About this vendor
You are a kick-ass kupcake on a plate of bran muffins; a magical icosahedrite buried in a world of diamonds; a musically-gifted dolphin that can win any cats vs dogs debate while organizing a refrigerator like a winning game of Tetris amongst a sea of minnows.
You're one of a kind. So your photographer shouldn't just be another horse in the herd...they should be a UNICORN.
•••ixi is that unicorn•••
There are a lot of great people out there that can take beautiful photos of your wedding. But there are hardly any that specialize in nontraditional, rule-breaking, quirky, unconventional, nerdy, fully self-expressed weddings. But I do. I'm that almost-too-good-to-be-true marriage (hehe) of a highly-skilled professional and wacky, whimsical weirdo that will crack open your awkward shell.

Some unicorns are all business... other unicorns are all party. ixi is the perfect mixi of both.
My fiancee and I walked the rows of Lovesick Expo looking for a good photographer. ...
We wanted somebody fun and cheerful to bring real smiles and happiness out of our guests, yet somebody quirky and chill enough to match the tempo of our wedding. Since neither us us particularly enjoy having our pictures taken, we also needed somebody we were very comfortable around.
Booth after booth, we saw nicely dressed professionals pushing 1/2 off price packages if we committed to using them then and there. The portfolios were average and the pressure was off-putting. We kept searching.... and then we saw her. Wearing a one piece silver bodysuit and rainbow underoos and leggings, crowned with a single horn impaling a beer can, and illuminating the aisle with a refreshing, uplifting energy, we knew she was the one. After talking to her and sharing a few jokes, we felt even more assured that she was a perfect fit (and we hadn't even looked at her portfolio yet). Needless to day, her portfolio work was stunning. She captured great lighting, poses, and candid moments that didn't feel forced or staged in any way. SOLD. We're very happy to say that she brought that same level of joy, humor, and photographic expertise on the day of our wedding, and we couldn't be happier. Even more, ixi put just as much time and skill in to creating a gorgeous photo album and printing photos (which, as an artist, I can attest that getting the colors in digital photos to come out perfectly in prints is not an easy thing to do). When we received our album and photos, they were beautifully packaged as well. ixi is the BEST in the biz.

rned out. (She got them back to us super fast too!). She helped make our day so special. Thanks again!!!
We enjoyed working with Alexandra (Ixi) when we first met and never regretted our decision to choose ixiphotography! She helped us to feel comfortable and to be ourselves. Our ph...
otographs represent who we are and tell our story beautifully. She helped make an exciting time even more wonderful. From our engagement pictures to our wedding photos, we have been absolutely delighted. Alexandra is not only very talented, she is kind, warm, and a very smart business woman. She gave us a thoughtful gift after we signed our contract and a wood hangar with our last name on it for my gown right before the wedding. Our family even commented on how they enjoyed working with her. Her web program made it easy for us to look at our photos and choose, order and communicate with her. All in all, our experience was better than we could have imagined. Ixi deserves 10 out of 5 stars!
We had an outstanding experience with Alexandra at IXI Photography for our wedding on Sept. 20th 2014. She is extremely organized with her questionnaire, very responsive, and arri...
ved early to both our engagement photos and wedding day. Alexandra has a unique and very sweet personality. She is very easy to talk to and is able to pull people out of their shell and forget that you're taking photos. She was my favorite vendor of our wedding. My entire family kept saying how much they liked her throughout our wedding day, and they are still saying this after a month later. The quality of her work and pictures is outstanding. She and her other photographer captured every moment from our families getting ready, creative detailed still shots of the venue, the ceremony, family pictures after the ceremony, and fun shots throughout the reception of our friends and family dancing. She was able to make our nephews laugh and keep still for a few great shots of the young kids. She also had our photos ready in less than 3 weeks after the wedding, and we had almost 800 pictures. It was like the day was a still shot movie. We are so glad we chose Alexandra and IXI photography to document our wedding. She also gave me a custom "bride" wooden hanger for my wedding dress, and took a picture of it hanging from a tree outside the venue before I got ready. The picture is amazing. She also sent us a gift for choosing her before we did our engagement photos. She is so thoughtful and creatively detail oriented, she's a very talented photographer.
Alexandra is an amazing person! She's sweet and wonderful to work with, she's easy to talk to behind the camara. She has this great way of not forcing you into poses, but every n...
ow and then making a suggestion. It's a cool mix between forgetting you're being photographed because you're just in the moment, and working with someone who you know is making you look good.
And her photos are BEAUTIFUL. She really does a great job of capturing the emotion in moments, not just the way things look.
I didn't realize how much photography cost when I first began planning, but she was a really good deal for the Austin area. The package we got included our engagement photos too!
If you want photographs that will invoke the wonder and excitement of your wedding day years later, she's definitely the way to go.
Alexandra of ixi.Photography is one of a kind. She put everyone at ease and captured wonderful moments at our wedding. She was super responsive to all questions and went above and ...
beyond to familiarize herself with the important family members and guests. I can't say enough good things about her. We had several non-traditional wedding elements and she was very open and excited along with us. We had initially considered not having a photographer due to sticker shock, but Alexandra's prices are a great value. Looking back, it was absolutely worth it and we are so glad we found her!
