing that really matters is taste -- we've all been to weddings where the cake is beautiful but taste not so much. It's All About the Cake uses all natural ingredients and it really comes through in the flavors. It was so good my guests were asking for a slice of each layer. It was the most delicious cake I have ever eaten. I also ordered a variety of mini pastries and cookies for a late night dessert buffet. All I can say is there were no leftovers. Once my guests had a taste of one they kept going back for more. The staff at It's All About the Cake were professional, talented, punctual and a pleasure to work with. bridal couple visited a month later, I set up a two day schedule that was jam packed with appointments and after one pretty intense and rather stressful morning we ended the day at It's All About the Cake. I planned it this way on purpose because I knew Alex would take all the stress away and let the bridal couple thoroughly enjoy choosing their cake. The couple agreed with me, they loved the cake and the experience because Alex is fun, upbeat and positive with every couple. They chose two different kinds of cake and my daughter communicated with Alex on some very specific designs and provided some drawings and sample pictures. Alex's mother called about two weeks before the wedding to make sure everything was okay, she is lovely also! The cake was delivered on time, exactly as ordered and absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see pictures.

We settled on strawberry shortcake (vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and pastry filling) and chocolate with raspberry filling and chocolate mousse. Alex did a great job helping to guide us into flavors and the style that we wanted. The cake looked beautiful, like fondant but made with yummy buttercream frosting. The top layer had a flur de lis to match our New Orleans theme, the middle layer had our monogram, and the bottom layer had decorative swirls. We got a separate sheet cake to keep the costs down. Everyone loved the cake. The costs were right on target with the phone estimate whereas the other bakeries prices seemed to go up when they added delivery charges, etc. We had also ordered another cake for my Grandma's birthday, and sadly, my Grandma passed away unexpectedly before the event. They refunded the money for my Grandma's cake, which I thought was very nice of them. I will definitely use them for my next family event.

I wanted a very modern looking cake and though I wasn't completely sure about the details of the design I wanted they came up with a design that looked fantastic. We were so impressed with their cake designs that we decided to order custom sailboat cookies decorated with our names and the wedding date as favors. Not only were the cookies absolutely adorable, they were delicious too. I will definitely go back to It's All About the Cake for future special occasions.

er than Sprinkle's red velvet. Since I had 250 guests, I got a 5-tier cake and every tier could be customized for both the cake and the icing. They delivered the cake on time and it looked exactly as the picture I selected. The guests rave about the cake. I have to say the cake did not taste as good as the tasting cake, probably because the tasting portion was smaller so of course, quality control was easier. But still, I was really satisfied with their cake and would recommend this store any time.

My husband and I just looked at eachother in amazement. s we were going to go with since they all delicious. Once we narrowed that down Alex worked with us to decide the perfect design. She was so helpful since my husband and I didn't have the 'exact' image I'm sure we weren't the easiest to work with. But she was patient and helped us craft the perfect cake. The final cake came out beautiful and I think seeing guests with multiple slices on their plates and the lack of left overs speaks to how great they were (we did red velvet and strawberries and cream). We also used It's All About the Cake for a day after brunch for my Husband and my Aunt's birthday. She did an intricate cake that had a horse themed on one side representing the country (where my aunt lives) and crabs and sand representing MD (where my husband is from). As with the wedding cake it looked and tasted amazing. They are definitely a must!

Everything was exactly like I had hoped and wanted. We ordered way more cupcakes then we needed to and yet by the end of the night, they were all gone.
