J Photography is currently based out of Bloomington, IL, and is here to help you capture images from one of the most important days of your life! His goal as a photographer is to both help you plan the big day, and assist in making the day as fluid as possible.
Joseph is most interested in taking candid pictures of all of the best moments from your wedding day. His photos feel under-edited and capture the natural beauty of you, your partner, and all your family and friends! You will appreciate Joseph's laid back and go with the flow demeanor as he hopes to take some of the stress out of your wedding day!
With all of that said, J Photography is very reasonably priced for the high quality photos you will receive. Additional services include engagements sessions and extra hours. Please inquire if you have any questions at all!
Hi, I’m Joseph Schopp! While my journey in photography spans six years, I have been compelled by the arts for as long as I can remember. I started up the business two years ago, and it continues to grow as I gain more experience.

We truly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our wedding! Joseph was an absolute dream to work with—friendly, professional, and incredibly organized from start to finish. He made us feel completely at ease on such an important day and managed to capture every special moment so beautifully.
One of the things that impressed us most was how quickly we received our photos—they came back in no time, yet the quality was nothing short of amazing. Every image felt authentic, emotional, and full of life.
We would hire Joseph a hundred times over and can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking for a talented, dependable, and genuinely wonderful photographer!

Joseph was excellent. He was even willing to go to a new venue with us when he had an unexpected cancellation with our first venue. Joseph was with us for 5 hours and took some amazing pictures, that really captured the energy of our event. He did a wonderful job being in every moment of our event when it counted, but also blending in well. He was excellent and should strongly be considered.

Joe was very professional and communicated well with us leading up to the wedding. We discussed our vision for the day and types of photos we wanted ahead of time. During our wedding which was at Ewing Manor, he offered suggestions for poses and locations at the venue and was fun to work with. We couldn’t be happier with the pictures!

Joseph was incredibly professional, personable, and he did an excellent job. As a Catholic, I loved how he was able to complete his job well while also maintaining respect for the Holy Mass (and he knew how to get the best pictures of the most important parts!). Joseph also did a great job of making us feel comfortable and he was great at capturing everything that we wanted and had asked for. I really appreciated how willing and adaptable he always was to our requests and small plan changes that came about in the big day. And lastly his photos came out BEAUTIFUL; I really wanted to capture the brightness of outside summers and he perfectly captured it. And he gave them to us so soon after it was great to be able to have them so soon after the wedding, like what more could you ask for. Great great job :)

I cannot recommend J Photography enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was amazing. Joseph made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera.
The photos turned out a perfect. Joseph has an incredible eye for detail. We’ve received so many compliments on the editing, the different types of pictures Joseph captured (posed, candid) and how quickly we received them after our wedding.
If you’re looking for someone who is professional, friendly, and incredibly talented, J Photography is the one. We’re so grateful we chose Joseph!

Joseph was great! He captured our engagement shoot exactly how we envisioned. He helped to guide us with poses so we weren’t awkward-looking, and he got the photos back to us quicker than any other photographer I’ve ever worked with. Very fun to work with!

Joseph was organized, professional, and easy to work with! He did a great job of scoping out some gorgeous locations for our wedding photos and captured the joy of the day so beautifully. We were so happy with the quality of our photos and with the quick turnaround when he returned the edited photos to us. Joseph was our photographer for our vow renewal October 2022. He was punctual, professional and patient. We appreciated his willingness to drive to our venue which was not local for him. He took the time to learn about us and listen to what was most important to us (See you, hear you, know you). He responds to questions promptly and produces photos promptly. I would recommend Joseph to anyone looking for a professional photographer that really listens to you and cares about the quality of your photos. Also, he captures wonderful pictures!!

Joseph was a great photographer for our wedding and his rates are very reasonable. He was very easy to work with and made choosing a photographer for our wedding very simple. I would recommend him for your other photography needs as well. His editing skills were great (see below)! And we had our photos just 2 weeks after our event.
