try and listen to your concerns and address them, but unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to do so. You stated in your post that you were told not once but twice over the phone that Ivory Bridal Atelier would be able to meet you dress needs and I do stand by that. It was never our intention to mislead you in any way. I can tell you as the person that places all of our orders that over 30 percent of our brides are a size 16 and above, so to defer a bride in any way from visiting our store is something we would never do. None of our designers limit us in that regard and we can provide dresses for girls of all shapes and sizes. Buying a wedding gown is an emotional purchase that in my belief requires a very consultative approach. Unfortunately we are only able to purchase one of each sample so unless a girl fits perfectly into a bridal 10-12 which has happened maybe a few times in the six years we have been in business, we are having to use all kinds of clipping techniques to give each bride the best idea of how each gown will look after it is special ordered in the appropriate size with the necessary customizations. The upside is that because all of these gowns are special ordered we are able to make so many customizations to make them fit any girls needs. We can add length for taller girls, raise the break for girls that are shorter, raise necklines and backs for more support, open the cup for a girl with a larger chest. The list goes on and on. We are excited to work with every bride that calls and is interested in our designers and we were excited to meet and work with you. All of our A line and ball gown dresses have fit girls that are up to a bridal size 26 and we carry a few fitted gowns in a bridal size 16-18. These dresses represent over 50 percent of our store. Even if the fitted gowns don't have the particular details that a bride is looking for, they serve to give a bride a great idea of how that shape looks like on, and then we narrow in on the details. So again, when you stated that you were a size 16-18 and asked if we could accommodate that and meet your needs the answer was yes. Many of our designers even carry specific samples in a size 16-18 that we can request to borrow once we have narrowed down exactly what a bride is looking for. The process is very consultative and we take great pride in taking each bride through the journey by providing her with all of her options that will fulfill her specific needs. If we were given the chance to put you in even one dress, I believe that we would have been able to convey that. In fact just that morning before you had walked in, I had just placed an order for a size 20 bridal gown, and we had just unpacked a gown that just came in that was a size 24. I wondered after you left if we would have even had a chance to work with these two lovely brides and help them find their dream dresses if we would have told them that they can just come in to browse.
