We were after something special for our ceremony and Jack delivered. He beautifully played instrumentals leading up to and during our ceremony on his violin. My dad and I had happy tears flowing the whole walk to my groom. Jack was well prepared, easily shifted when we requested changes to music, and took song requests for our guests to dance/party the night away, or the sweeter side of playing first dance songs of others that I requested to surprise a few close couple friends in attendance. He even texted an audio clip of his live playing of our song so we could hear it 1-2 weeks before our wedding day. We had zero unknowns leading up to our day because he is that organized, dedicated, professional, and great. He even stepped in to help with the timeline a bit since we did not have a day-of coordinator. Thank you, Jack, for being a highlight for us and our guests! Jack was AMAZING. Best wedding dj out there. On top of being friendly, personable, and organized, he is incredibly talented. He played the violin for my procession, which was a challenging song I had requested, and he nailed it. He then did an amazing job with leading the reception and worked with our playlist and a few of his own choices to craft a the best set we could have asked for. I got so many compliments on the music from our guests. If you need a wedding dj, seriously go with Jack! He helped us make memories that will last a lifetime

Jack was incredibly helpful throughout the wedding planning process. He was able to help give suggestions and pick out the perfect songs, came to the rehearsal dinner to make sure everything was perfect, and made sure the party didn't stop until the venue kicked us out! I would recommend Jack to anybody looking for a DJ. He's extremely professional, helpful, and a genuine nice guy. You cant go wrong with choosing him!

Jack was awesome to work with! It was everything we could have wanted for the day. We had multiple meetings leading up to the wedding day, and he was able to promise everything that we wanted. He even came to our rehersal as well to help with music timing for processional down the aisle. We were not able to use his skills with violin, but his DJ at the reception was great and many guests complimented the music throughout the day. Our party was the older crowd type so we ended earlier than anticipated, and he made it so special with the last couple of songs! Having a great DJ makes the day even better. Highly recommend him to any bride or wedding planner!

Jack was phenomenal to work with! He was extremely attentive to our wishes and it was evident that he truly cared about us as a couple. The dance floor was busy all night due to Jack’s ability to keep the energy alive! We had multiple people tell us that our music was a hit. We were specifically looking for someone to play violin during our ceremony and a DJ for our reception and were thrilled to find that Jack offered both of these services! From the beginning, Jack was super easy to work with and willing to accommodate all of our requests. He was supportive of my wishes and overall an amazing asset to have as part of our wedding vendors. He's very talented on the violin and knew how to keep the dance floor crowded. We met Jack at a bridal fair early on in our wedding planning and he pulled us in and ended up being exactly what we were looking for! Jack is an amazingly talented musician and is able to play violin or guitar during the ceremony/cocktail hour. He learned two songs by Hozier for our processional and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. My dream was to walk down the aisle to a live guitarist, which he was able to do. He checked all of our boxes that we wanted in a DJ, as he was able to do the DJ services, microphone setup, live music, plus lighting for the dancing. He brought SO much energy and our dance floor was packed all night! Jack was great with communication and we ended up having a few in-person meetings at Colectivo before the wedding. He followed our guidelines of our do not plays and he was perfect with setting the right vibe for each part of the day. Jack is amazing at his craft and I would recommend him 100x over to anyone getting married!

We love DJ Jack! After he did such a phenomenal job DJing my sister's wedding in 2021, we didn't even look into other DJs for our wedding this July. We knew we would go with Jack because he kept the dancefloor lit all night. And he did not disappoint! Out of all of our wedding vendors, Jack was the most responsive. This was a huge relief to me as I was going through the entire planning process. He is so organized, he reminded us of things we had to coordinate that we didn't even think of, he was fantastic all around. 10 stars!!

Jack Boatman is the BEST! When we were looking for a wedding dj, we had met with a few others, but none compared to Jack! He did an amazing job with our entire wedding, and for our ceremony, he played the violin. It definitely added a beautiful touch to our entire day! He is so easy to work with and very accommodating, and we met with him numerous times to discuss the details of our big day. Jack was the easiest vendor choice for my husband and I while planning our wedding. I knew I wanted live violin for our ceremony and let me tell you, Jack is such a talented violinist. For example, during our processional, the bridal party took longer than anticipated to make their way down the aisle, but Jack extended the song with ease, and no one noticed. Hearing the violin as I walked down to my husband just made the whole moment so magical. He is extremely professional, very thorough, and really gets to know you as clients, which I loved. I had several song changes throughout our planning process and he kept up with every singly one because he is so organized. What I really liked about working with Jack is he almost doubled as a wedding planner... he helps you plan out the sequence of events from grand march, to speeches, to first dances and asks you questions you haven't even thought of because he is so experienced. He also kept up with my many specific song requests for specific moments of our day. The day was better than I ever imagined thanks to Jack and his hard work. I highly recommend JBMS for your wedding, you won't regret it!

Jack was such ease to work with. We are so pleased with our choice to use him. He spent a lot of time preparing and cultivating our perfect set list. The energy he brought to the reception was great. Choosing Jack as our DJ was truly one of the best decisions my husband and I made when it came to planning our wedding. Jack was an incredibly fun, energetic, and positive DJ and helped make our wedding reception an absolute blast for all of our guests! He was so high energy and played the songs in a sequence to keep people dancing all the way until last call! He met with us a few times beforehand to elicit our style and music preference but worked in his own experience to keep the party going. The cocktail hour set was exactly what we were hoping for too! Jack was super professional since the moment we reached out to him. He always responded to emails super quickly and made everything he needed from us very clear. He also kept our wedding on schedule as an emcee with smooth transitions. He arrived early to scope out the wedding venue which was new to him, and we really appreciated that! Throughout the entire process we really enjoyed working with a self-employed DJ rather than a DJ company. Overall, we would highly recommend Jack to DJ any event you’re planning!! Jack did an amazing job!! He met with us a few times before and answered all the questions we had. It was awesome that he was able to accompany my sister on his guitar while she sang. He was very fun and even brought a small powerful fan for behind the dj section, I mean it was mostly for him but he let us use it too- saved my makeup from sweating off lol

I hired Jack to DJ my wedding, and he was the best! He is incredibly professional and organized and works to keep everything going on time and flowing smoothly at the reception. He is also a talented musician and knows just what to play to keep the party going! Our dance floor was busy, and both the older and younger crowds were happy with the music selections! His sound equipment is also high quality, and everything sounded crisp and clear, and the uplighting he did looked amazing. I could not have found a better DJ!

We are SO glad we choose Jack to be our DJ for our wedding this past September! The music and dancing were one of our top priorities, and Jack made sure everything came together perfectly. My husband wanted to create the playlists for the cocktail hour and reception, with songs we liked and that we knew would get our friends and family dancing. Jack let us create playlists on Spotify and he used songs we had picked and made it all come together. It truely takes an expert to read the room and keep the party going. Our venue host even commented that ours was the first wedding she had seen where there were constantly people filling the dance floor, the entire night! Our friends are still talking about how fun it was, months later. It was exactly what we wanted, to spend the evening dancing and having a good time with all of our friends and family! Jack was super easy to work with and listened to what we wanted every step of the way. Of all our vendors, he was also always the quickest to respond to emails/messages. But my favorite part of our entire wedding day was a moment that we didn't plan. The week before the wedding, I had sent Jack some last minute song requests. There was a particular song we requested, Hello Hello by Elton John, but I wanted a particular version that wasn't on Spotify (from the movie Gnomeo and Juliet, Elton John ft. Lady Gaga). I noticed he hadn't said anything about the song in his reply, and in all the crazy busy days leading up to the wedding, I didn't have time to care or think much about it. Then at our wedding reception, later in the night during the dancing, we had pizza come out and almost everyone left the dance floor. Then we heard Hello Hello start to play, so my husband and I rushed back onto the dance floor. Then we realized, it was the verison ft. Lady Gaga that we had wanted! It was such a nice surprise, and it was perfect timing because we had the dance floor all to ourselves. It was honestly probably even better than our first dance. We were so grateful to Jack for surprising us with that special moment. Thank you again for making our day so special, Jack!!!

Jack was an incredible DJ at our wedding and truly the JACK of all trades. He played his violin LIVE during our ceremony and had people in tears! He is amazing at what he does. He was a huge factor in our wedding running smoothly and was extremely flexible on a day that had a lot of unexpected turns of events. He read the room very well during our reception and truly made an experience out of our dance floor and a night to remember. There is no other DJ we would have liked to work with other than Jack. He was quick to respond, creative, and helped us figure out what the wedding of our dreams was. Then he made it come true!

jack is the MAN for your dj/live music needs he was wonderful very easy to contact he answers right away he played violin with back round music on the speaker for the my wife walking down and just completely set the right emotion for that moment. he also played every song we had on the playlist and just mixed everything to make the perfect night. he also helped mc see the wedding and kept every thing organized from telling people when food started to getting every one hype for our grand march. he very professional and has a great ear for all types of music and would definitely recommend him to friends and family he is great at what he does !!

Jack was absolutely wonderful and professional to work with. He played violin for our ceremony and was the DJ at our reception. He is extremely talented at both and we were so lucky to have him. Before the wedding he met and sat down with us to go over timelines, key songs, the contract, and musical preferences. He is familiar with a broad variety of music and was able to match the mood well throughout the reception. For the ceremony he worked well with our organist and my brother on the clarinet as well. We highly recommend him for either service but especially recommend him for anyone looking for both a musician and DJ.

Jack exceeded all of our expectations. He listened to our song requests and took the time to really understand our taste in music, but also knew what songs people wanted to dance to. There wasn't a single moment the dance floor wasn't full all night! We couldn't have imagined a greater atmosphere at our reception and we greatly attribute that to Jack.

Jack was one of the best parts of our wedding. He met us a month or so beforehand to get a feel for our music tastes; what we wanted to play, what we didn’t want to play, etc. He took great care when asking about the song for our first dance; why did we pick it, when should the song start, when should he end it, etc. When it came time for the wedding Jack set up on time and was ready to go with all of his own equipment, even lighting. He kept things moving quickly during the dinner without making things feel rushed. Jack even went around to each table to make conversation and entertain before dismissing them. When it came time for my wife and I to have our first dance, we mentioned to Jack that we only wanted to dance to the first verse and chorus. But Jack let the song play on. He saw how much fun we were having, how we were enjoying our special moment together, and he let us enjoy it for as long as we could. At that moment the whole world melted away except for me and my wife. It was one of the best parts of our wedding, and we have Jack to thank for it. Jack really came into his own once everyone joined the dancefloor. He played the perfect mix for us and our guests. Punk rock, classic pop, emo anthems, heartfelt slow songs, guest requests, and even some of our favorite heavy metal tracks. Jack played the right song at the right time every single time. We still get compliments on Jack’s music selection. Do yourself a favor and hire Jack for your wedding. Don’t do it just because he has great music taste. Don’t do it because he’s a great entertainer. Don’t do it because he has his own gear. Hire Jack Boatman because he truly cares.
