Ivy & Altar Events offers event design, consulting, production, coordination, and full-service wedding planning in Grosse Pointe, MI. We are based in Metro Detroit but are happy to service all of Michigan, as well as destinations near and far.
At Ivy & Altar Events, we enjoy working on a wide range of event styles, budgets, and needs, and we love to take on what others may call "wild" ideas and overcome new challenges. We specialize in bringing unique visions to life and making the planning and/or hosting process relaxing and even enjoyable for our clients, whether that's handling virtually everything from ideation to execution or only helping with a small part.
We have years of experience working on a wide range of event types and scales. This experience allows us to bring a unique perspective and fine-tuned creativity, vision, and extreme attention to detail for each new event. Ivy & Altar Events lives to be the wizards behind the curtain, making magic happen and dreams come true.

Owner, Lead Planner
Claire has a bachelors degree from Loyola University Chicago and has been planning events for just under a decade. She is a self-proclaimed chaos organizer, eternal optimist, and lover of all things elegant, artsy, and outside-of-the-box! Based in Michigan, Claire can plan your event wherever your imagination takes you. Before deciding to follow her dreams and start Ivy & Altar Events, Claire planned a wide variety of events during her career in the experiential marketing and corporate event spaces, working with many recognizable celebrities and brands such as IBM, Google, Amazon, Macy’s, Coach, The NBA, The Detroit Lions, The NFL, TikTok, Teen Vogue, Philosophy, James Allen, Toby Keith, SXSW Festival, Ford, The Department of Defense, NBC Universal Peacock, and many more. Claire’s background allows her to bring a unique perspective to each event she plans, and her creativity, vision, and attention to detail are second to none. Claire is a 2025 bride herself, and when she’s not working on events or planning her own wedding, Claire enjoys cooking and baking, gardening, painting, snowboarding, country music, and spending time with her loved ones, including her dogs, Jax and Ivy!
