When our oldest daughter got engaged during Covid and was discussing where and when they wanted their wedding, I knew one answer and that was that Jen would be our wedding planner. When Lauren and I first met with her, the first thing Jen asked Lauren was how she envisioned her wedding. Of course, Lauren’s answer was to have it in Crested Butte, Colorado, a place she had been going since she was little. Even with Covid, Jen and her crew (Rachel) were able to pull off the most beautiful wedding in the mountains last July of 2021. The minute I saw the venue all decorated, tears filled my eyes. She captured every detail of what this bride and groom wanted for their special day. I think the one thing I heard over and over from our friends/family was that they have never seen such a relaxed Mother of the Bride. That was all due to Jen. She made it very easy. When our middle daughter got engaged in the fall of 2021, I also knew that she and her fiance’ knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding – a backyard wedding at Alyssa’s Granddad’s home in The Woodlands, Texas. Once again, the decision was unanimous that Jen would be the wedding planner. As Alyssa and Kevin met with Jen, the vision of their special day came all together. She listened to what they wanted, made little suggestions and brought everything together as they had planned. And again, tears filled my eyes when Jen showed up for Alyssa’s bridal portraits. As she hugged me, I knew everything about their wedding was going to be perfect. It was! I wish everyone could have seen this gorgeous backyard wedding. She had all the emergency needle and thread bits to make any last minute snafu disappear. Our whole family just loves and adores Jen Lowrance. When the wedding is over you wont want to lose touch. By the time of the proposal, we had roughly 8 months to plan and execute the wedding of her dreams (still during a pandemic). Oh yeah, we lived 180 miles away, limiting the assistance we could provide. Enter Jennifer Lowrance! We found Jennifer as the result of recommendation from the staff of our selected venue, hired JLow Events for the duration and things immediately started falling into place. Long term scheduling, industry contacts and recommendations for vendors, contract knowledge (and management when necessary), creative suggestions for a million details we hadn’t considered and above all, organization! Jen was an oasis of calm and competence in a whirlwind of activity. She got vendor bids, attended planning meetings with the bride and groom and kept the entire process on track from the moment she started. She also was a friendly, easy going sounding board for ideas and was unfailingly responsive to needs, questions or whatever the stressor de jour was. We came to refer to issues we had as “that’s a JLow problem” and as soon as we presented the issue to her, it was resolved. Throughout the planning process her experience, organization, good humor and hard work paid huge dividends in cost control, organization, great coordination and, ultimately, stress relief for us. All of the efforts culminated in a beautiful event that earned the compliments of guests and participants alike.
