Custom Wedding Cake serving Michigan since 1920!
We worked with Iversen’s Bakery for our wedding cake for our October 2023 wedding. I scheduled an appointment to review designs and cake tasting. Rhonda had two cakes for me to take home and try, both of which were amazing! I showed her about 10 different designs and after talking it through she figured out how to make my favorite design a reality in an economical way! We had the decorative cake and sheet cake for our guests, vanilla with Bavarian raspberry filling and chocolate with Bavarian fudge filling. The cakes tasted great and looked amazing! I would highly recommend this bakery for any occasion!

Our cake turned out perfect! My family has gotten cakes from Iversen’s for years, and my husband’s family couldn’t stop talking about how good the cake was. We picked a design from one of their photo books, and Rhonda helped tweak it and gave us some suggestions to make it a little bit more our own. They are so easy to work with, and the final product is amazing!!

ch cake. They said they would give me a plain white iced cake and a dowel rod to support my crystal cake topper. I expected that I would have to do most of the work to get the cake topper set up. To my surprise, they went above and beyond by setting up the cake so the topper would perfectly fit and put some small pearls on for decoration, even though we never discussed extra decorations. My fiancé and I were thrilled because our cake looked so elegant!! The cake tasted amazing - we even took some leftovers to Jamaica with us for our honeymoon the next week!

hard time choosing flavors from the amazing selection, but we ended up going with raspberry swirl cake/raspberry & bavarian cream filling, yellow cake/bavarian cream filling, and chocolate cake/fudgy chocolate filling. We brought in a cake topper and our florist provided greenery, and Rhonda and her team arranged everything beautifully. The cake was delicious. Gina created an absolutely STUNNING 3-tier cake for us with separators, in which we included hydrangeas. Her frosting job was impeccable and her customer service during the entire process is second to none. We could not have asked for a better baker. dreamy and beautiful. We took home 3 whole cakes after our cake tasting and the combinations were some of the best we've ever had. We ended up picking the white cake with strawberry cream filling for our layer to cut into and had a lemon and raspberry sheet cake for the rest of it. With some coordinating between Gina and our florist, we were able to get fresh flowers to adorn the cake in the most delicate way and the cake topper was placed perfectly. We'd recommend Iversen's Bakery to anyone for a delicious and beautiful cake for any event!

The price was so affordable and on my wedding day the cake was stunning and tasted perfect! I could not have asked for better service. They delivered to my reception venue and were even willing to help me last minute when it turned out that my cake topper was too heavy to put on the top. They created additional flowers out of icing for me to make it look so beautiful. I appreciate them and would highly recommend anyone needing a cake (for any purpose) to choose Iversen's. They have been around for a long time and my parent's had their wedding cake from them, my brother had his wedding cake by them, and now me.

We were able to cut costs a lot while allowing the cake to remain as an eye-catching decoration by having a four-tier cake with two fake layers. There was a sheet cake in the kitchen that was a different flavor to feed the rest of the guests. No one even knew about the sheet cake or the fake layers! If you decorate your cake with flowers, Rhonda gives you the option to bring in flowers for her to decorate with, or have a florist or friend decorate it themselves. We were eating the cake for days, and will definitely be coming back for our first anniversary!!

o helpful. We had a difficult time choosing cake flavors/fillings/frostings from their huge list because everything looked so good. They give you 3 small cakes for your consultation -- which was actually really neat because not only did my husband and I get to try them, but we had enough to take some pieces to our friends and family to get their input. Rhonda actually allowed us to try one of her personal favorites too (in addition to the 3 we chose), and we actually ended up choosing the flavor she recommended for one of our wedding cake tier layers.
The business is very professional, and BY FAR, one of the most affordable places we found for wedding cake. You get a lot of cake for what you pay for. And BONUS... instead of freezing your top layer from your wedding day, they will make you a fresh wedding cake for your one-year anniversary (which is included in your cost)!

to whittle down their extensive list of flavors and fillings into just three cakes to try! (Our visit to Iversen's was my husband's favorite part of wedding planning.)
During the consultation, we spent some time going through the books of their previous wedding cakes and photos I had brought with me, and Rhonda helped combine design elements from several different cakes into something that I loved! The cake also looked and tasted fantastic at the wedding!

ful and professional. We only had a minor hiccup was in half the cupcakes there was no filling. Easy mistake though besides that everything they did was perfect. I recommend them to all girls I know that are engaged. Just go try them :)

She whipped up a sample decorated layer while we were tasting (they had the best buttercream of all the bakeries we went to), and it was perfect! Could not be happier with how it turned out, and we get a free fresh top layer on our one year anniversary.
