Justin was amazing for both our engagement shoot and our wedding day! My husband has a hard time faking a smile, but Justin made it so easy to laugh and smile through it all. He ha...
s a great personality, and got along with everyone there. He even got to know my bridesmaids by guessing their names only by knowing their occupation. I received so many compliments and comments on our photographer about how nice he is and the great personality he has. The photos came out beautiful as well! You can tell he knows what looks good, how to get the right angles, and how to make everyone pose. He brought along a second photographer, Veronica, who was amazing as well. She would take an idea that Justin had and would bring it to life in the most beautiful way! Even when it started to rain a little, we used it to our advantage! I could not have asked for a better team!
We are so glad that we used Justin for our wedding! He was so fun, professional and we got a bunch of comments on how great our photographer was throughout wedding day. We were run...
ning pretty behind and he got us caught up with no problem and eased our anxieties. We would definitely recommend him and his team!
My husband and I were fortunate enough to have found Justin to do our wedding! When we met Justin at Lake of Isles Wedding Showcase, we instantly knew he would be the perfect photo...
grapher for our wedding day. My husband and I never had professional photos taken of us before, so at our engagement shoot, we were very nervous. We shortly realized how easy it can be, all thanks to Justin. From start to finish, Justin was professional, organized and caring. In addition, my husband never really enjoyed the thought of taking pictures. However, my husband says now how thankful he is for Justin and how he made the picture taking fun and enjoyable and not awkward or weird. On our wedding day, Justin didn't miss a beat. We actually had our guests come up to us asking if we knew him personally and if he was part of our families. This goes to show how caring and kind he is. He also isn't afraid to get on the dance floor and catch some awesome moments which we loved! If we had to do this over again, we would choose Justin every time!
I'm going to try to condense this to the best of my ability. But working with Justin has been THE MOST HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I think I have ever had with a business in my life. Thoug...
h we had our wedding during COVID, and booked him from 2019- I found that he over promised and under delivered. Dont get me wrong, the photos actually came out okay for the most part, But the process to get them was the worst thing EVER. I think that Justin over booked himself and my husband and I waited 7 months to get our pictures, after multiple calls, texts, emails, and visits to his office to find him. It wasn't until I sent him a picture of his office door (showing we came to pay him a visit) did he respond to me after 3 months of not hearing a single thing from him. I was so angry and it was taking a toll on me because all I kept thinking was this man ran off with our thousands of dollars spent on our wedding photograph with nothing to show for it. I had to threaten him that I found an attorney to come after him and in a matter of 2 mins he responded and then sent over our picture an hour later. Not to mention, when he first sent over the pictures it was only 116 pictures of randomness. I tried to call him to let him know this couldn't be all the pictures and he literally sent me to voicemail. I had to leave a voicemail, then he responded via text "im in a meeting-oh the files got mixed up." I was so furious with his LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM, HE HAS HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION SKILLS ESPECIALLY AS A BUSINESS OWNER, AND IS GREEDY ONLY FOR HIS MONEY!!! I would strongly urge those who are looking for a photographer to look elsewhere. Working with Justin is not worth the stress and frustration. There is no way this man should be in business anymore. If you cant do the job then be humble enough to know that. I was so patient with him and understanding of what is happening, especially regarding COVID-19 but he didnt give me the same grace back and pretty much left me to worry and stress.
Justin and his wife, Veronica are incredible!! They are so kind, genuine, and amazing at what they do! They know exactly what to do and made us feel so comfortable! They are profes...
sional, accommodating, and timely. Since day 1 and to our wedding day, they were accessible, available for comments, and very responsive. They make sure to capture everything and more! Their work is superb and you will not be disappointed. Look no where else, they are AMAZING!!!!!!
When we were planning our wedding we were shocked and so excited that Justin was available for our wedding date. From our consultation, to the actual day of, Justin was incredibly ...
personable and put us at ease. Justin and his assistant Rick were incredible professional and efficient the day of our wedding. Justin had the wedding party laughing the entire time and was able to accommodate shifting some things around during the first look to meet the needs of our family members. Justin is incredibly talented & fun and we are so grateful that he was able to capture the memories of our wedding day.
Unfortunately my sister used J. Benson Photography for her wedding. After pushing the date back a year because of Covid, Justin was not able to be the shooter at the wedding. He as...
sured my sister that he would send other great shooters. 3 days before the wedding he sent her an email with the names of 2 shooters that Justin had never mentioned and forgot to tell her. The main shooter was horrific. Rude. Unprofessional. Scattered. Erratic. He gave no direction for poses. Each shot took way too long. When he did put us in poses, many were terrible and if they look OK it’s only because our videographer was making suggestions to tweak our poses. He didn’t do ANY pictures that the bride kept asking for. The bride and groom did a first look with an hour and 40 minutes before the ceremony. That apparently wasn’t enough time to get in all the group pictures for him. The bridal party, the bride and groom missed the entire cocktail hour (literally the reason they did the first look). During cocktail hour he stated that he “needed a break to eat” and vanished for 10 minutes. At this point none of us had eaten or drank either. That was just one comment among many other terribly unprofessional and SHOCKING comments (another of my favorites was “I’m about to get in my car and go” - just what every bride wants to hear from her vendor on her wedding day). The bride then had to ask him later on in the evening to take pictures of her and her husband because he barely got any that she wanted. He honestly should be fired and she should get her money back for how unbelievably awful they were. It was a terrible experience and I would never recommend this company to anyone unless you want to 1) wait 6+ months for your pictures, 2) want to deal with someone who is terrible at communicating or 3) want to have a shooter who was rude and incompetent on the most important day of your life.
There aren’t enough words to profess how AWFUL our experience was.
We hired Justin to photograph our wedding and he was AMAZING from start to finish. From our consultation to the end of the reception, he was great! Not only was Justin super funny ...
and personable, he was able to keep our entire wedding party on schedule with all the photos, etc. Everyone at the wedding loved him! Not to mention, I love his work, he takes amazing photos! We cannot recommend Justin enough!
Justin went above and beyond to make our special day absolutely perfect. He even helped put my veil on, springing into “stage mom” mode with so much care! He made sure every detail...
of our day went smoothly and captured everything while being such a fun part of the day. I cannot recommend him more highly! Truly the best!

ing all day, they even learned ALL the names of our 21 person party (yup- 10 Groomsmen and 11 Bridesmaids) THAT DAY! From our engagement photos, to our wedding photos… I couldn’t ask for a better photographer.

un a ton of fun. Guests at my wedding were commenting on how wonderful he and Veronica were. His attention to detail and creativity is something to truly admire. His sense of humor was a major added bonus.
Being a COVID bride meant a small wedding with a larger reception this coming March for me. However, it does make us exited to work with Justin again!! My husband and I hope to get pregnant and instantly I said to Justin- “I hope you do maternity shoots so we can have more fun hanging and taking more photos!”
Please do yourself a favor and meet with Justin. You’ll see why we chose to work with him! You won’t regret it!!

he wedding process. We love the photos from our wedding and he is always looking for ways to try something new to get the best shot. He even took to the dance floor with us when we asked him to show off his flossing skills haha. I would definitely recommend working with Justin, just know that he is in high demand and at times, it takes some effort to get in contact with him. All in all, I promise you that his work is stunningly timeless.
Justin was amazing and made our day incredibly special. He has a super approachable style, along with the know how necessary to beautifully capture whatever event you hire him for....
Hiring him on the spot to be our photographer for our wedding was the best decision we made. Him and Yatzik were personable and exactly what we were hoping for! Great team and great quality of work! Worth every penny!

the night as photo opportunities arose. Getting to see the sneak peek of our photos was amazing, emotional and heartwarming! We can't wait to see the rest! We can't speak highly enough of them and are so thankful that we were able to work with them!
Justin is an incredible photographer! We were so impressed with not only his work but his personality. We decided not to have an engagement picture session, which made us a little ...
nervous how we would feel the day of with the camera, but Justin truly made us feel comfortable throughout the wedding pictures! Justin's wife, Veronica, was his assistant shooter for our wedding and the two of them were not only great at their job, but really fit in with our friends and family! Their personalities and talent are wonderful! Justin has great ideas and we relied on his opinion for locations. We are happy we listened to his advice, as the back drops of our pictures are gorgeous, especially the lighting. We quickly got a preview of our photos and I cannot wait to see more! They are breath-taking and so many people have told us how beautiful our pictures came out. We, without doubt, recommend Justin!

or the pictures to get amazing shots! When we met him in person and saw his personality it just made things even better! He is such a kind hearted, funny person who is amazing at photography (and growing an awesome mustache! :D)! And if you want those twinkly fairy light pictures----he's the guy!! He showed us some sneak peeks as he was taking pictures! He knew how important the pictures were and made sure we got all that we wanted even though the traffic made some of it a time crunch! I was so nervous and anxious about it going well and he made me feel so much better about it all! His laid back, care free and humorous personality made the night much less stressful and fun! We could not be happier with Justin and Rick!! Thank you guys so much from the bottom of our hearts. You helped make the night even more amazing!
From the first time we met Justin at a coffee shop to discuss the possibility of hiring him as our wedding photographer, we knew right away that he was so talented and he would be ...
wonderful to work with. Justin well exceeded our expectations for both our engagement pictures and at our wedding day. He is super flexible and helpful. His work is amazing, and he really spends time getting to know every couple he works with. He is a great person and we cannot wait to see our pictures from the wedding. He worked well with our families and guests and was super accommodating. His assistant Robert was also very nice and helpful. I cannot put into words how thankful we are to have worked with Justin. We will now have amazing photos and memories of the best day of our lives.
Working with Justin was an absolute pleasure! He was the first wedding photographer we met with, but after meeting with him, we canceled all of our other appointments. He was so d...
own to earth, and we felt so comfortable right off the bat and during our engagement shoot. The day of the wedding he made everyone feel as comfortable as we did with him and was even teaching some of our bridal party to "floss"! We just got the sneak peak of our pictures, and our family and friends have been raving about how creative and beautiful they are. We can't wait to see the rest!
I cannot put into words how amazing Justin is but I will try! First of all-his pictures are UNBELIEVABLE. So creative, so beautiful, amazing angles, amazing lighting. So far I have...
only received a preview of my photos, but even by these photos I am absolutely blown away. Several people told me that they looked like they were straight out of a fairy tale. Justin made me and my husband (who are both fairly awkward when it comes to posing for photos) very comfortable and was good at staging us to get all the perfect shots. Our engagement session with him was a year ago, he traveled to our location and spent a few hours taking pics which made us comfortable with him and get a taste of his style. The day of he brought a second photographer (Jack?) who was also fantastic. Jack was very funny and made the whole situation feel less tense. Justin was very active during the wedding and got pictures of all the things we needed!
If the preview pics were amazing, I cannot wait to see our full set of pics and our albums! I truly cannot stress how amazing Justin is, BOOK HIM NOW YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! :)
I can’t say enough amazing things about Justin. Justin and I have worked a couple weddings together in which I styled the hair and when it came time to plan my own wedding I knew h...
e was just the guy. He photographed our engagement session last June and the pictures came out fantastic. He made both my husband and myself so comfortable in front of the camera. Fast forward to February and Justin was there to capture our big day. He was incredible yet again. He sent us a sneak peak a few weeks after the wedding and the photos were to die for. We are so excited to see the rest of our photos soon, I know they will be amazing.
We couldn’t have made a better choice in booking Justin as our photographer for our wedding. Not only is he incredibly professional and easy to work with, but he is immensely talen...
ted! He knows so much about lighting and how to create beauty in unexpected places - he is a real artist. One thing that stuck with me from our first meeting was that Justin said he aims for classic photos - he doesn’t follow the current photography trends, he seeks to take photos that are timeless and will never go out of style. And WOW, does he deliver. All of my friends, colleagues, and family have been completely blown away by our photos from our wedding - you get the classic shots you want and need, but also some truly artistic and amazing photos that you will want to print, hang up in your home, and treasure for the rest of your life. Day-of, he and his second shooter arrived early, kept us (and a very large wedding party) incredibly on time, and snuck in some amazing shots throughout the night without taking us away from the party for too long. Justin is the real deal and we couldn’t have been happier with choosing him as our photographer!! Thank you!!! ❤️

the group photos we needed! Can't say enough good things about Justin! He even got us some sneak peak photos within a week!!!!

ssett Beach, Justin made us feel so comfortable and even risked ruining his camera when my crazy husband decided it was a good idea to take pictures in the ocean towards the end of the shoot. Fast forward one year to our wedding day - despite unforeseeable events in his personal life, Justin was on his A game and did not disappoint in capturing every single moment of our big day. He had the entire wedding party laughing throughout all of the posed photos and was great with my 3 and 5 year old nieces. Justin had photographed many weddings at Lake of Isles so he knew all of the perfect spots for photos. Justin shared a ~40 pic sneak peak when we were away on our honeymoon and left us dying to see the entire album. We highly recommend him!
Justin is one of the most talented and genuinely nice people we have ever had the pleasure to meet. When we chose our venue one of the wedding coordinators showed us a photo he had...
taken from a wedding there and we loved it so much we just knew it had to be him. He was the top priority when it came to choosing the wedding date. From the engagement session to the sneak peaks of the wedding photos he has exceeded every expectation. He is so incredibly professional and creative. If you're looking for an amazing photographer look no further!!

nergy and really appreciated his candidness and professionalism. We knew how talented he was when we saw our engagement photos that he took for us. Justin, and his colleague JC, were INCREDIBLE on our wedding day! From the getting ready in the morning to the ceremony to the reception, Justin helped us capture all of the special moments. As with any other wedding, there were challenges, and a little bit of rain, but Justin and JC improvised and knew exactly what to do to ensure that our photos would be perfect. Everyone in our bridal party and guests have given us feedback on how much they all enjoyed Justin and his fun approach to wedding photos. We have since recommended Justin to a few other couples, and are truly happy to support his growing business! Thank you, Justin, and your team, for being such an integral part of our wedding day - for bringing the joy, fun, laughter, creativeness, patience, and so much more! We appreciate you and will be forever grateful!
Justin was an incredible photographer. When we met him for an interview, he was our 2nd interview. After the interview we were walking to the car and I said to my now wife (so we...
are going to use him right?!?). His presentation was incredible and he had a perfect answer for every question we asked him.
He offered us a complimentary engagement photo shoot, and the most important part of the shoot was per Justin, "I want to have this shoot so that I can explain all of my terminology to you before the wedding, so we can be as efficient on the wedding day and not waste time having me try to explain how I want you to position yourselves, so you guys can get the most out of your big day!" I thought that was incredible insight and preperation that I highly appreciated. He also had a great website for pre-wedding ideas we could put as much insight as we wanted. He had a pre-wedding conversation with us for probably an hour to over all the details so we were all on the same page.
Throughout the big day, he and his assistant were so professional and just plain light and fun to be around. They both were very helpful, and his assistant even helped some of my groomsmen with dressing lol. Throughout the big day Justin was always brainstorming ideas of new and creative ways to take advantage of the ballroom space we had to make memorable photos, and he wasn't afraid to get on the floor several times to make beautiful photos.
Overall a great photographer and I would highly recommend him in the future for you photography needs!
Justin did the wedding photography for my brother’s wedding and I immediately knew I wanted him as our photographer as well. Justin is such a dedicated and enthusiastic person, and...
that shows is all his work. Our photos came out absolutely stunning. He knew all the best places in the area for photos and made sure to get some dramatic and unique shots in during the day. We’ve been showing them off to all our friends. I whole heartedly recommend Justin!

hem at ease, and somehow is able to do that while capturing the most beautiful moments! During both our engagement and wedding shoots, Justin did a fabulous job at giving us directions while still intuiting the angles and photos that made us feel comfortable. On the day of our wedding, it was so nice to have already worked with Justin, because we were able to jump right in without wasting precious sunlight! From our “getting ready” pictures, to our first look and family pictures, to pictures during the ceremony and reception, he and Nick captured every important moment. I woke up the next morning without a single picture on my phone, because I knew that our photos were in such good hands with Justin and thus I could focus on being in the moment! It is so clear that he genuinely cares about the finished product. We are so grateful to have had Justin be a part of our special day.

rock and it looks like we are on top of a mountain with the beautiful sunset sky in the background, even though the sun was hidden behind clouds!! Justin doesn't just take beautiful wedding photos, he creates scenes and photos that are above and beyond any weddings pictures we have ever seen before. Justin helped make our day fun and was cracking jokes with our families and wedding party to keep everyone laughing and smiling through our nerves before the ceremony. A friend recommended Justin to us and we are forever grateful!! We have wedding photos that we will cherish forever and we cannot say enough good things about J. Benson Photography!!!!

ographer we could have ever hoped for on our wedding day--but don't. No one photographs like Justin--no one. His use of light will make your photos seem ever present yet other worldly. His intuition guides him to get the shots you definitely want, as well as the shots you didn't even know you did. His compassion and guidance help you to pose for the best photo possible, as well as help your Maid of Honor to fluff your dress and you and your groom to cut your cake, because he knows weddings. I personally have sung at a lot of weddings, and honestly, it's hard to get excited for every single couple, but it isn't for Justin. He treats your day like it's the biggest day of his life, too. By the end of it all, he felt like a friend to me and my husband--a friend who takes life changing photos. I'd say you won't regret hiring him, but by the time you read this, I doubt you'll be able to--my cousin tried to hire him for June 2019 and he's already booked for her date.
I hired Justin to photograph our 18 hours long Vietnamese wedding and he did an incredible job, I can't believe how much energy he has through out the day that energy really rub of...
f on everyone around him and it make everyone very relax in front of the camera. I am a photographer myself and I used to live and work in Connecticut before moving down to Houston, TX and I actually have work with Justin as well as 30-40 other photographers in that area and Justin is simply one of the best. His technical skills with lighting (especially with off camera lighting) and camera skills are excellent and he is also very good at posing the bride and groom, wedding party, group shots so he very versatile in both photojournalism and formal portraiture which are both very important in wedding photography.
Last but not least, there is a saying that you get what you pay for, but with Justin, you'll be getting a lot more than what you pay for, he's actually quite under priced because his talent is quite rare and his work can compete with anyone in the world.
I CANNOT say enough amazing things about Justin! His pictures are stunning. He has the most amazing eye. Places that look simple he turns into incredible backgrounds! On top of his...
incredible work, he is so sweet and easy to work with! Made us feel comfortable right away! I’m so glad we made the decision to have Justin capture our day!

taking amazing pictures, he has such a fun and easy going personality. It really was a lot of fun working with him. Not only did we love working with him but our families couldn’t stop raving about him either! On our wedding day, we had rainy weather which actually produced some pretty spectacular pictures thanks to Justin working his magic. He captured our day perfectly without ever actually being in the way. Never once did I feel overwhelmed with the pictures or his presence. I definitely recommend J.Benson Photography!

geable, and funny! Justin made planning our engagement shoot and wedding day absolutely seamless!! He is quick to respond to questions and never seemed annoyed with how questions we asked! He literally minimized my stress throughout the entire process which is hard to do!
Now flash forward to the day of our wedding......attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, professional, and fun are just a few things that come to mind. Justin and Garret (second shooter) made our day incredible! They let us enjoy every aspect while taking the perfect pictures without disrupting the flow of the day. Justin even chimed in when I asked his opinion on things like my hair-do and what accessories looked best with my dress. Nothing like a professional’s opinion who is constantly around weddings, he really knows his stuff!
Justin was super-fast with providing a sneak peek and let me tell you, his work is ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS!!!! Some quotes from people who have seen the pictures: "Honest to God, these are the prettiest pictures I have ever seen." "I can't even pick a favorite because I love them all." "Your pictures came out perfect, he does great work!" And my own personal quote: I literally cried tears of joy when I saw the pictures, I have never seen such beauty and creativity captured in a picture. I will cherish these forever!
I HIGHLY recommend J. Benson Photography for all your photography needs, in fact, you'd be an absolute fool not to use him!!!

As soon as we met him, we knew we had to hire him! He really is the best of the best. On our wedding day, Justin and his assistant Garrett were like 2 trusted friends capturing our day! Justin kept everyone relaxed and laughing all day, while staying professional and focused, and I loved having him there while the ladies and I got ready! He handled family portraits with ease and organization, and he made it possible for us to just relax and enjoy the day! We trusted him completely, and the sneak peek photos we got are stunning! Justin takes pictures that are timeless and beautiful, so if you want photos to love for a lifetime you should hire him right away! Thanks for everything, Justin! :)

We highly recommend J. Benson Photography. Justin is professional, creative, and really easy to work with. He is laid back and easy going, so you always feel comfortable working wi...
th him. He responded to all of our emails quickly and kept us updated before and after our wedding. We were also impressed by Justin’s ability to organize large family group photos. We’re confident he captured everything! We're so glad he posted a couple teasers on Facebook. Family and friends really loved to see them as much as we did.
