Jackie & Luke are two of the coolest people I've ever met. They are so easy to work with, and their work is amazing! We used them for our engagement and wedding photos. For the engagement shoot, they have two rules: be comfortable and always touch each other! Not hard for two soon-to-be married people to follow that! They spend the whole wedding day out at the venue and get good candid pictures of you and your closest friends getting ready. They help you schedule out all of the pictures which was great for stress-relief. Every bride needs a few things taken off of her plate. They made sure that everyone was comfortable. They are great with kids, twenty-somethings, and adults. They make everyone happy, and they were one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. The engagement pictures were perfect, and I cannot wait to see the wedding pictures!

Jackie and Luke were the perfect photographers! One thing I really wanted was to feel comfortable around our photographer and they always made me feel just that. Jackie is so sweet and even helped me nail down a timeline for the day of the wedding. That helped me a ton because we did not have a wedding planner. Jackie and Luke are not just people you would hire, they become more like your family. Their pricing was great and they even traveled for our Pensacola, FL wedding. The quality of pictures were top notch, I could not have wanted anything more.

The title of this review really says it all. Luke and Jackie truly went above and beyond all we ever expected from wedding photographers. From the first time we met them, we felt completely comfortable and like they wanted to actually get to know us. This was not the experience we had had in meeting other photographers. When the time came for engagement pictures, we were nervous that it would feel awkward and cheesy. Boy, were we wrong! They made the whole experience so fun and so "us". We just hung out and laughed for a while and they captured the whole thing beautifully without making us feel forced or overly posed. Jackie and I met to set out a good plan for the wedding day which really helped provide insight for me since she has so much experience. That day, Jackie spent most of the day with the girls while Luke was hanging out with the boys. In addition to truly incredible photos, the Lucases provided help in the form of emergency sewing, hairdo advice, pandora station selection (you should see the hairbrush microphone pics!), and just general Big Day nervousness calming. We love our photographs. We love Little Acorn. What it really boils down to is this: These two are truly amazing at what they do. They are professional photographers who somehow feel like lifelong friends instead of paparazzi.

Little Acorn was absolutely fantastic. I could not have worked with better photographers. They really listened to what my husband and I wanted and truly made the day very special. The pictures turned out amazing, with such a great variety to choose from. Jackie and Luke were so fun to be around too. I would highly recommend them to anyone, they provide the total package and stay in great communications with you. I especially loved how fast I got the pictures back and the blog post they featured. I could not have asked for anything better!

Little Acorn Photography made my wedding day the most amazing day of my life. Without Jackie and Lucas there to capture every moment it would not have been the same! Jackie is so wonderful with brides and the bridal party, she made sure we had a timeline of pictures, and stuck to it, as well as helped calm me and my crazy self down all day, thank goodness!!! Lucas was so much fun and took the best pictures of the guys, he really was able to capture my husband's personality and I love that because he is a little hard to read sometimes, but not in these pics :) Overall, all of our pictures are absolutely perfect. They totally get our personality and are not just your standard posing wedding pictures, which I definitely am so glad for!! They are funny, sweet, crazy, and sentimental all at the same time, (which is totally us) and I am so happy I have all of those to choose from!!! I didn't cry on my wedding day, but I did when I got the pictures, they were so perfect (I never, ever cry). So that says something haha! I HIGHLY recommend using Little Acorn for any photography you need, I do not have one complaint. They are excellent. From the setting up, the payments, and the picture day. All of it, not one issue! They are also much more affordable than most photographers I have seen in the Montgomery/Birmingham area. However, you wouldn't know it from looking at how amazing the pictures are. Worth every penny!!! SO pleased with everything and we will DEFINITELY be using Little Acorn again for all of our other photos. Love love love them!!! Look them up, now! :)

Not a bad thing to say about these wonderful people! Jackie and Luke were fabulous to work with from day 1. Their experience is evident from the very beginning and they produce beautiful work. We didn't use a wedding planner and they basically acted as our "timekeepers" throughout our wedding day, making sure that everything I wanted done was getting done at the right time. They are mostly interested in getting to know the bride and groom as a couple so they can best capture their relationship in the pictures. We took engagement pictures, bridal portraits and the wedding day portraits and each stage in the process was perfect. The pictures are beautiful and they really captured every detail of our wedding and relationship. We would recommend them to anyone!!

I had followed the Little Acorn blog for several years before my now-husband and I were engaged. As soon as we were picking vendors for our own wedding, I knew exactly who I wanted to photograph our wedding. Jackie and Luke are knowledgeable, professional and prepared for anything. We had our engagement pictures taken in November, with the wedding the following January. Our photos came back in less than a month, which may have been a bonus of not getting married in a non-peak season, and they are everything we wanted them to be! We're thrilled and can't wait to order prints for our home. I strongly encourage anyone to at least speak with Little Acorn before booking their photographer. Don't be discouraged that they are "located" in Montgomery-- they travel!

I can not think of a glitch that happened on our wedding day. They were awesome and so easy to get in touch with! Prior to getting engaged, I had several friends to go through the wedding planning process, and naturally, I, too, had begun my homework on planning my own wedding; after all, every girl begins planning her wedding from a young age, right? Well, as I researched vendors, location, styles, etc., I began to realize that while all of those items were essential, fun, and fabulous, when all was said and done, all that we'd have to take with us were the pictures. Thus, my quest to finding THE perfect photographer became my main focus. Soon after getting engaged, I began narrowing in on photographers whom I wanted to contact and seek additional information, and I must admit, I'm a sucker for a good name, and the name Little Acorn Photography caught my attention early on. When I accessed the online galleries, I instantly fell in love with what I saw. **Side not to mention -- truth be told, during planning, I was a comparative bride; everything was compared in three ways. (I compared three quotes from three separate vendors for EVERYTHING.) With the photography, however, I had NO desire to compare or keep shopping. After contacting and meeting Jackie and Luke Lucas, I knew they were THE perfect pair for our wedding day. After all, you have to consider that aside from your family and wedding party, your photographers are the closest people to you on that day. You want the relationship to be a good one, and we had found, indeed, a very professional, personal and friendly relationship with LAP. Throughout the planning process, LAP did an outstanding job communicating. As a teacher in a my first year of teaching and a bride planning a wedding out of town, it was imperative that I be able to reach vendors via email. Jackie and Luke were very quick when responding, always answered EVERY question, and yes, folks, I had several, and were consistently extremely helpful to provide answers, as well as, guidance. For both engagement and bridal sessions, Jackie and Luke were very creative and worked to establish and maintain a stress free environment. They are very genuine people who truly care about their clients, and their sharp skill set to design and capture moments in the lives of others was evident during each interaction. I am a firm believer that there is NO way I would have made it through the wedding day without this awesome LAP duo. The day of can be very hectic; emotions run high, and it's the smallest details that can be most stressful. Jackie and Luke were able to help all nerves subside, at least for this bride! They were engaging, interactive, and direct when necessary, especially when coordinating such a large wedding party for pictures. At the end of the day, when all of the food was gone, guests had left, and so had we, I was at peace knowing that our incredibly talented photographers had captured our day, and we'd have those memories to take with us. I feel that I could continue to write pages of positive comments about LAP, but to truly know the greatness behind LAP, you must experience them for yourself. After looking all over the web, I finally chose Little Acorn. I loved their blog, it is what won me over. I was also excited that with them we got 2 photographers. That was also a huge factor. I was nervous meeting with them..just in case i didnt think they would get what I wanted or we just would clash. Ya know, all that stuff! But they were wonderful to talk with. They have a variety of packages and prices for everybody. Super easy to talk and work with. My husband liked them a lot too. They helped me also with other things such as coming up with a schedule for our day.( I had no idea what I was doing!) Then the day of, they were so easy going. Made my life a little easier that day! And Jackie was very helpful with my little flower girl who as it turned out was very sleep deprived!!! Anyways! They were great from start to finish. I just posted my wedding and bridal pics to my facebook page. People absolutely love them!

I used little acorn and they were absolutely fantastic. All of my pictures came out wonderful. I wanted a quality photographer and once I found an awesome one I went the cheapest route possible as far as packages go. I kind of regret not having a bridal shoot/ book made, because all of the chances they did have to take photos they really hit the mark, but expenses do add up fast, so maybe it was the right call. I highly recommend Jackie & Lucas, their website is really good to see the quality of photos too. Just didn't compare to any other photographers I saw. Plus the fact that you have two photographers was a real plus for me. Didn't miss an angle!

I don't even know where to begin to describe how amazing Jackie and Lucas are. First, their work speaks for itself (just look at their website!). Gorgeous pictures. It was their professionalism and teamwork, however, that makes working with them a dream. They were always easy to get in contact with during the planning process and quickly had answers to my all of my questions. They were also very reasonable in price and were willing to work with my budget. During the wedding day, they went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did they take amazing pictures, but they were so nice and professional with everyone and worked with the other vendors to help keep things flowing smoothly. I would HIGHLY recommend Little Acorn Photography and I hope to work with them again in the future.

After my husband and I got engaged, I became one of those brides who stressed (indecisively) over ever single decision - we started planning three separate times before we really got the ball rolling and nailed down a date! while I am from Montgomery (where LAP is from), our wedding was going to be a few hours away in Birmingham so originally I looked at Birmingham based photographers. I would say that stumbling across Luke and Jackie was a happy accident, thanks to my sister! I went to church with Luke and his family as a girl and was so glad to get back in touch with him and meet his lovely wife Jackie :). After I had a chance to look at their work, my indecisiveness flew out the window, and I could not be more happy that I went through this journey with them. Throughout the entire 'planning' process, they worked with my every request and supported what I wanted (and when I didn't know what I wanted, they led me in the right direction to get my creativity going!). On the wedding day, Jackie hung out with me and my bridesmaids and fit right in as one of the girls, which made the process so easy and natural when she got into work-mode. She got every picture that I requested, and (of course) all of the creative, beautiful shots that only a pro knows how to frame. My entire wedding party, and many of the guests close to us, have commented on how professional and fun both Luke and Jackie were, which is a hard combo to get right! And after the day was over, they turned around our photos so fast that I was shocked... we had our finished, edited set 10 days after the wedding. It was the perfect return-from-the-honeymoon-wedding-day-nostalgia present! The hardest part of the whole process with LAP has been choosing which photo I want on a canvas for our wall, because there are so many favorites ;). What it comes down to is that on top of being a lovely couple, these two are absolute pros, a joy to work with, reasonably priced, and will capture the memories that are so important to you. As my husband and I start our family, I am positive we will be seeing Luke and Jackie again - I'm looking forward to it!

From the moment we met Jackie and Luke, we knew that we wanted them to be our wedding photographers. At our first visit we were able to see examples of their work and were able to talk to them to customize our wedding photo package to include what was important to us at a very reasonable price. From that first day they answered our every question and email in a very timely manner. At our engagement photo shoot, they worked with what we had in mind and incorporated some of their own style and ideas. We knew then that we had made the right decision for our wedding photographers! Their style fit in perfectly with our wedding day...they are down to earth, easy to communicate with and alot of fun. They fit right in with our friends and families at our wedding and really helped keep the whole day relaxed and running smoothly (which I appreciated as the bride!) We have also been thrilled with the turn around time of all of our photos, since some companies take months to get your wedding photos back to you! We have been 100% satisfied with Jackie and Luke throughout this whole process, and love each and every one of our engagement and wedding pictures.

It was great working with Little Acorn. Jackie and Luke are friendly, professional, talented and creative. They were really easy to work with and communicating via email always garners a prompt response. Each time I review my photos, I like them more and more. My package came with a disc of 250 images and I am still trying to narrow it down, which is harder than I thought. Their style is not trendy, and no over-used photoshop filters. Just clean, good quality images. Luke has a good eye for interesting angles and fun detail shots and Jackie is organized, leads portraits, and captures all the big moments. They are a great team!

I feel so lucky to have had Jackie and Luke capture our wedding this past May. As someone who was overwhelmed by the wedding planning process, I was grateful for their guidance throughout the entire photography planning process. They not only captured all of our magical moments, but were so well prepared that our multitude of family photos post ceremony were not only beautifully shot, but also done so swiftly, so we could get down to the true business of celebrating. And the live action shots of the festivities were amazing as well. Even though the entire night felt like it was a total blur, I was able to relive every magical moment once I received the photographs. They are truly worth a thousand words, and will serve as a cherished reminder of our big day as the years go by!

Where to even begin? Our experience with Little Acorn Photography was amazing! For starters, Jackie and Luke were so helpful with all the pre-wedding decisions. They worked with us on a package that suited our wants/needs, helped us make the photography "checklist", and even met us at the venues beforehand to see where they would be shooting and get some creative ideas. Being a "type-A" person and not so creative I was initially very stressed about how the day-of photos would go and how they would turn out. After meeting with Jackie and Luke I felt completely at ease! As for the big day... I could not have asked for more organized and professional photographers. Jackie and Luke had the list of traditional shots and family shots we wanted and were able to get them all while still capturing candids and creative shots. They made the effort to know the family and wedding party and include everyone. The timeline they had made for us worked out perfect AND they did all of this with smiles on their faces! Being the bride, and having about a million other things on my plate that day, it was so nice not to have to stress about photography. When we got our pictures back we were SO pleased with the results! I tear up every time I look though them! The photos truly capture the magic of the day and we are so grateful for that. Lastly, and what I believe to be the most important, we always felt like Little Acorn truly cared about our wedding and the end result. I had almost convinced myself that finding an affordable, professional, and modern photographer for my Alabama wedding was impossible. That is...until I met Jackie and Luke at Little Acorn Photography (LAP). I first came across their work when my best friend shared her bridal portraits with me. They were so striking, I think I actually cried (which, for those who know me, is no shock). When I began planning a wedding of my own, I didn't initially look to LAP, since they were based in Montgomery and I lived on the coast. I thought I could never afford the unspeakable luxury of traveling photographers. I was wrong. Jackie and Luke are incredibly accommodating, a wonderful trait I didn't find in many other photographers. They worked with us to create a personally-tailored package that met our specific needs and price point. They had a wonderful portfolio and their finished products (photo books, cds) were truly beautiful. We were impressed. With all that said, what really stuck with us (and the reason I want to write this review) was the way Jackie and Luke treated us throughout the whole process. Though they must have had countless other weddings, babies, engagements, and graduations to worry about, Jackie and Luke made us feel like their only clients. They took time to ask and answer questions. They were quick to respond to emails, they learned the names of our loved ones, they were kind and professional and had obvious passion--both for our event and for their profession. On the big day, they were cool, calm, and collected. They worked as a wonderful team in 90 degree heat to take over 750 breathtaking photos. My biggest problem has been choosing which ones to put in the photo book. Simply put: We love Jackie and Luke because they treated us like family. If you're looking for a talented photographer team that will care every bit as much about your wedding as you do...look no further!

I do not know where to begin to describe this couple. They are FANTASTIC! They took the time to get to know everyone's name, had the best personalities, and captured moments and made them so very beautiful. Jackie and Luke worked with me to get a photography package that fit my wants, and took the time to work out all the details down to the day. I still can't believe the beautiful photos I will have to show my children on day. They captured the spirit of a New Orleans Wedding, and charmed everyone while they were there. By far everything we could have asked for and more! Jackie and Luke were WAY more than just our photographers, not to mention our pictures (that we have seen so far - including the engagement and bridal sessions) are the BEST! My fiance and I had out engagement photos taken by Jackie and Luke in October of 2010. They were fun, easy-going and very professional. Jackie suggested creative shots without being pushy or making us do awkward poses. She gave us 2 full hours of time and was shooting constantly. Our proofs were ready in less than 2 weeks and every request was met! The online picture gallery was easy to view and order prints from. Jackie and Luke helped me design a one-of-a-kind photo save the date postcard for a very reasonable price. They were very responsive to e-mails as well. When I started my wedding photographers search, I was overwhelmed, to say the least. After all, photos of your wedding last forever (hopefully alongside the marriage)! When I met Jackie and Luke I immediately saw fresh talent. Their approach was just what I was looking for. They create photos that are more than just traditional shots, they give their work an artistic, expressive, modern twist. Their work definitely exceeded any expectations I had, they went above and beyond what a normal wedding photographer would do.
