Janice is truly a miracle worker! She designed my MOH dress, my sister's wedding dress and my mom's MOB dress for my sister's wedding and they were absolutely beautiful! Amazing fabric and quality and you can tell she makes it all with love! Will go to her with all of my future dress needs.

Janice was amazing. From getting all our alterations completed to baking the most beautiful and delicious cookies for the rehearsal dinner. She is one amazing lady that can help with anything that you need for an event . She’ll definitely be our go to foe our third child’s wedding

Janice is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING + EXTREMELY TALENTED. She did the alterations for my wedding dress, reception dress, my Moms MOB gown, my bridesmaids, AND repurposed my Mom's 32 YO wedding gown into THE cutest dress for me to wear to my rehearsal/rehearsal dinner, AND made a keepsake bag out of the remainder material of my Moms dress for me too! A friend referred me to Janice for my bridal alterations and she was truly amazing! I absolutely recommend her to anyone needing alterations! Janice did the original dress alterations for my wedding scheduled in April 2020, which included a hem and adding a bustle. After my original wedding got postponed to August, I realized I wanted a few more adjustments to my dress after losing weight. I went to Janice less than two weeks from my new wedding date in August and she was able to make the adjustments for me! Her work was flawless and made me feel so comfortable and happy in my wedding dress! Overall, she ended up hemming my dress, adding a bustle, inserting cups, and shortening the straps, all of which were extremely timely and affordable!

The BEST alterations and bridal design job ever! We had a bunch of items we needed done, to include the repurposing of my 32 year old wedding dress in to a dress for my daughter. It turned out AMAZING! Janice was so creative in making our vision come to life. She did an amazing job on all of the alterations we needed as well. Would recommend her 1000% for any sewing/alteration work needed. Everything was done in a timely manner, she communicates very well, customer service completed on point, and EXTREMELY reasonable pricing. There is nothing that we did not love about our experience in working with her.

Janice is a joy to work with! She handled a custom heirloom wedding gown with thoughtfulness and precision, creating the updated dress that my daughter dreamed of wearing. She also created 12 custom bridesmaid dresses for our other daughter's wedding, working with a variety of body sizes and shapes. Each dress fit perfectly and her price was similar to what they would have paid for dresses bought in a boutique. Janice has created several custom dresses and blouses for our family and each piece was beautifully made. I highly recommend Janice.

Janice altered my wedding dress - which was no small feat and involved completely taking the dress apart (all layers separated and the bodice from the skirt) - after a different tailor was unable to appropriately fix my dress. Not only did Janice do a flawless job, she helped put me at ease, even though we went to her for the alteration a mere 13 days before the wedding. Janice also designed and sewed all of the bridesmaids’ dresses for our wedding. I went to her with a picture of what I wanted, and she worked with us to design and create the dress I had in mind for an incredibly reasonable price, including alterations. Not only did she create each dress to perfectly fit each bridesmaid, she also tailored them wonderfully. Janice was an absolute joy to work with, and I highly recommend her for any of your wedding/bridesmaid design and alteration needs (Janice also creates pageant dresses, if pageants are in your wheel house of talents.). She is such a talented and sweet person, and I will truly miss interacting with her!

I am BEYOND happy with my dress from J Marie’s! I had a very specific vision for my engagement shoot inspired from an out of season designer dress that was WAY out of my price range. I couldn’t find anything remotely similar, so decided to go custom. I knew of J Marie’s from a friend, so I sent over some photos of my dress inspiration and similar dresses and described my perfect dress. It was like she read my mind! My dress came out exactly as I wanted, and she even made it easy to take in or let out in case it didn’t fit (I am not local)... of course it fit perfectly so no need! If you are envisioning your perfect dress and can’t find it- I highly recommend going custom with J Marie’s!!!

Janice was awesome to work with! I work full time and she was so flexible, working with me and around my schedule to come in for my fittings. As a bridesmaid, it was by far the easiest and best experience being fitted for a dress (then having it custom made FOR me!). The dress is great quality and for a much lower price than the dresses we looked at in bridal salons. The bridesmaids dresses are stunning! I don’t think any of us will complain about wearing them for other formal events in the future. Do yourself a favor and just call Janice!

I was in awe when I walked into Janice’s shop. The page t dresses and wedding attire she had completed were amazing. Such detail and professionalism. She made my dress, mother of the bride. Light pink mauve with all lace top. It was beautiful. Beyond my expectations. The dress fit perfectly. No adjustments or alterations were needed at the time of the final fitting. I had looked at dresses on racks before coming to her. Absolutely no comparison. She made my daughter’s wedding dress and her maid of honor, as well as alterations to the other maid of honor. Had the most wonderful experience with Janice. She made my wedding dress, mom’s dress and one of my maid of honors dress and altered my other maid of honors dress! She knew exactly what my vision was and gave us great advice and ideas. Worked great with our budget! Her work is pure perfection! I definitely recommend using her to create your custom wedding dress. Everything is very well made and much better quality then store bought dresses. I am truly over the moon with my experience and in love with my dress she has made for my big day. Amazing woman!

I loved working with Janice and I would absolutely work with her again in the future. She's a dream and I'm so excited to be a customer of hers! I could tell from the start that she truly cared about my experience as a customer from point a to point b, then b and a half, then c... y'all get it! Her suggestions throughout the design process were on point, and she sketched a dress for me the first time I met her. Her studio is in her home, so you're in a comfortable environment and not in a stuffy bridal/ pageant atelier. She's creative, friendly, highly skilled (basically what I'm saying here is that she knows her stuff), courteous, flexible, funny, and so, SO much more. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a store-bought item to Janice for alterations (side note: a friend bought a dress at a store and Janice jazzed it up a little and did perfect alterations), and I can't imagine going anywhere else for my own bridal gown in the future. I highly recommend J.Marie Designs and I look forward to working with her again.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Janice! She is super creative, does fabulous work, and will work with you to create your vision of the perfect dress (whether it's a wedding gown, a bridesmaids dress, mother of the bride, prom, pageant, etc.). She also does alterations and is absolutely fantastic with them as well. My wife used her for our daughter's wedding...she made all of the bridesmaids dresses and did some alterations on the wedding gown as well. My wife raved about the fact that Janice is so patient and will work with you to get the fit and look you desire. Her prices are reasonable and for the price, you get a finished gown that is custom made to fit you--no need to spend more money for alterations--everything is hemmed and taken up to fit you like a glove. She's extremely nice and wants you to be happy with the finished product. She is willing to meet you during the evening as well as on the weekend which really helps if you are from out of town. Call Janice (J. Marie's) for your formal and wedding wear. You won't be sorry!!

Janice is absolutely amazing! My daughter had a photo of a bridesmaids dress she liked and we could find nothing like it. Janice created the dress my daughter wanted complete with all of the changes the we requested. The finished product is an absolutely stunning dress that was custom made to each bridesmaids specific measurements. All of this for less than the cost of a cheaply made, but expensive bridesmaids dress from a bridal salon that the bridesmaids would have then had to pay to have altered. Since all of my daughter's bridesmaids were 25+ years old, they were ecstatic that their dresses were not only stunning, but they didn't look too young either. Fast forward to the week before the wedding, I tried on my dress which was hemmed by someone else. The hem was almost an inch too long and was not even along the bottom edge. I called Janice in a panic and she agreed for me to come by on Saturday morning and she would fix the hem while I waited. This was not a simple hem, but a high end lace dress. Janice had to remove the lace from the bottom, straighten and raise the hem and the reapply the lace. She did it quickly and was so gracious to me. She is so kind and works very hard to make sure her customers are happy. Her prices for everything are reasonable AND the quality of the things she does is top notch. Call Janice, you will be so glad that you did!!

Janice did a fabulous job creating my dream wedding dress and at a very reasonable price. She was willing to work with me on all aspects of the dress making process. She was flexible with scheduling appointments, she found samples of multiple fabrics for me to choose from and made absolutely any changes I wanted. My first visit with Janice she sketched up the design as I described to her what I wanted. The next visit she took my measurements and had swatches of fabric for me to choose from. From there she did a “rough draft” version of the dress to make sure I liked the way everything fit and felt before she cut into the beautiful lace fabric she found for me. She did the final fitting just a week before the wedding to assure the dress fit perfectly. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting a custom wedding dress for the same price or less than you would buy from a boutique.

Janice does amazing work. I am the Mother of the Bride and was concerned about what to wear. I described to Janice what I thought I wanted in a dress. She designed and constructed the perfect dress for me. It was not only beautiful but the fit was perfect. She is a true blessing to any bride and her Mom.

Janice is unbelievably talented and a miracle worker. She has altered everyone of my bridesmaids’ dresses; everything from a simple hem to completely redesigning an old one to feel new. She even let out a fellow bridesmaid dress 32 hours before the ceremony; honestly you could not find a better seamstress. She is very accomendating and fairly priced; recommend everyone should go to her.

My experience with J Marie’s was nothing other than five star perfection! Not only did she custom make my daughters beautiful veil and embellished the waistline of her wedding dress, she offered to custom make my mother of the bride‘s dress when I could not find one that I liked. J Marie’s asked me to try on dresses at department stores and make note of things I liked about different dresses ( sleeves, neckline, waist etc. ). She then took my measurements and sketched a dress featuring all the things I liked about a variety of other dresses and put them all into one. She made my dress from scratch in less than a week! J Marie’s uses The best fabrics and delivers high quality. She won’t stop until completely satisfied.

Great seamstress. Creative and will custom design your dress. Janice is very professional, accommodating and flexible. She delivers what she promises. My daughter had 12 bridesmaids in her wedding and 75% of them were from out of town, as far away as Spain. Janice made all of their dresses and they were beautiful, along with mine, the mother of the bride. You will not be disappointed if you go with Janice.

Janice just did my bridesmaid dress and it went from fitting like a tent (seriously, it was awful) to fitting like a glove! It was the perfect length and gave me a shape back! She had it done within a week and was so reasonably priced compared to bridal shops. Such a sweet lady, and a sewing genius! I want her to do all my alterations from now on, including my wedding dress! Wouldn't think of anyone better for the job, you won't be disappointed!

She has done all my formalwear and any/all special events. There are no words for her level of artistry and attention to detail. Janice will transform your dreams from pictures and sketches to custom made perfection. I refuse to buy anything in store from here on out. She is truly something extraordinary and I encourage you to give her your business!

Janice made my wedding dress and all of my bridesmaids' dresses! She took so much time to make sure that everything was exactly the way that I wanted it, and all of the girls looked amazing. Janice even came on the day of the wedding to make sure that I was in the dress and that it was perfectly placed for pictures. If you want a dress that is EXACTLY what you were picturing in your head, then J. Marie's is exactly where you should go!

AMAZING! Janice can do anything. We showed her pictures of two different dresses and she was able to create them both perfectly. She can also work with any budget. She a made a small change in the fabric of one dress to help make it a bit more affordable for us. She created my headpiece and veil and made my garter from pieces of my mom’s wedding gown. Love her!
