She was actually my sister's wedding photographer 5 years prior to my wedding. Jess impressed me so much then, that I immediately made sure I saved her info for when I needed her on my big day. She catches such perfect moments on camera and you can see our story and love radiate through the pictures.
My husband and I haven't gotten many professional photos done before we got engaged. For both our engagement shoot and wedding day, Jess was able to pose us and give us certain cues/suggestions to make us feel so comfortable and natural in all of our pictures. She has such an artistic eye and really takes into account the entire environment when taking pictures and how she can use it to her advantage.
Not only is she a fantastic photographer who takes timeless photos, but she is also such a calming presence. I had done a good job about not being bridezilla up until the weather forecast changed a hour before my outdoor ceremony was supposed to start. It started to sprinkle on us as we were taking pictures. I panicked and started to feel very overwhelmed. She was one of the only people there that was able to calm me down and comfort me that everything was going to be perfect and that the pictures would still turn out fantastic. She went back and checked to make sure we covered all the group shots we wanted, reassured me that she could edit out any rain drops on my bridesmaids' dresses in the pictures, and even found a window of time where there wasn't rain to take more picture of me and my husband. I am so thankful for Jess and all of the tasks she took on on my wedding day ,aside from just being my photographer. She truly cares about her clients and always put her whole heart into her work.
I will continuously recommend her to everyone I know in need of a photographer!

and her photography style. she showed us her portfolios and we very impressed with her work. More than that, she was incredibly easy to talk to and wanted to make this as easy as possible for us. She also took time to get to know us as a couple. We talked a few times during the year of planning, and the day of she came to my parents house and embraced all the crazy hectic action that was going on while my bridesmaids, mother and I were running around getting last minute things together. She helped us figure everything out and made sure we weren't forgetting anything. All while taking pictures of my dress, jewlery and girls getting ready. She knew certain pictures were important to us, including allotting time to get some with our dog and even made sure we got a picture on the bridge by the Gelston house in East Haddam. The whole night she was the perfect balance of making sure she wasn't missing any essential pictures, and staying in the background to allow for candids and guest pictures. We cannot wait to get the pictures, and are so happy we chose Jessica to capture our special day.
