ly partially responded to us during the summer and early fall because she had other weddings or it was busy season-- situations that would have been completely understandable if it wasn't for the fact that for our wedding week, in November, she was also only partially responding. Knowing she brushed off communications that weren't about that exact week's wedding, I was certain my time would eventually come.
About six weeks before the wedding, Amanda emailed me and some vendors asking to do a call. She asked what a particular day, after a particular time looked like. I said I was open. The photographer said she was available. I didn’t hear back from the DJ or videographers or Amanda. I heard nothing. Then, that day, I checked my phone after work and saw they had a meeting without me two hours prior. I should have never trusted this meeting. Two weeks prior to the wedding, the venue asked me and Amanda to have a final meeting. Amanda didn’t attend, and instead told me to tell her if anything changed. It had— it became immediately apparent that she never properly communicated with the venue.
Mentally I prepared myself for a week of chaos-- albeit, I had assumed a week with lots of guidance that surely the other couples must have been receiving. Instead it was a week of chaos, again on the same island I've been on.
There were mistakes with start and end time of the reception, bar services, meal planning, cost of services (including her own), flowers, and even headcount and seating. My theory is that we were rushed, and seen as easy money. In fact, the on-site coordinator called me 48 hours before the wedding telling me that the timeline Amanda had given her, versus the one Amanda had given me, was off by an entire hour— which means dinner wouldn’t have been ready at dinner hour. Imagine paying for planning services to learn that.
Now for the good: she did recommend an incredible violinist and photographer. The videographer and DJ weren’t necessarily in my best interest, they were certainly strongly encouraged based on her professional interest. That being said, I met with these vendors without her-- and truthfully, they guided me more.

hen vendors have fake reviews but Amanda has earned every glowing review she has! She always had a solution to any issue that arose, she covered bases that I did not know I needed to be covered. She made sure to get us the best possible service and price from every vendor, which helped us stay on budget. We had a wedding out of our home state, which I was very nervous about, and Amanda gave us so much peace in the process. I was very thankful that Amanda was ALWAYS on my side throughout the entire wedding planning. At the wedding rehearsal in front of all my wedding parties, she reinterated several times "don't forget to smile because we don't want to ruin the thousands dollars of photographer money". Amanda was all hands on deck from day 0!!! Upon hiring Amanda, we had an initial meeting where she laid out a timeline with homework on check points to ensure that we are running to speed towards our big day. She continued to have monthly check in meetings with us to see our progress and was also available over email and text whenever we had a question or needed some guidance/professional opinion! You can tell how much she loves her job and puts her heart into making people’s wedding dreams come true. She attended to so many details I would have never seen/or known of-like textures and color palettes of table linen, flower combinations in the bouquets, and making sure the website and invitations had every detail for the wedding to lessen the texts/calls leading up to the day.
Her knowledge of the vendors took a huge burden off of us, and each vendor went above and beyond our expectations as well-quality attracts quality!

February 2020 we had made excellent progress with venue, DJ, and photographer and everything was falling into place.
When the COVID pandemic began ramping up, Amanda did not let up. My fiancé and I didn't want to let the Pandemic control our lives and stop the wedding. So Amanda pivoted the entire event and created a wonderful COVID-friendly wedding in September 2020.
The pandemic impacted more than just the venue and the food service. It also affected my work-life. I was now working from home for a local restaurant company navigating through a Pandemic as well. The stress of everything just ultimately became too much and I asked Amanda to just take over the planning/execution from here on out. She and I had already discussed my nice-to-haves and need-to-haves and I knew shew would advocate for us and our special day.
My now-husband and I both come from Jewish backgrounds. His side is Orthodox while mine is more Traditional/Israeli in culture and practice. We were both determined to put on an event where both our families would feel comfortable. Amanda worked closely with my mother-in-law throughout the entire process to make sure we were following the Jewish traditions. Her commitment to understanding our culture and the ease with which she blended our ideas made for the PERFECT day.
On the actual wedding day itself, everything went accordingly plan as far as I was aware. I had the most stress-free day a bride has ever had and I couldn't have done that without Amanda. The hair, photography, florist and DJ were all recommended by Amanda. Her network is reliable and executes beautifully. Do not plan an event without Amanda and her team!

ers, you name it; was solved by Amanda in a matter of minutes. To give you a few examples of what went wrong:
1. my bridesmaid didn't order her dress in time. We called the company multiple times to try and get it to us to no avail - Amanda was able to get it shipped next day after speaking to their manager.
2. DJ quit night before wedding - Amanda helped coordinate a new DJ with the company as well as advocate for partial reimbursement
3. Babysitter did not show day of for Matron of Honor - Amanda found a babysitter within 5 minutes who worked for the venue so was there all ready to go.
The list goes on, but I think this shows how wonderful she is. She is kind, caring, and really goes out of her way to make your day stress free. She is beyond reliable and is great with communication. I don't know what I would've done without her, even with the venue coordinator. I am so happy I hired her, and you will be too.

I met Amanda. If you are debating whether or not you should hire Amanda as your coordinator, stop now because she was my saving grace the entire planning process. I didn't realize how little I actually understood about the planning process until she helped me break down every detail. She was so wonderful and available the entire time, from late night worried texts to me changing my entire theme 7 months out. Amanda even came out to my dress fittings and helped me find the perfect dress and alterations specialist, giving me so much peace of mind. The day of my wedding, I unfortunately came down with food poisoning, a total nightmare! By the time my ceremony rolled around, I was just barely able to put on a brave face and carry on, but without Amanda my day would have been a disaster. I worried about NOTHING the day of my wedding, no vendors bugged me, the ceremony and reception flowed so beautifully, she made sure I always had water and felt comfortable. I had my dream wedding because Amanda made it happen, I feel so grateful that I met her and will recommend her to every person I know getting married. Thank you Amanda!!

She is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding(s). First of all let me say, my brain is not made for wedding planning. You can Pinterest all day, and think you like something, until you see it. That was my problem, I thought I knew what I wanted... turns out I had NO IDEA what I wanted, and could only recognize what I didn’t like. (A wedding coordinators night mare I’m sure.) Still, Amanda was extremely helpful in trying to pin down an overall concept, helping me stay on task, prioritize, and provide a lot of helpful recommendations and accommodations to make sure it turned out amazing. It is also important to note we had our ceremony 2 months before our reception.. which basically means we planned two weddings. We had hired Amanda as a Day of coordinator.. she went FAR beyond that and was crucial to the execution of both weddings. We also had an awful experience with trying to nail down a room block (over 7 months of hell) and at the end of the day it turned out they still had it wrong just weeks before the reception. Amanda stepped in and took it over ensuring all that we were originally promised was fulfilled. Everything was flawless and their room accommodations were spectacular! If you are on the fence of getting a coordinator, get one. Hire Amanda, because the stress that starts to creep in that last month, only intensifies. Little things went wrong (as they always do) and all she said was “don’t worry about it, I’ve got it.” We were all able to enjoy the best day(s) of our life! We can’t thank you enough Amanda!

ays/weeks after the wedding, she made us feel totally at ease with her ideas, direction, and, frankly, insane attention to detail and organization. Amanda was so professional and thoughtful in getting us exactly what we wanted – even pulling ideas and creativity out of us that we didn't know we had.
The day of went off without a hitch. Amanda took care of every last thing and we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the festivities and enjoy what, to that point, was the best day of our lives. There was one tiny hiccup (no fault of Ivory & Lace – it was a venue thing) that she squashed with such speed and professionalism that I think anyone would be lucky to have at their wedding. In fact, we didn't even know about this hiccup until well after the wedding! Amanda puts the couple's happiness and enjoyment first and, with something like that, she has the know-how and grace to fix it without even bothering you.
I mean, what more could you ask for? Seriously, you won't be disappointed!

On the day-of, it was so relieving to know that she was there because I knew (while I was sipping a mimosa and getting my hair done) that things were being taken care of and running smoothly. She was very detail oriented and made sure that my check-list was completed. She was my venue's "go-to" if they had any questions which cut me out of the things I probably didn't need to hear while I was enjoying my wedding. If you like check-lists, getting ideas from someone, getting quick responses, and knowing that your wedding will run smoothly because of your coordinator, I highly recommend Ivory & Lace!
