Ivory Hour

Ivory Hour did an amazing job with my wedding hair and makeup! Laura was wonderful to work with. She really listened to my vision for the day and recommend the perfect hair style based on my dress and the feel I was going for. She was also incredibly helpful with building a schedule for the morning of the wedding. On top of being talented at hair and makeup, Ivory Hour was great to have on-site as the bridal party was getting ready. They were positive, calm, kind, fun and professional. Thank you!

Picture this: it’s three months before your holiday weekend wedding, and you realize you need a new hair stylist. Talk about PANIC. Everything happened for a reason though, because I met Laura! After many frantic emails and inquiries, my makeup artist let me know that her friend Laura was available for my wedding date, and wow did I hit the jackpot. Laura is the most meticulous, detail-oriented and talented hair stylist I have ever worked with. I have fine, red, curly hair and up-dos are very hit or miss for me. When Laura did my trial, I was amazed at how effortlessly she put my hair into the perfect up-do! I also typically get terrible headaches from having my hair up, but I didn’t have one at all for my wedding day. My hair felt secure and stayed in place all day, with no headaches or stiffness from hair spray. I have allergies to fragrances, and Laura took the time to research products and brought them to my house for the trial for me to have! Not only is Laura extremely talented, but she is so kind. She redid my sister-in-law’s hair three times to make sure it would stay put for her all day! All of my bridesmaids have wildly different hair/lengths/styles, and they all looked stunning in both updos and with their hair down. My mom and mother-in-law were so nervous to have their hair done, but they were both THRILLED at the results. Laura listened to everyone’s input and she followed through with their visions. I cannot recommend Laura enough, and I am so thankful she came into my life. Laura is so talented and meticulous and such a wonderful person - I wish everyone could have Laura do their hair for their wedding day! Thank you for making me feel so beautiful and for making the day so special!!

James made sure my now-husband and I had our best hair day on our wedding and he even styled several of our family members who were in from out of town. In addition to his obvious talent and professionalism, James has a rare ability to genuinely connect with people; he can make the most stressful of days begin with laughs and fun. Ivory Hour has two super fans in us and we will continue to recommend James to everyone for their wedding days or for any days.

The Ivory Hour exceeded all of my expectations! They were consultative in their approach and provided great ideas on what would look best on me. My hair truly looked stunning.
