Our wedding reception at J.Liu of Worthington was absolutely beautiful! Rita was our coordinator and she was incredible! Any questions we had she answered promptly and she was so kind to place arrangements and decor that I made from home for the reception! The night of our wedding reception was one to remember it was as if we walked right into a fairytale. The staff was outstanding and so accommodating to our guests needs. The food was absolutely delicious! The chef’s accommodated all of the food allergies present. The night ran so smoothly that all of our guests continue to rave about what an amazing time they had. If you are looking for an establishment that will work to make your dream wedding a reality this is it! A+++

We had the most wonderful wedding and reception at JLiu! Rita, the wedding coordinator was awesome and the staff was great. We did an evening wedding on the dance floor with cocktails and dinner following. All of our guests had a great time and continue to comment on how great the food was and what a great time they had. The prices were great and I did get dressed at the venue. Highly recommended!!

Had our wedding reception there in August and while it went off well for the most part there were a few things that could have been handled better. Such as when I was told I could go view my linen selections at Got you Covered but Rita had never communicated with them before my appt like she had promised so my linen color wasnt even there to view. But the biggest and most frustrating thing was when we cut out 2 tables the week of and I told Rita which ones on the layout I wanted removed, I expected my layout to follow those instructions and tables to stay where I had wanted. But when we got to our reception we found that not only had the layout had been changed but the table numbers had been moved around as well. As a result my in-laws had been placed in the back corner(my family had also been placed in a different corner)and believed it had been my intention to put them there, resulting in some resentment for the first half of our reception. I communicated this to the catering manager later in the night as Rita had left without saying goodbye and was promised that she would follow up with me as to why I hadn't been consulted on the change of layout and why she had moved the order of my table numbers but I never got a call or apology. The staff also started to through away peoples names that I had had last cut as a keepsake before the reception was even over. Very disappointing. I will compliment them on having a great bar staff though, everyone has commented on how professional and friendly the bartender was.

Rita and her staff are AMAZING!! I honestly can’t say one negative thing about our wedding and reception at J Liu. SO many of our guest have told us it was one of if not the best wedding they have ever been to. Rita was amazing from day one, she worked with me for over a year planning our wedding. She answered EVERY question I had, she walked us through and helped us out along the way of our planning...from day one she was perfect! I honestly can’t thank her enough for bringing my dream wedding to life. Her staff was polite, professional, fun, SO nice and helpful....they truly made us feel like we were top priority. The food was amazing, the venue is amazing, the staff is amazing....there was not one thing we were disappointed with. Everything was perfect...all because of Rita and her staff! I can’t thank them all enough ❤️

Absolutely beautiful and a perfect venue! My (now) wife and I picked out J. Liu 18 months before our wedding. We were looking for some key things: 1) The venue needed to look beautiful 2) We needed to be able to host the ceremony and reception at the same place 3) most of our guests are not familiar with Columbus/Worthington, so we were looking for a place that was going to find. J. Liu was a perfect fit for for all of our criteria. The ballroom is beautiful on its own and the decoration options available make it even more so. J. Liu is also located just inside of 270 on 23 which meant that none of our guests would struggle to find it. Add in that there are plenty of hotels available at Crosswoods, just down the road and it was even better. They've also done many ceremony/reception combos and they know how flip the ballroom from ceremony to reception in about an hour; which is a perfect amount of time to take family pictures and recoup prior to the reception starting. The food and drink options available were also top-notch. We did a plated dinner, and the food was incredible. There are many options to pick from and it was tough to do because it was all so good. So many of our guests brought up that they loved the food, something I don't recall being said at any of the weddings I went to this past year. Also, some advice; get the House Salad at your tasting, you and your guests will love it! J. Liu's event coordinator, Rita, was amazing to work with. She met with us many times over the past 18 months to help us figure out what we wanted for the wedding. Discussing table options, arrangement of the room for the ceremony/reception, the type of chair and linen options. I think if we were left on our own to sort this stuff out it would have been overwhelming, but Rita guided us through and we kept our sanity. Rita also went above and beyond to make sure my wife's ideas were realized. When we weren't certain exactly how some table cloth colors would look together from the swatches available. So, Rita arranged a meeting with us and with J. Liu's linen vendor to look at the table cloths on an actual table. Our wedding was pretty much perfect. J. Liu, including Rita and her staff, were a big part of making it such a wonderful evening and I can't thank them enough for their effort in making it so.

We knew from the tour that J Liu was THE place we wanted for our Wedding Reception! The venue coordinator Rita was wonderful, and very helpful in the planning process. Our reception was beautiful, and we created amazing memories with our friends and family!

J Liu and Rita were wonderful to work with leading up to and during the wedding. They really did everything to make us feel special, and we truly cannot say enough nice things about Rita (J Liu’s event coordinator); she went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order and was very friendly. One of the things we loved about choosing J Liu for our wedding and reception was the fact that we didn’t have worry about contacting several different companies for the various parts that go into a wedding: J Liu handled the food, alcohol, staffing, lighting, linens, tables, chairs, set up, tear down, and coordination. It was perfect.

After visiting a dozen venues we found Jlui. As we waiting to go upstairs we decided to have a bite to eat and our decision was made to have our wedding at Jlui. Seems crazy to think after trying the food never seeing the location we made our decision. Once we were lead to the reception location, our decision was confirmed. Absolutely wonderful! August 18, was the best day ever. Definitely the best bang for you bucks! The staff was extreme helpful from planning period until the main event. The food was magnificent. Serve was very orderly and proficient. I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else! Thank you for making this special occasion so memorable.

We love J.Liu! From our first meeting with Rita, the wedding coordinator, we knew we chose the right spot. Everything went perfect. Food was excellent, staff was great. The ballroom was perfect for hosting our guest of 65 people. The price very reasonable. Our special day couldn't have gone any better. Highly recommend!!

The best thing was that Rita was very genuine and helpful through out the whole process even before we booked anything. She helped us from small details to big picture questions. The place is already so beautiful and magical and I definitely would like to make this a restaurant to go to regularly and recommend all of my friends to have their weddings here. There is a park really close by to take pictures and the staff were very friendly as well.

Where to even start... J. Liu was the absolute best choice for us for our wedding. I was looking for a place to have both our ceremony and reception, with in-house catering, all while having to do as little of the work myself as possible. J. Liu was above and beyond everything I could have hoped for. We had our tasting (with guests) with Rita and used that time to pick out all of our decor. We paid for the upgraded package to have linens, centerpieces, cake stand and cake cutting, etc. included and that was worth it. Rita’s attention to detail was amazing, and she consistently went above and beyond for us. I had a lot of questions through the process and she was always very quick to reply, regardless of how often I emailed or how many questions I had. She was present on the day of our wedding as well to ensure everything was going as planned. If I had to do it all over again, I would absolutely go back to J. Liu! I also wanted to add that J. Liu invited us back for a free dinner to thank us for our business. They covered our entrees, and provided a free dessert and champagne toast. They really know how to do business!

I'm so happy I chose J.Liu for our wedding. Planning the event was so easy and affordable. We hosted our ceremony and reception there and the event coordinator Rita transformed the room beyond our expectation. We went with a brunch reception which turned out to be a guest favorite. The food was absolutely amazing my guest raved about it. It is the perfect venue if you are looking for an intimate event. Thank you for making our day magical.

J. Liu was everything we hoped it would be for our wedding and reception! Everyone was super helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it to be. My daughter was married here at J Lui in Worthington on October 27th 2017 .. It was the best night couldn’t have asked for anything any better!! Rita was the bomb and the rest of the staff bent over backwards to make this an easy and stress free experience!!! It worked!! We got married here, ceremony and reception, on October 14th, 2017, and *everything* went off without a hitch. Rita, the events coordinator, is a true professional. Communication during the planning stages was excellent. Our emails and phone calls were returned very promptly, and Rita answered *every single question* that I had... and I had very many. :-) So many of our guests remarked on how well our event was run. The space was the perfect size for our event (~145 people), and coordination with our vendors (florist, cake, DJ) was seamless. Rita was so helpful with the little things. For example, our placecard table also doubled as the favors table (once the reception was underway), and Rita setup the table for us, with 3 different favors, beautifully! Kudos to the rest of the event staff, the servers and bartenders for their professionalism. The food was delicious, and the salad (mixed greens with strawberry, bacon and walnuts) was a huge hit. J. Liu was kind enough to allow us to pickup our decor and other items the next day, as we could not take everything with us at the end of the reception. Top notch! Book your wedding here. You will not be disappointed.

Our wedding reception was wonderful thanks to J. Liu and the awesome staff. It was perfect for our smaller wedding. The food was delicious -- everything tasted fresh and cooked just for our party. The head chef came to meet us on the night if the food tasting and gave us great recommmendations and was able to make special accommodations for our guests with food allergies. The J. Liu staff was friendly, accommodating, and hard working. Special thanks to Rita for her patience and positive, caring attitude. She was easy to work with and went above and beyond to make our wedding day memorable.

10 stars for J. Liu in Worthing!! We had our wedding reception at J. Liu, and I would not change a thing! Rita was fantastic to work with, and so accommodating. The food was delicious, and the staff truly catered to the bride and groom and our immediate families to ensure we were having a wonderful time and enjoying our day. The reception was entirely set-up and cleaned up by the staff, which really made our day that was smoother so we could enjoy the moments that mattered and not stress over the details.

From the day we booked the venue, we knew we’d made a great selection with J.Liu. My fiancé (now wife) and I had the hardest time finding a venue that would accommodate a smaller sized wedding ceremony and reception. With a guest count of just under fifty people, many venues aren’t willing to book the space for a ceremony or reception without a hefty upcharge to meet the minimum. Thankfully, unlike several venues in central Ohio, J.Liu came to the rescue and provided a beautiful ballroom to accommodate both events at an affordable price. Not only was the staff attentive and helpful, but the event coordinator Rita guided us along every step of the way, from the arrangement of tables and decor, to the orchestration of the big day itself. Without her, this clueless groom wouldn’t have made it through the wedding without losing his mind! Leading up to the big day, Rita answered our emails and phones calls immediately, every time, and put our minds at ease during the often stressful planning phase. She’s great. As mentioned earlier, we had both our ceremony and reception in the upstairs ballroom of J.Liu. During the ceremony the room is partitioned in half, allowing for the traditional rows of chair on either side of the aisle. And more importantly, allowing room and space for the bride to walk down the aisle. The ceremony went off without a hitch, followed by an hour of photographs while the guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. There are several places to take great photos, including two balconies and an outdoor grassy area near a tall tree. Still waiting on the finished product at this point, but we believe the photos turned out great. On to the food. Go eat it. It’s delicious. My mouth is actually watering now just thinking about it. After an hour of photos we were simply ready to eat. At first glance the menu may seem a little strange with the fusion of Asian inspired dishes paired with more traditional Italian faire. Although the selection varies enough for you to stick with a certain theme, we chose to offer our guests entrees on both side of the spectrum, with an Asian beef dish and an Italian Chicken with red sauce. Honestly we were nervous about the odd choice in entrees before the wedding, but it turned out great and all of guests enjoyed their entrees, perhaps myself most of all. The wait staff and bartender were personable, friendly, and quick. After dinner came the cake cutting, dancing, and general comradery. Once again Rita was there, making sure everything went smoothly. And it did. The night was perfect, and we’ll have fond memories of the entire experience for the rest of our lives. Thanks again to all the staff at J.Liu, and the wonderful Rita!

We recently had our son's rehearsal dinner at J. Liu of Worthington and couldn't have been happier with the venue all around! The help we received from Rita, the wedding coordinator/planner, and her assistant, Candace, was amazing! They were so helpful and patient, and truly were accommodating with additions and requests along the way. The 43 guests raved about the delicious food at the buffet, the service we received from Steve and his staff during the event, and the lovely room! They were able to make accommodations for our vegan guests and toddlers too! It could not have gone any better! If you are looking for a rehearsal dinner venue, J. Liu will not disappoint! Make it your choice and check that worry off your list. Thank you, J. Liu, for making our first wedding/rehearsal experience so special!

J Liu was so wonderful to work with! Rita, the coordinator, treated us like family. The staff was so easy to work with and was always timely with a response with any question I had! The venue was able to accommodate our 200 guest wedding and not to mention, the food was amazing! I would recommend J Liu to any bride and groom looking to have a seamless wedding reception!

I could go on and on about how amazing J.liu was. Throughout the whole planning process, Rita, the event coordinator was warm, honest, and so easy to work with. She never pressured us to make decisions we didn't want to and went the extra mile with everything. When the reception came it was even more amazing than I had expected. Everything worked flawlessly. We had a wonderful experience at J. Liu's for our wedding. Hilary and Rita were very professional and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything the way we wanted it for our day. The wedding planning process is so overwhelming but Hilary helped break it all down into smaller, easier decisions. She was very upfront about pricing and guided us on how to get the biggest bang for our buck. For example, we went with a Buffett and one of the items included were spring rolls. Hilary suggested they could serve those during the cocktail hour at no extra cost so we didn't have to pay extra for appetizers. We had our ceremony there, followed by cocktail hour for our guests while we did pictures and the staff set up for the reception. Everything went smoothly and our guests were very impressed by the venue, the servers, and the food was delicious! It's a beautiful space, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for an all-inclusive wedding venue.

My fiancé and I hosted our wedding reception in the ballroom of J.Liu of Worthington. We worked with Hilary Mcintyre who was awesome to work with! She was very informative about all of the details which was very important to me. She was also very responsive and easy to work with which kept my stress level down throughout the planning process. Wow!!! J. Lui’s in Worthington was exceptional. We held our daughter’s wedding ceremony and reception there in the grand ballroom and everything was perfect. I’m truly thankful and have sincere gratitude for the event coordinator Hilary McIntyre it was a pleasure working with her. Words can’t express how much I appreciate her assistance in helping me put my daughter’s wedding ceremony and reception together in such a short amount of time. I first met with Hilary to tour the venue on August 5th, 2016. I was initially only seeking a large enough venue to have an intimate dinner with family and friends following my daughter’s chapel ceremony schedule for September 25, 2016. However, my decision to host both the wedding ceremony and reception at J Lui’s was a no brainer after meeting with Hilary. Her suggestion of partitioning half of the ballroom for the ceremony and half for the reception was perfect for the type and size of wedding my daughter wanted small, intimate, and elegant. Plus the September 25, 2016 date was available and the price was more than reasonable. This was my first time planning a wedding and my experience working with Hillary was very positive. Hilary was very professional, and was consistent at providing prompt responses to all my questions and concerns, she even took the time to create a wedding/reception timeline for me, which was priceless especially for someone like me who had no experience at planning a wedding. She was very flexible about our menu choices and even permitted us to bring the brides requested appetizer to the reception for the guest to enjoy during the cocktail hour. The wedding ceremony, and the reception décor was so much more than what I could have imagined; the decoration and set-up was 10 times better than what I envisioned. This was our first time eating at J. Liu’s and the food and the staff were amazing. The bride and groom were both really pleased with everything, and told me thank you several times throughout the evening. Even the guest had nothing but great things to say about the food, ceremony, and the venue. The wedding and reception was beautiful and we loved everything about it. I would highly recommend your venue to others looking for a fantastic place to host a wedding ceremony and/or reception. We actually held our rehearsal dinner at J. Liu of Dublin, Ohio and it was great! We were given a private room with personalized service. Teresa Weinheimer was very helpful putting this together for us. The food was good, and we got several compliments from our guests how much they enjoyed it. I cannot wait to go back there for dinner soon!

My husband and I hosted a Beach Themed Post Wedding Reception at The Ballroom of J.Liu of Worthington, for our son & his wife, who had a destination wedding in May 2016. We had several meetings with Hilary McIntyre, Director of Private Events & Catering. Hilary had a very positive attitude, highly professional, and was very confident in what she does, but most importantly, she always wore a SMILE! She made us feel secure and comfortable, that we made the right choice for a venue as special as this one. Hilary was quick and very detailed with addressing emails regarding questions, concerns, or requests that we had. If she was out of the office, her assistant, Rita Gonzalez was there to answer questions and concerns. Hilary is patient, very flexible, and catered to our needs and more. Our reception received fabulous reviews from our guests.Everything that was agreed upon in the event order, were in place. The ambiance of the ballroom was exceptionally classy. The appetizers did not look as impressive as I had thought, but they were delicious. The buffet spread looked abundant and the food was delicious, as well. Hats off to the very efficient crew of servers, bartenders, General Manager- Jeral; Assistant Manager-Eddie; Banquet Captain-Zach. I highly commend them for being courteous, friendly, and attentive to our needs and the needs of our guests. All we can say over and over again is; it was worth every minute of our time, as we saw how our guests had such a wonderful time in the 4-5 hours, they were at J.Liu. We received mostly, positive reviews ourselves on how much fun our guests had at this post wedding reception. Most importantly, my son and his wife were very impressed!

We hosted our wedding reception here July 3, 2016. The staff from beginning to end were very helpful and pleasant to work with. Particularly Rita and Hilary, both very responsive to emails and phone calls. Our guests were very impressed with the venue and their dinner entrees. The staff during the reception were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend.

Hilary and everyone at J Liu made sure our experience on our wedding day was amazing! We were lucky enough to be able to come in Friday to decorate the hall and Hilary was there for last minute questions and ideas! The food was awesome, the venue was gorgeous and the service was amazing! Such an awesome venue!

Our reception was incredible. Hilary, the coordinator, was super easy to work with and she is so good at what she does! I was too stressed before the day to plan specifically what our table decorations would be, so I put them all in a box and told her to go for it! She did an amazing job!! Everyone complimented the ballroom, the food, the servers, everything! I highly recommend J. Liu-- you are in great hands! We are so appreciative of everything!

Reception venue: We went with J.Liu because of the larger capacity it could hold. The sales representative, Hilary, was great with follow up and answering questions we had. Originally they told us b/c of our party size (210-250 in the original quote) they could not offer anything but buffet style (easy to cook for that many people at one time). After emailing back and forth, they finally allowing us to do family style dinner , due to the fact that there would not be a room for people to line up for food. At the dinner, I would say they did not offer enough food per serving/guest. My bridal party (4 plus me) did not feel like the food amount was adequate for just the four of us. Upon asking a bunch of our guests, they all said the food was very little (even though we had 7 course meal), and many went home feeling hungry. (We are big eaters, and not much drinkers). I was quite embarrassed, but what done is done. Half of the guests did not like the food very much, while the other half did. Also, the last dish on our menu was way over cooked. I tried one and completely taken back (I am by no mean a picky eater). It was a seafood dish, completely overcooked to the mushy point. I originally asked if guests did not finish the food, can they pack to go? They told me NO. Why? I PAID for the food for my guests, if they want to pack to go b/c wasting food is never OK in my book. They told me it's the restaurant's "law". I had eaten here before and had leftovers, asked to go, and they gave me boxes just like any other restaurant. So this rule is ridiculous. Also, this was family style dinner, NOT buffet. Also there were guests called me the next day telling me that some of the bartenders and servers were rude to them when they asked for utensils, of those guests including my own mother (She asked for a spoon so she could eat rice with. The server rudely told her no and refused to get a spoon for her. Had I known this, I would be demanding gratuity back. Just because I was automatically charged for tips, does not mean they are allowed to treat my guests however they want since tips was guaranteed). I would not recommend J.Liu to be honest, if I could redo my reception. Find somewhere else with better service and food. We spent a LOT of money here. It was not cheap in my opinion, and I was embarrassed from the way my guests were served.

I don't think I could say enough about how amazing our reception was on Sept 19, 2015. Every detail was perfect. Scott the coordinator took over in the middle of planning and executed everything. The night was perfect and it was all because of the staff and bartenders.

My husband and I were originally going to elope, this was a our second marriage and we didn't want to make it a big deal. Our families eventually convinced us to have your traditional ceremony and reception...it was somewhat last minute and we only had 4 months to get everything planned. If it weren't for J Liu's flexibility and understanding of our situation we never would have been able to pull it together.We were even able to hold the ceremony in J Liu's ballroom which ended up being perfect! They were even able to provide us a list of local vendors that were accommodating to our last minute requests which made things much easier than we were expecting. It was a night to remember and my husband and I are so grateful for all the help J Liu was able to provide us, we couldn't be happier with the turn out and would definitely recommend having your wedding reception AND/OR ceremony at J Liu!! This past July my husband and I got married in Worthington and had our reception at J Liu. Our experience was beyond amazing!! From the very beginning of the planning process to the very end of the night of our reception. Scott and his staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. They were organized, efficient, personable and understanding of all of our needs and requests.Then there's the ballroom...oh my gosh! It was gorgeous. Our guests especially loved the terrace that overlooks High Street. Our out of town guests also loved how many hotels were near by which was very convenient. Overall my hubby and I would definitely recommend going to J Liu!!

Had an amazing evening celebrating my grandmothers birthday last Friday. I called ahead to see if special arrangements could be made to accommodate our large group. Alexis and her catering staff exceeded our expectations. The food and atmosphere went hand in hand with excellent service.My grandmother felt special and we couldn't have asked for a better outcome. As we were leaving the owner came up to grandma, gave her a hug and wished her a happy birthday! Thank you to everyone that made this such a special evening!

The night before my wedding, Todd decided his personal life was more important then my rehearsal he night before the wedding. Something we had planned for months. Todd calls me 30 min before my rehearsal dinner telling me we have to come to j lius early because he had dinner plans. Not my problem! Tried to increase pricing on us too, get everything in writing and save all emails!

From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank Alexis and the staff at J liu enough. We had a fantastic time and have heard so many wonderful compliments from our guests. The room was AWESOME!!! Everyone had a lot of fun and we couldn't have done it without the help from Alexis and her staff. We are truly blessed and grateful.

When my husband and I started planning, we were originally going to have our reception at another location, however shortly after picking that location we had some unforseen economic hardship come upon us. We were doing a Gatsby themed wedding and wanted a place that reflected that style and was more affordable and smaller in size than the previous location. J Liu Restaurant was quite literally the perfect place for us. The ballroom, while able to accommodate 250, due to our circumstances we had a small guest list, which allowed for more room in between the tables which gave enough room to move freely. We met with Todd several times and whatever we didn't like, he gave suggestions for changes, followed up promptly on special requests and allowed me to feel ok with asking for what I wanted. The staff at J Liu was tremendously courteous every single time we entered the facility or called on the phone, always greeting us with a smile and a warm, approachable attitude and ready to serve us. It seemed that no task or demand was too big for them to accomplish, and they came through in fine style. This exceptional service and attention to detail allowed us to pull off the classy "Gatsby" atmosphere we were going for. I highly recommend this establishment for any event!

The night couldn't have gone more smoothly! I literally did not have to worry about a thing, the room was decorated just the way I wanted it and all of my guests enjoyed the night. Todd and Alexis took great care of me throughout the whole process and made everything stress free. The room is beautiful and the service staff was amazing!

We were so impressed with Todd and his staff at J. Liu. They did an amazing job! Todd was great to work with and he really helped make everything go smoothly. J. Liu is a beautiful and modern space. It was a beautiful reception site and I would recommend it to anyone!!! We could not have asked for a better experience at J. Liu!!

I had my wedding reception at J Liu with around 130 guests and I couldn't have been more happy with how everything went. Todd and Rebekka the event coordinators at j Liu make everything so easy the least stressful part of the whole planning process for me was when I handed things over to them. My mom even told me that when she arrived for the reception Todd picked here out of the crowd asked her what she wanted from the bar and personally made sure she had a full drink all night. Everyone at J Liu make my reception absolutely perfect I couldn't have asked for a better night!

Great Food! Amazing Staff! Beatiful Venue! We made the perfect choice in selecting J.Liu. From the very beginning we felt relaxed after we met their event manger, Todd Brown. He helped us with just about everything and made lots of wonderful suggestions. I felt J.Liu delivered with the fairy tale reception that I always dreamed of. My expectations were exceeded.

I had my wedding reception at J.Liu. My wedding was absolutely wonderful. Our cocktail hour and reception ran very smoothly and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and professional. Many of my friends left saying it was the best reception they have ever attended. We worked with Todd Brown and he was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process... we couldn't have done it without him. We highly recommend J.Liu for future weddings!

J Liu made all of our dreams come true for our wedding. Not only was the food delicious and the venue was gorgeous, but the staff was professional, helpful and overall, they were amazing. Todd, the banquet manager, was so attentive to my husband and I throughout the process. He made us feel like we were the only wedding that mattered at J Liu. He helped us stay on budget, and he assisted us in picking the food and beverages served at the wedding. The ballroom at J Liu is stunning. And my husband and I liked that we could choose the layout of the room. We were able to put the dance floor in the center of the room with tables of our family and friends around us. We also liked that J Liu offers premium wine and liquor and served delicious drinks all night long. Overall, there is nothing we would change about J Liu. All of our friends and family told us that it was the most beautiful wedding they have attended and that the food was delicious. We highly recommend J Liu and Todd.

Where can we begin? It's hard to wrap up our overall positive experience in an online review, but two words seem to sum it up best: "no complaints." From the MOMENT we met with Todd, we felt completely comfortable moving forward with an organized plan that we both trusted. As we continued to work with Todd and Rebekka, the planning only became easier and they both excelled to our favorite vendors during planning. We still can't believe how affordable their rates are compared to the high-scale experience. They offer a diverse menu, so we could have Asian and Italian on our buffet (both excellent dishes). As an indecisive bride, I can truly attest that their holistic, unofficial talents include wedding planning, decorating, and customer service. By the end, our entire family felt like we've known them for years, not JUST another wedding reception. We even decided to hold our rehearsal dinner there since they make everything so easy and customer friendly! Our favorite compliment came from our friends regarding the butler-passed hors d'oeuvres : "the staff seem to genuinely like working there!" Their plates and drinks were always full, too. While other vendors scoffed at non-traditional ideas, or gave unreasonably high quotes, or misplaced contracts, we were always grateful for the genuine, organized service from J. Liu. We will continue to dine there and recommend their event services to our engaged friends. Todd, Rebekka, Jason (owner) and the staff truly were the best part about stressful wedding planning.

The rumor is that weddings are stressful and the bride and groom can't wait for the day to be over. That was NOT the case for my husband and me. When it came to our reception, it felt like everything was taken care of. They really work with your budget and what you would like your wedding to look and feel like. Something that J Liu offered us is a list of recommended vendors for various aspects of the wedding (DJs, flowers, photographers, officiants, etc.). This list saved us many hours of research and since these vendors had all worked with J Liu before, it was less pressure on us to figure out the small details and we didn't have to be the middle man to our venue and vendors. I knew that I would have fun at my wedding but I didn't realize how stress free and amazing if would be at the same time. I would recommend J Liu as a venue for any event.

I should begin by saying that planning an event at this level is not really my "thing." We met with Todd and he made difficult menu decisions easy, complex seating arrangements simple, and all along kept his sense of humor. The evening of the event went off as planned, the staff was gracious, food delicious, and decorations were beautiful. I highly recommend J. Liu's for any type of event there is. It is a lovely place.

I must first start this review by saying how blown away I was by Todd their catering manager. He walked us through every step of the way, gave us custom and unique ideas we were searching for, and pulled every last detail together for us. He was always a phone call or email away and made everything so easy on us. He was personable and pleasant to work with. He put our minds to ease early on knowing that he would have everything taken care of. After all of the planning, we walked into our reception and it was so much more then we ever expected. Everything was put together with genuine thought and care for us. The room was beautiful because of Todd and his staff. Everyone at J Liu went above and beyond for us. Todd and his staff made sure every guest of ours was taken care of. I have heard in the weeks passing that our reception has been a favorite of all of our friends. They have raved about the amazing food, first rate service, beautiful facility, and how wonderful everything was put together. We even had a few out of town guests that are coming to visit in a month and they have requested their first meal when back in Columbus be at J Liu's! If I had my choice I would choose J Liu all over again. It was beyond a wonderful experience. There was not a single thing I would have done differently. I cannot thank Todd and his staff enough for making our wedding such a beautiful day.

The venue was beautiful and everything looked just like I had imagined it. It was a little difficult getting in touch with the event coordinator, but our wedding was in May, which is a very busy wedding month. Overall our wedding was a blast and only a few people (who were involved with the process) even noticed the minor hiccups.

We held our reception at J Liu and it was just amazing. Guests commented on how beautiful the room was and how great the food is. Our event coordinator was awesome. My husband and I did not have a plan and we're pretty easy going which made it difficult for our event planner. But he got a feel of who we are and gave us the best reception ever. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

The ballroom at J Liu of Worthington is not only beautiful... it has amazing employees as well. Todd Brown was always available to answer any questions I had through E-mail, even if there were multiple ones per day (this happened often)! He was so helpful, as he understood that having a wedding reception is a big expense, and he helped us with that in any way that he could. My husband and I felt that there was nothing we had to worry about. I had so many things on my mind, and the last thing I needed to think about was whether or not my guests would have a great time because I was certain that they would, as Todd gave me that trust! The food was very unique, as we had the coconut cornflake chicken. It brought a fun feel to the reception that I desired but didn't quite know how to accomplish. You really can't go wrong with any food that you have at J Liu! During my reception, one of the employees who was cleaning up took a moment to stop me and say how it was the best reception he had ever been a part of. I just felt that we were in great hands at J Liu, and that is something that is imperative if you do not want to lose your mind during the wedding planning process! If I had to have a wedding reception again, I would not think twice before contacting Todd again.

We had our rehearsal dinner at J Lui's in Dublin and it was probably one of the best parts of our whole wedding weekend! Bill Murphy and his staff did the most incredible job putting together the room exactly as I wanted it and working on a special menu that I wanted. They made is feel like royalty the second we walked in the door and made the evening an incredible experience. My husband and I frequent this location often and will continue to as the service Bill and his staff provides in the best in Columbus! Also was very well priced!

Todd was so easy to work with, he was patient and very detail oriented. I literally didn't even check the final event order because I was so confident that Todd had everything right. Sure enough, on the day of everything was literally perfect! The staff was amazing, they were so nice to us and our guests and made last minute changes to accomodate everything. Our guests had a total blast and we just want to go back and do it all again this weekend!

J Liu made my wedding better than my dreams! Every detail from planning, decoration, service, food, and fun was better than expected. What really sold us on picking J Liu was the food- they are known for their amazing restaurant and delicious food. All of our guests were raving about the butler passes appetizers during cocktail hour and the fantastic plated meals for dinner! The banquet manager, Todd, is extremely sociable and knowable. He gave advice as to what was best for our ideas, our guests, and our wallet. Through the planning process, Todd and I worked closely together, he helped me implement some of the ideas I had, that I realistically thought were not possible. I fully trusted the staff at J Liu, which gave me peace of mind as it got closer to the wedding. I knew that they would be able to carry through with every little planned detail to perfection. I highly recommend J Liu for a professional planning experience and a perfectly executed event.

Our J Liu wedding was held in the private dining room in December 2011. The managers were really amazing in helping us to customize our small wedding to make it an intimate and amazing experience for us and our guests. We had 35 guests and held both the ceremony and reception in the private dining room. Ask for Jamie - She's wonderful!

We had our wedding reception at J. Liu this past October 22nd. Todd and the entire staff did an exceptional job with everything. The layout was perfect, and they decorated the ballroom better than we could have imagined. Todd was a pleasure to work with during the several months leading up to the wedding, and gave us some great ideas we would have never thought of. A true professional. We received countless compliments on the venue and food especially. Chef James did an excellent job with our entrees and appetizers. The staff cleaned everything up for us, and we just had to come the next day to pick up a few things. We would highly recommend J. Liu to anyone considering a wedding in the great Columbus area. The overall price was very reasonable for the quality of product and service we received. It was definitely the perfect end to our perfect day.

J. Liu was amazing! Todd Brown and the staff at J. Liu were wonderful. Todd offered suggestions and ideas that worked great for our wedding. We had no trouble scheduling meetings with him or making any changes. We received so many compliments on the food and the beautiful space. Absolute great venue!

After a couple minor hiccups during the planning process, I was a little nervous that things would not be just as they should on my wedding day, but the level of personal service and attention from the staff at J. Liu were exceptional. Yes, the presentation of our dinner was slightly different than what we had tasted and expected, but it was delicious nonetheless, and all of our special requests were handled beautifully. My guests were thoroughly impressed and complimentary. I would recommend J. Liu without hesitation.
