My husband and I were engaged for over two years prior to getting married. We spent a good chunk of the first year of our engagement searching for the perfect photographer to capture our big day. I pored through site after site of reviews, blogs, and sample work every evening. Finally running across the JFiereck site, I realized that this was exactly what we had been looking for all along - and after our very first meeting with Jennifer we could tell right away that the fit was perfect! Jen met us the fall before our wedding to take engagement photos in the park where my husband proposed. My husband is notoriously statue-like in posed photos, and I’m no portrait model myself, so naturally we were both anxious about the appointment. There was absolutely no need to be! Jen knew exactly how to give gentle hints here and there without us ever feeling posed. To this day my husband and I will look at each other and request “smooches!!”, smiling at the memory of the awesome time we had with Jen taking those shots! We asked Jen to shoot our Madison Beach Hotel wedding and reception with a fellow shooter and assistant (shout out to Ashley and Kassandra!) because we wanted to be able to capture more than one perspective at any given moment. Jen and her team were prompt, and just as excited as us on our wedding day! The team captured every emotion throughout the day, seeming to move completely intuitively and in sync with my husband and I. They were able to easily wrangle our massive number of family members into taking all the photos we wanted prior to the ceremony (easing the extreme type A personality of mine). Jen even worked with us to beautifully capture a small surprise for our guests: a fire spinner! A few months before our wedding, Jen sent an email recommending a videographer should any of her clients be interested/need one. We had held off on hiring one, but jumped at the chance to work with Nathan Oldham, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Jen and Nathan worked perfectly in tandem to create amazing, thoughtful work. Thanks Nathan! We are so immensely happy with the photos we received just a short time after our wedding. We love looking back at all the moments, small or large, that Jen was able to capture for us. As a long distance bride planning a wedding in my hometown, it takes a team. My then fiance and I met with Jen for the first time at her beautiful studio and immediately felt as though we'd all known each other for years. Key points about Jen and her operation is that her business is truly a labor of love. She chose to become a FT photographer and her energy and excitement is tangible. She radiates when discussing lighting, venues, new ideas, and original thoughts, which is helpful for a couple that doesn't know or quite frankly care for such things! What sold us was that Jen openly admitted in our introductory meeting that there needs to be a good chemistry between couples and their photogs. My husband and I looked at a few photographers and when we looked at J.Fiereck's website we were hooked. We went with Brandi due to seeing her work and reading her bio. She seemed like she would be fun to work with as well as being able to capture all our special moments. And we wer right. She was so accommodating since we were planning from out of state. We had a skype interview and was very detailed. The day of the wedding she and her assistant were great! She guided us through everything and helped keep us on time. Choosing J. Fiereck Photography was the easiest decision we made throughout the whole wedding planning process. Best decision ever! We worked with Brandi for our engagement and wedding photos. Not only are the photos AMAZING, but the entire process from start to finish was smooth and stress-free. Before the wedding, Jen did a site visit of our wedding venue and made an itinerary for the day. She made the day less stressful because of this! Jennifer and Brandi were AMAZING photographers to have on my wedding day. Jen did an amazing job photographing our wedding and engagement session this summer. We couldn't be happier with the pictures from both events! Jen was so easy to work with and had a way of making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her wedding packages were also very reasonably priced compared to some others in the area. I believe we received our engagement photos in a matter of days, and our wedding photos were online within just three weeks! Jen was always right there to catch every shot, but yet you never noticed her unless you were looking for her. All of our shots turned out great, and we are not photogenic people! Portraits were well positioned, we had great guidance, and looked relaxed. My husband even commented that he was not expecting to have so much fun at both our engagement session and wedding pictures. Jen was nice, friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about her work and genuinely wanted to make our day the best day possible. Jen went above and beyond what I had expected our photographer to do. Jen photographed our wedding in September 2014. As soon as we met with Jen we knew she was the one we were going to use. She was straight forward, very organized, and extremely talented (based on photo albums viewed). She took the time to come visit the Church and reception site which made me feel more comfortable that everything would go smoothly the day of the wedding. When the big day finally came she was one time and got right to work. She did a great job of capturing moments that were candid and not staged. The entire day went so smoothly because of the detailed itinerary that she provided. She was very creative with her pictures ideas which created some amazing photos. She captured all the special moments of the day and all those unexpected amazing moments. We received the pictures in 6 weeks which was pretty quick in my opinion. There were over 800 pictures taken that day that came out beautifully. I would definitely recommend Jen and her team to any bride getting married. They were definitely a very important part of making our wedding unforgettable.

The final product was perfect, and on top of this, we also just enjoyed having these photographers as a part of our special day. First of all, THANK YOU to Jen and her staff for everything. After our initial visit with Jen we knew, she's one in a million. Our engagement shoot was so much fun, we got to know Jen and she learned a lot about us a couple. When seeing the photos from the engagement shoot we were thrilled with how well they came out, and to have them as our guest book was an even better idea! We met with Jen for a brief run down of family pictures and how we wanted the day to go, and let me tell you... it went fabulous. Jen and her staff were absolute perfection, they kept the entire bridal party on time, organized and excited throughout the night, they were discretely capturing every touching and sentimental moment along with the many laughs of the night. My husband and I do not even know were to start with J.Fiereck Photography! We just got married August 17,2014. When we first fist started searching for a photographer in our area, we were overwhelmed each photographers photos looked better then the next. We went on four interviews before we decided on our photographer, and let me tell you we made the best decision and could not be happier!After meeting with Jen we knew right away she was the one, not only was her work amazing but as a person she is so down to earth. She included our engagement photos in our wedding package, and even came to us for the photos. On our wedding day Jen and her team went above and beyond to get the best photos they could. We are very happy we hired Jennifer Fiereck and company for our wedding. It was a tough decision with all the photographers out there but if you want the best, she is it! She is great to work with! She is very dedicated to profession and it's clear she loves what she does! We loved that most of the time you didn't even know she was there, yet she captured beautiful pictures! It's great not to have "in your face" all the time. She has great vision and ideas for photographs. We got married on May 31, 2014 and booked Jennifer over two years ago. It has been a pleasure and an honor to work with Jennifer. She is worth every penny before we even got to our wedding day. Jennifer is responsive to e-mails and phone calls, and is very flexible (especially for out-of-town brides). Our engagement session was so much fun, and when we saw the pictures...WOW. She did such a great job that it was so hard to pick pictures. And then at the wedding, she was nothing but an amazing photographer and person. My husband and I had Jennifer and her team photograph our engagement shoot and our wedding day. For the engagement shoot, my husband and I were photographed at Hartford's town hall. I was very impressed by Jennifer and her team's ability to work with the different lighting and scenery. We aren't the most comfortable couple with taking photos, but Jennifer made the time very enjoyable, which translates to the beautiful photos. The engagement shoot was included in our wedding package and Jennifer used our favorite photos from the shoot to put together our guest book. Before the wedding, Jennifer was very prepared and we created a detailed itinerary of the day and photos that we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Jennifer photographed my bridesmaids and myself getting ready. She was genuinely excited and made sure to capture key moments and details. Her assistant, Brandi, photographed my husband and his groomsmen getting ready and also did a fantastic job. Jennifer's team was very professional during our ceremony and made sure to capture the important moments, as well as some great candids. At our reception at The Riverivew, the team did an incredible job capturing the happiness of all of our guests and the beautiful setting. I received my finished photos ahead of Jennifer's given timeline and they are all stunning. Jennifer and her team are all hard workers and are very talented.

She and her team are amazing. She is quick to get back to you. She meets you ahead of time at your wedding site to plan out pictures so you don't waste time on your wedding day. On the day of the wedding, she and her team were on time and organized. She made everyone feel comfortable and special. She is also very quick at getting your final pictures back. My husband and I used Joanne Vandal of J. Fiereck Photography to capture our big day. She was, by far, our favorite vendor of the day, for so many reasons. She was incredibly professional - we appreciated the quick and open communication, and she was great at listening to exactly what we wanted and adding her input. She is also SO MUCH FUN! It was very important to us that we work with someone who made us feel comfortable - Joanne's easy-going attitude and awesome sense of humor helped do that. We were totally comfortable working with her, and that shows in our photos. She was the easiest vendor for us to book - immediately after leaving our first meeting with her, we both knew we wanted to work with her. The photos were delivered on time, and were displayed in an online gallery that we were able to share with our friends and family, which also has an easy-to-use app (so now I can stare at my beautiful pictures on my phone all day). We were also given the rights to our photos, which was very important to us. The photos themselves are gorgeous. We had such a tough time choosing our favorites to hang around the house and send to family members. We would whole-heartedly recommend Joanne and J. Fiereck to any couple looking to beautifully capture their big day!

I love love LOVE Jen. Her personality and down-to-earth attitude made her an ABSOLUTE delight to work with. She really made it easy for me to not have anything to worry about anything from our engagement shoot to the wedding day. From our first meeting with her we just clicked right away. Her love and passion for photography makes me want to be a photographer! She is very flexible with negotiations for her packages, meeting times and returned all emails/calls within 24 hours. She showed up on time and was exactly where I needed her to be all night. I was so sad when it came time for her to leave! We also booked our photo booth through Jen as she does have a package for that, which includes an attendant. There were tons of props included in the photo booth and I actually ended up using a second print from it for people to make into our guest book. We recently received our pictures back and I was over the moon with Jen’s work and the pictures. I actually get choked up looking through all of the images just remembering how amazing the day was! I was fortunate enough to work with Joanne from J. Fiereck Photography for my wedding and am so pleased with her work. When I first talked with Joanne on the phone I just felt like we clicked, and she completely understood my vision for our wedding. One of my favorite things about working with her was the pre-wedding site visit included in the package. We were able to meet at our wedding location a few weeks before the wedding and walk around the ceremony and reception areas to plan out the best places for our first look and photos. And she was great about getting all the details on the necessary family/bridal party photos and the timing so we could get them done in a timely fashion before the ceremony. Having this all planned out ahead of time really eased my stress on the day of! It was a long 6 week wait to get the photos but well worth it in the end. They are beautiful and we have received so many compliments from friends and family. Would highly recommend J. Fiereck and specifically their associate photographer, Joanne!

We just received our wedding pictures and they only confirm how pleased we were to work with Jen and her team. Jen is easy to work with, an expert, and professional at all times. She has an eye for beauty and creativity. She and her team are amazing. They make you laugh and feel comfortable in front of the camera. We never knew they were at the reception although we have lots of pictures to prove that they were. There wasn't a camera in your face, yet they captured great shots. Amazing, amazing, amazing! I never had a problem reaching or communicating with Jen and the package pricing is fair and reasonable, but she shoots better photos than other wedding photographers, which is why we chose J. Fiereck Photography. She knows what she is doing and this makes it easy for the bride and groom as it is one less thing to worry about. And, you receive your photos within 6 weeks after your wedding. We couldn't be any happier that we chose J. Fiereck to capture such an important and beautiful day in our lives.

A beautiful wedding takes alot of planning, hard work and pouring over details for a day that lasts only about 6 hours, and the time flies by. Besides memories your wedding pictures will be the only thing that last forever. So brides I recommend putting as much research into your photographer as you do anything else in your wedding!! That said my husband and I did alot of research and met with at least 10 different photographers. When I left the initial meeting with Jennifer Fierick I literally had butterflies in my stomache and told my husband we had found the one!!! lol Chemistry between a couple and thier wedding photographer is very important, it's not something you can fake and this is the one person you will be spending your whole wedding day with...well besides your future spouse lol. Jennifer makes you so at ease with the camera and lets the couple be themselves not try to conform you to what pictures YOU SHOULD have. She has a quite unobtrusive demeanor bur dont let that fool you she's constantly thinking "Hey what could we do next?" She has a particular eye for intersting angles and light which lends itself to amazing pictures of you special day. I had very specific ideas of some things that I wanted and she ran with it and gave us feedback with some of her ideas. Her albums and products are second to none. They are beautiful and stunning and unique to all the other cookie cutter albums out there and yes people you want an album not just a drive with photos on them!!! She was awesome at my wedding very attentive and helpful with the bride and groom and the wedding party and she did all this without us even realizing she was even there. After the wedding she helped us out a great deal with putting together our album as well. I am a freelance artist in my nonprofessinal life so I have high expectations when it comes to visual products and design. Jennifer went above and beyond those expectations. She was open to my whacky ideas evn when it came to the engagement photo shoot....PS we are the couple on her blog the went to NYC for our engagement pictures. Like I said she is up for anything and has the talent to back it up. I would recommend Jennifer Fierick to any bride who wants her day to be remembered by beautiful artistic photography!!!!We fell in love with Jen and I am sure you will too!!!

When I met Jennifer I had booked three appointments with photographers. As soon as I met her, I was sure of my decision and cancelled the other two appointments. Right off the bat she was down to earth, genuine and put me totally at ease - something that was really important to me since I've always hated having my picture taken! After seeing her work online and in person there was no doubt she was the right fit for us after meeting her. We were not looking for engagement photos, but I'm so happy we went ahead and did them (included in our package) because it really got us comfortable for the big day. Our pictures came out beautiful, and also included in our package was a guest book with our photos for our wedding day. She also includes a site visit to your wedding location, which was so helpful to have a plan of where we wanted photos taken throughout the day. Just so much hands-on time really made such a difference for everything to run smooth on the big day. We had made lots of plans for outdoor photos, and of course it poured the whole morning/afternoon of our wedding day (a tornado even touched down in town) but she did a great job with the indoor photos - in fact, I like them so much, I'm glad now that we got to take them there as well. She was such a trooper, as soon as the rain started to lighten up, she loaded us all up in her SUV and we took photos down on the dock where we had planned -and she was right the photos came out beautiful with an overcast sky. As the rain started and the girls went back inside, she still stayed out with the guys to take some photos in another great location. Our photos are so beautiful, I was in awe when I saw them all, and with how quickly we received them. She literally captured everything I didn't want to forget, and so many things I didn't see. Our wedding albums also came out beautiful. Jennifer was so professional and just so easy to work with throughout the whole process, I definitely know I made the best choice, and would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone else looking. We found Jen through a friend of ours who used her as their wedding photographer. We were picking between a couple of photographers but ended up choosing her. I do not regret this decision at all! She is so professional and really looks out for what the couple wants for their photos. The day of she is super calm and relaxed and the best person to have around on your big day. My husband and I used J.Fiereck Photography for our wedding this past June. We had a wonderful experience! From the beginning Jen was super friendly, easy to talk with and a pleasure to work with. When we met Jen at our initial consultation, I knew that we had to use her to photograph our wedding. Her work was beautiful, and she seemed just as excited about our wedding as we were! Jen and her team were fantastic! They kept the day moving along. We used their services for 10 hours and they captured every great moment of the day. Her team was very professional but also kept it light and fun for us all. My pictures are so amazing! Overall really happy we decided to go with J. Fiereck. In my opinion, the photographer is the most important aspect of a wedding and after interviewing many of them and seeing her portfolio we absolutely had to go with J. Fiereck. Her prices compare to many photographers but her photos stand out as being the best. We also are very pleased with our engagement session. My wife and I decided to take a very untraditional route. We wanted a very intimate and private wedding ceremony that was special to us and memorable. So we decided to have a wedding ceremony on her parent's boat anchored out on the Connecticut River at our favorite sunset spot. We had 12 guests on a 31' boat and space was limited. After emailing a couple photographers providing details of our plans, Jennifer responded quickly and was eager to find out more details of our plan. Just by one conversation over the phone, we knew instantly that Jennifer had a passion for creativity and she would be perfect for the job. Communication between Jennifer was superb. She always kept in contact and responded within 24 hours. Every step of the process leading up to the wedding day was painless and we knew exactly what to expect and when. She arrived at the boat dock on time and without any additional directions. We had the pleasure of getting to know Jennifer throughout the wedding ceremony. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating that day and we had to wait until the rain clouds passed by, but it offered everyone a chance to socialize and have Jennifer capture some great candid moments. Everyone loved Jennifer's personality and she fit right in with the crowd. Jennifer had an extreme challenge trying to capture the moments of all the guests in such a small space, yet with her creative eye she managed to take amazing shots. When the wedding ceremony was over, we knew that Jennifer was excited to go back home to see the special moments she captured. We were shocked that within 3 weeks she had all the pictures ready for us to view. We met with Jennifer twice, once before and once after the wedding day. When we couldn't find time where our schedules aligned, she went out of her way to accommodate our schedule. We are extremely pleased with the services she provided and of course the photographs! We found J. Fiereck Photography through a friend of ours. My husband and I felt that our wedding photographer was the most important vendor to choose considering they would be capturing the most important moment of our life. When we looked at Jen's work samples online, we were so impressed. After meeting with her in person, we knew she was it! She was so professional and extremely down to earth. She made us feel so comfortable. Prior to the wedding, we did an engagement shoot in Wickham Park. Jen created a guest book for our wedding that included all of the pictures from the shoot. On our wedding day, Jen had two photographers with her. It was perfect considering we had a good size wedding party, so they got so many beautiful pictures of the girls and guys getting ready for the wedding. During the wedding, we never really noticed they were there- yet they captured so many great shots! A few weeks after our day, we received our online gallery. We were surprised to see almost 1,000 pictures and every single one was absolutely beautiful. From the flowers, to our shoes and wedding programs, they didn't miss a detail. We had a hard time choosing our wedding album considering we had so many to choose from. We are so thankful we chose J. Fiereck Photography to capture our wedding day!
