My husband got a suit made by Jack Suits for our wedding and this is his review: Joey was a blast to work with, and the suit he designed for my wedding looked absolutely incredible. It fit like a glove but wasn’t restrictive and surprisingly very comfortable. Joey made the consultation process easy and has a way of teasing out exactly what you subconsciously want in a suit, even if you didn’t know it yourself. Highly recommend a custom suit from Jack Suits.
ordered 2 custom suits on Aug 5. Nathan came to my house and we picked everything and took measurements. A black one for a Gala in October and a tan one for my destination wedding in Egypt mid November. Originally told 6-8 weeks total turnaround time for both suits. After 8 weeks and ZERO communication from Nathan, I reached out with a “how are my suits coming?” That was when I found out they didn’t have the fabric for my wedding suit. But they were “coming along nicely”!? Why was it on ME to reach out to you for that information. Later, I was told by Nathan 3 times in 3 weeks that “they will be ready this week”. (His responses took days)The suits were not ready any of those weeks. 12 weeks in and The black suit was finally “ready” for a fitting 2 days before the gala. Nathan brought it to my house. The measurements were off by a lot, which whatever, they put white buttons on the suit? weird. And there wasn’t a shirt, I paid extra for the nice stretch material shirt. Nathan said the dry cleaners must’ve mixed it up. He left and said he would be back later that day with the altered suit and the shirt. He never showed… and when I texted him he said “Joey, our CEO, has your suit and is going to take care of it from here.” I said where is the shirt? “The dry cleaner misplaced it.” The guy had no remorse or sympathy, he didn’t give a shit. I never heard from him again.
Joey dropped the suit off to my Fiancé the next day while I was at work, alterations and buttons fixed but still no shirt. The night before the Gala, I was at Nordstrom buying a black shirt.
Joey was a little better to work with than Nathan, he at least responded quickly. but it was all too little too late and he decided to lie about it all rather than be like “hey, we messed up.”
now over 13 weeks in. I’ll be flying to EGYPT for my WEDDING in 3 DAYS. The dry cleaner “LOST” my entire wedding suit. I believe that was a lie. I don’t know for sure but I think somebody, probably that asshat Nathan, majorly dropped the ball and the suit was never made and rather than own up to it they just blamed it on the dry cleaner, same thing they did with the black shirt, which still never turned up.
Joey definitely tried. He threw a suit together last minute as backup but not the custom suit I ordered. I had a photographer and stylist traveling to Egypt with us and were planning for a specific suit, major bummer for everyone but at this point we’re just happy to have a suit, props to Joey for making that happen at least.
Meanwhile, Joey reached out to the factory to have the correct suit made and would be rush delivered to DHL in Cairo a day after I got there. At the time I was grateful that Joey was trying to save the day but while on vacation, trying to enjoy time with my soon to be wife, I was still worrying about whether my suit would show up or not.. I wasn’t grateful anymore.. Especially after I found my way to the DHL, where a package did in fact show up, and it was completely wrong… no pants, a black and white striped shirt?, and a jacket with random fabrics. Disappointed but glad it was all over with. the backup suit worked and we enjoyed our wedding and the rest of our vacation.
I was promised a refund and after 3 weeks of back and forth and threatening small claims court, I finally got it. worst experience I’ve ever had purchasing anything in my life. Luckily, this was the only issue we had with our wedding and I’m so so so happy I don’t have to deal with it anymore.
