I used Kimie as a videographer. My wedding video looks like something from a movie. It's so romantic and she captured our love beautifully. He pricing is great. The only thing I wish was more seamless was the communication and timing of getting the details of the video together (song choice, questionnaire) and there was a wait to get my video to me. She did make things right by adding full ceremony and speeches. All and all I am happy. I would still recommend Kimie because her talent is worth it. I promise you will not regret allowing her to capture your wedding. She is also well regarded in Richmond wedding scene.

Kimmie was our photographer for our tiny wedding that was planned super fast after the new COVID restrictions. I had not even talked with her or met her before my wedding day, and she made it feel like she had been planning to be our photographer since the beginning! I was set on having a 4pm winter wedding (hello sunset!!!) but did not even think about how fast the sun would set. Kimmie made sure that we had all of our portraits done with just enough light and then got some AMAZING sunset photos of just me and my new husband! We are not very photogenic people.....at all.... and definitely thought we would be so uncomfortable and not look right.. but Kimmie made us look like a magazine! She also got our photos back to us in less than a week which was mind blowing to me. She blended into our reception and got some great candids. My favorites were the dances, as she was able to capture the feelings we had with each other and with our parents. I would recommend her to anyone!

Made our small COVID wedding feel like it was a major event. Her attention to detail while shooting and her attentiveness to my wife’s needs and making her feel like a queen on our special day. We will be using IYQ again for future special momenta

Kimie James. Best. Ever. Not only does she put her heart into her work - as demonstrated by our wedding photos - but she is a remarkable human being and was a remarkable support system for this bride. The pandemic made it necessary for my husband and I to change everything about our ceremony. These changes meant I did not have my wedding entourage to assist with pre-wedding preparation. Kimie went above and beyond being a photographer by jumping right in to help me be in the moment and enjoy one of the most special days of my life - all while capturing beautiful photos. Her professionalism, optimism, and keen attention to detail and all things wedding made my husband and my day perfect! I smile looking at our photos not only because the day was special, but Kimie captured every single moment as though the day were her own. We will definitely be using her in the future.

We feel blessed that we found Kimie at a wedding show. After meeting her we didn’t look for any other photographer. We didn’t need to. Neither my partner or I enjoy having our picture taken, but we knew we would want our magical day captured. Kimie had great wedding advice in general to offer us and when it comes to photography she exceeded our expectations. We felt entirely comfortable with her from day one. We were going to skip an engagement shoot but Kimie said it would give us all a chance to get familiar with working together and she was right. It also got us really excited for the big day. She says all the right things to help you relax, moves quickly and will find the perfect moments to capture. She made us look great but captured all the emotions of the big day!!! She was an absolute professional, knows the business and is a blast to be around. We adore her, as a great student person and a photographer .Every photographer she brought on to help was a delight to work with as well. Kimie was the most amazing photographer we could have hired for our day. Everyone felt comfortable with Kimie, especially those of us who are unused to being in front of the camera. She is wonderful to work with, has an amazing energy, and we could not have asked for a better experience. The photos both for our engagement shoot and for our wedding were spectacular. We had trouble choosing favorites to print because they were all so gorgeous. As if that wasn’t enough, we received previews of our photos in record time - less than three days after our event.

Kimie was phenomenal to work with. We had planned our wedding in under a month and were lucky enough to have her as our photographer through Waters Edge RVA. She made me feel gorgeous and comfortable in my own skin. The photos she took were magical and captured the sweetest moments with our closest friends and family. I never could have imagined them any more beautiful. She went above and beyond to ensure we had flattering yet romantic memories to look back on. My entire family couldn’t stop raving about how she made everyone feel included by capturing candids of them. She also helped make my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. There wasn’t a single moment she missed out on. She had previews available for us the next day, and gosh were they beautiful. We’re so incredibly grateful for having her capture our most precious day! We couldn’t recommend her enough!

Kimie is an absolute dream to work with. She made my husband and I feel so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, and gave us perfect guidance so that our photos turned out amazing! Not only was her photography incredible, but she was also fun to hang out with on our wedding day! You spend your entire wedding day with your photographer so it's really important that it's someone that you enjoy being around on the most important day of your life. Kimie captured such special moments. Moments that I didn't even notice during the wedding, like my best friend wiping happy tears from my daughter's eyes and the expression on my mother-in-laws face after we were married. Kimie was also VERY quick to get photos to us. The day after our wedding she sent me a handful of photos that I used to share the news of our marriage on social media. It was really nice to have professional photos to share. It was followed by a preview gallery and our full wedding gallery just a few weeks after our wedding. I can't say enough wonderful things about Kimie. She is a wedding photography goddess!

One of our closest friends got married about 4 months before we did and mentioned how much they regret not getting video footage of the ceremony, speeches and dancing. My husband and I were about our budget since we were paying for two weddings (one traditional and one normal) but really wanted to remember our special day. We met Kimie through our photographer and she listened to our concerns, worked with us and helped us with a timeline. I have seen some highlight videos in the past but the one she put together for us bought together all the highlights from our day, things we missed and even bought some emotion to my husband. It was beautiful and funny at the same time. This was the best money we spent to relive our wedding day. It is amazing how short of a time we spent with Kimie but she was able to pick up on a ll the things we felt were important. If we had to do it all over again, she'd be one of our first calls to book!

Kimie is amazing! She is very talented and warm. Working with her was so relaxing. She is very focused on what the couple wants and will do all she can to accommodate you. She is the perfect mix of professional and friendly. Not only is she fun to work with, her photos are STUNNING. As soon as I saw her portfolio online I knew I wanted to hire her. We met in Richmond for coffee and she gave me a gift certificate to starbucks (which is where we met). We talked about the wedding plans, colors, venue etc. We also did an engagement shoot in March. It was cold and windy that day but I think the pictures turned out lovely. My hair looked kind of wild in some of them and she offered to reshoot them, but I thought there were so many good pictures in the album already we didn't even need to take more! After meeting her in person there was no doubt she was the photographer for us! She checked in regularly in the months leading up to my wedding and helped me think through the types of photos I wanted her to capture. She also was able to provide coverage with a second photographer for a few hours in order to take photos of the groomsmen getting ready and the ceremony. I just received my wedding preview and I love love love the pictures. Each time I look at them (and I look at them like 5 times a day) I get tears and think about how special that day was. She was able to capture that effortlessly. Kimie is worth every penny!

There was no question before our special day came which photographer we would be using. Kimie is professional, prompt, and captured special moments we would have otherwise missed. I would suggest if a couple spends money on anything it would be photography and IYQ will not disappoint. Our engagement photos are amazing! Kimie gave me exactly what I wanted before I even knew what I wanted. As a person who is not very good at posing, she was great at directing, giving advice and suggesting great poses. She really captured me and my fiance's personality and love. There is no way to overstate the value of having Kimie as your wedding photographer. It’s not that she’s fun, sweet, relatable, whipsmart, professional, and incredibly easy to work with—although she IS. It’s about her eye, which appears to be magnetized in some supernatural way to attract every key emotional moment. She is incredibly attuned to detail, will capture every guest, every special item you may have chosen or crafted for your special day, every random funny moment you didn’t think anyone saw. She perfectly rendered my mom’s reaction to seeing me in my dress, both my partner and I crying during our first look, us looking adoringly into each other’s eyes during the first dance. But she ALSO captured my burst into laughter when my husband’s vows seemed to correspond to mine (though we didn’t plan that), us hiding behind the dessert stand and playing air guitar later in the evening, our flower girl making embarrassed and somber faces: the little and awkward and important things that you would never remember later without a shot to jog your memory, but which bring that day back to life. I can’t imagine anyone has ever had a more beautiful collection than the one Kimie made for us, and I am indebted to her for life.

Kimie did a stellar job of capturing so many special moments throughout our ceremony and reception. Our wedding video will be a cherished memory for years to come. I highly recommend Kimie and her services!

just recently did a shoot with Kimie! She is so spunky and full of life! I had the best time and felt like we were best friends. She was very quick to help give me ideas, pose me and stand on various nearby items to get the "perfect shot" I only wish we had more time!!! Kimie was a total God-send. We had been searching for months for the perfect photographer and when we finally connected, I fell in love! Kimie did videography for our wedding and did an AMAZING job! She was very professional, and easy to work with. The highlight video she made for us was wonderful. We got it very shortly after our wedding as well! I would definitely recommend her services to anyone looking for good videography.

My wedding pictures from Kimie came out seriously perfect. We got married in August in D.C. (so basically in the swamp), so I was concerned I would look like a hot sweaty mess in all my photos. Kimie worked her magic though and all my pictures came out just like I wanted them to. She also did a good job making my husband and I feel comfortable since we aren't really the most natural in front of the camera :)

Kimie did an amazing job with our engagement photos. Despite being the hottest day of the year, she kept our spirits up with great direction and laughter. She kept with us as we found our rhythm through various poses and locations. We immediately framed a handful and intend to use them as inspiration for our invites. If we weren't already doing a destination wedding with photography included, we'd seek her out again.

Where do I even begin?! My husband and I used Kimie James for our engagement and wedding pictures and to say that we were beyond thrilled is an understatement. From my first initial meeting with Kimie, I knew that she was going to be the best fit for our big day. When we got our wedding pictures back, they literally brought tears to my eyes. Her ability to capture the random moments, the hugs and smiles from our guests, the reception details- they came alive in her pictures. From the moment Kimie arrived on our big day to the last possible minute, she was busy busy snapping away. She made everyone feel so relaxed. We knew that we didn't want the "traditional" posed wedding pictures, and she completely got us. She sent out a survey prior to the wedding day (which I thought was SO thoughtful and clever) asking us what were important areas to us and what we absolutely wanted captured and she hit every single thing on our list. Every time someone asks to see our wedding pictures, they are blown away at the beauty and quality. We couldn't have been happier with Kimie. She has a heart of gold and went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our day. I look at our wedding pictures almost on a weekly basis, not only was it the best day, but Kimie captured the best day in the PERFECT way. We were SO happy with Kimie that in a few short weeks, she will be shooting our newborn family photos- and I can't wait to add more of her beautiful photos to our collection! Needless to say, we were so incredibly happy with Kimie and would recommend her in a heartbeat- SHE'S WONDERFUL!

We hired Kimie from IYQ Photography to shoot our wedding. She was very easy to work with! In addition to all the standard portrait shots, she really captured the 'feel' of the wedding. She had excellent flexibility and was able to meet with us on our terms for things like the engagement shoot. My father is a professional photographer and I've grown up surrounded by beautiful photographs my whole life. So you can bet that I was discerning customer when it came to my wedding's photographs. I couldn't be more pleased with how the photos came out.

Kimie James is fantastic! I found her on Craig's List of all places. I had a limited budget for photography so started my search on Craig's List. Kimie responded to my request and sent me a link to her website. From the moment I viewed her website I knew I wanted her to shoot our wedding. Her style was exactly what I was looking for. Prior to our wedding day she asked me all sorts of questions to get a feel for who we were, what was important to us, what we wanted to have photographed and what was less important. She was consultative and gave us ideas as to what we might want photographed (some things I never even thought of). My husband really liked her because she was not pushy AT ALL... Never did she take us away from our day to get pics she thought we should have. She listened to us and only did what we wanted. The pictures came out perfect! I had a sneak peek of the pics before we even left on our honeymoon and more pics waiting for us when we returned. I ordered an album from her for my parents as a Christmas gift which arrived in time for the holiday. I looked at my pictures almost every day after I got them. Kimie provided more than one way to view the photos which was great. Kimie was professional, punctual, friendly, helpful, consultative and fun!! I will recommend IYQ Photography to anyone!

I want to give 10 stars. Kimie didn't run away when my husband and I wanted to take our engagement photos at Busch Gardens. She embraced the challenge and ROCKED IT! She made my husband feel comfortable and guided us through the process, made us laugh and the photos really reflected how comfortable we were with her. Months later, we got married and Kimie NAILED IT AGAIN. She is professional, easy to work with, funny, never bossy and her product is the best around. I'm a wedding planner who had her choice of Richmond's best photographers and I never had any doubts at all that I was going to hire Kimie.

Kimie James is a great photographer and a pleasure to work with. She did an engagement shoot for us as well as our wedding. She took the time to get to know us before our engagement shoot so that when we finally met it felt natural and comfortable. She went above and beyond what she needed to do for our engagement shoot, resulting in a wide variety of fabulous photos. While we haven't seen all of our wedding pictures yet, she shared a substantial preview with us less than 4 days after our wedding. Those photos alone are fantastic and we know the end product will be amazing. Her images will be our lasting reminder of our wedding - and we're so thrilled that they will be her work. She did an admirable job of blending into the background when appropriate but still taking all of the various photos that we had on our list. Her talent is clear and we're honored to have worked with her!

Kimie has got to be the best photographer that i've seen or worked with. She was like the wedding photography ninja, behind us, and next to us every step of the way. I only wish we'd have had more time with her in the day.
