ure I found “the dress” and I did! It was brand new to the shop. I was the very first person to ever try in that dress. And I just KNEW!! I instantly started sobbing on the floor still wearing the dress. I had just lost my mom a few months before, and i knew this was the dress she has pictured me wearing. They even spent time looking into the best possible seamstress who would alter my dress, and add my mother’s lace on the dress. Which was soooo important to me.
My dress was cleaned and steamed right before my wedding. And they took EXTRA care around the bottom of my dress that held my mother’s lace so they wouldn’t damage it. This whole experience with them has been one of the best choices of my life! And I am so grateful that i discovered them. No one else could have taken better care of me and my dress.

few things on and get an idea of what I wanted but honestly went more for the experience of trying on dresses. After showing Jacqueline just a few photos of what I was drawn to, she pulled about five dresses and the THIRD one I tried on was the one! I couldn't believe it so I tried on a few more just to be sure but she nailed it. She made the entire experience very fun and comfortable for all of us and really listened to the things I said I did and didn't like.
When my fiance's custom suit he ordered (not from the shop) arrived in the mail and did not fit at all, I called Jacqueline in a panic and asked if she could recommend anyone who could help with alterations. She took the time to find names and numbers of people that may be able to help and talked me through the process of what our options could be (despite the fact that this suit was not one from their store). Her knowledge and expertise on all things formal wear was extremely helpful and despite her efforts to help us salvage the custom suit, she reassured me that if nothing else she could rush order a rental. We ended up returning the suit and renting a suit from the shop last minute and SO glad we did as my husband was very happy with the style and fit that Jacqueline helped him pick out. I will always recommend J Scott to any bride I meet--she was outstanding in every way possible, and a genuinely nice person who really cares about your overall experience! Thanks Jacqueline!

As I tried on the dresses, Jacklyn was attentive, helpful, and honest without being pushy or opinionated. She truly wanted the best dress for me, and that was evident in how she treated me. I loved every dress that I tried on -- although I only tried on a few because it didn't take long for me to find The One. My dress was classic (a lace mermaid) but it was also unique. My mom loves to say that she still has never seen another dress like mine.
One other note: I live in Minneapolis and as friends have gotten married over the years, I have spent a decent amount of time in bridal shops in the Twin Cities area. The selection and service that I experienced at J Scott rivaled -- if not surpassed -- the shops here. J Scott Couture is a gem, and I truly believe that the shop meets the needs of a diverse group of brides, from those who want a simple country wedding to those who want an urban upscale experience.

I really appreciated the selection at J Scott Couture (eventhough I had my heart set on a Maggie), especially after I went to visit another bridal store with a much more limited selection, J Scott Couture was clearly much more my style. I was impressed with the store, it was professional and I loved having my own "private section" of the store to try on dresses and not feel intimidated to come out of the dressing room.
