Jackie's Cake Boutique

y husband is English and it is tradition to have a fruit cake as a wedding cake--she made one from a recipe we had given her and it was incredible! On top of all of this, she was a pleasure to work with and her excitement for what she does shines through! She was very communicative to give us exactly what we wanted---I cannot say enough incredible things about her!

at from the moment we spoke on the phone. We went for a cake tasting that was fun and delicous. Jackie is so talented and friendly. The vanilla cake was fresh and moist with wonderful "cookies and cream" filling. We decided to only have wedding cake for dessert because the cake was so fabulous. Every piece of cake was eaten-no leftovers except the top! The best cake ever ! ! !

The cake was black and white, and decorated with jewelry, and it looked very classy and fancy at the same time. Jackie was so nice and very patient with us, and designed a cake that perfectly fit our personalities ! She let us try all the different flavors of her cakes, and they were all so tasty that it was difficult to make a decision...We finally decided to go for the amazing Nutella and banana combination and also the S'Mores. And it was a big hit at the wedding. We are already looking forward to our first wedding anniversary so we can eat the top of the cake that we saved in our freezer ( if it will last that long )!

n love with one of the cakes she created for another wedding and wanted her to replicate it exactly. It was a 4 tier cake with handmade sugar flowers. The inside was white cake with white chocolate icing, raspberry icing, and fresh blueberries and strawberries. It was delicious as was every other cake we tried when we did our tastings. She always had extra cake on hand and we couldn't help ourselves but eat all the samples. We enjoyed working with Jackie- she is a sweet woman who loves what she does...and for being a one woman shop, she does alot. We would highly recommend working with her on cakes or cupcakes. Not only do they look beautiful, they taste incredible.

meet her. Sue from ABOVE arranged our meeting because our cake was included in the wedding package at ABOVE ROOFTOP. We knew that if they exclusively deal with this particular person, we would be in good hands. What we didn't know, was that we would feel sooo much at home. The minute we walked in, we felt as though we had sat down at Jackie's kitchen table. She was like a mom, serving us cake and cookies, and asking questions about our day. She wasn't selling us on her services. She didn't have to! When someone welcomes you into their home, and hugs you and treats you like family, you know that person is special. But not only is she one of the nicest people, SHE's a TRUE ARTIST! She showed us some of her past work and she gave me a tour of her kitchen. Not only has she made some beautiful wedding cakes, she as made some amazing sugar sculptures as well! a true artist. Since the cake was included, we had honestly expected that we were going to be shown 5 or 6 styles of cake, and that we would choose a flavor and a style and be on our way. BUT WE WERE WRONG!!! She completely customized it for us, added some color in the right places to match our bouquets, and even added an extra layer for some WOW factor. and there was SUCH wow factor. It looks as though it had been draped in lace sashes, pale pink flowers, an hand crafted details. We chose CANNOLI NUTELLA which was the best possible choice for us because we love NUTELLA, but again, Jackie has so many options to fit any taste. SHE CAN DO ANYTHING! We love her and are so blessed to have had her be a part of our special day!

, by the end of the call promised she would figure out a way to make it for us. When we first met, Jackie & Frank made us feel like family. It was like we knew them for years & we were just meeting up with family for some cake, milk & good conversation! At that point, meeting with any other baker was the farthest thing from our minds & we signed the contract. Jackie was so excited to hear our ideas and it seemed like she couldn't wait to bring it to life. She wanted to make sure we had exactly what we wanted while keeping our budget in mind. Jackie made us feel like our cake was the only thing she would be working on for the next 7 months. Communication was frequent & Jackie never made us feel like a bother; she literally couldn't do enough for us. If a new idea would pop into mind, we would text a picture to Jackie & she was immediately on a mission. Jackie would call us with ideas & updates or to let us know she went on a trip to the city & found something great for our cake. She would call to let us know she had a new idea to meet our dietary needs, it was as if she never stopped thinking about making it perfect for us! The hardest part about working with Jackie: flavor selection, they were all so delicious! The day before our wedding Jackie sent a video of our almost completed cake & the tears were flowing, it was more beautiful than words can describe. It was such a gorgeous glitzy work of art. We are still receiving compliments about the beauty and deliciousness of our cake. Jackie made a special side cake & the top layer to meet the dietary needs - that was so delicious, we could have served that to our guests & no one would have known. and what a great decision we made to choose Jackie's Cake Boutique. Our cake was artwork and was delicious! Everyone oohed and ahhed over the cake- the cake was our wedding invitation theme- the Kiss by Gustav Klimt. The cake was delivered on time but our vendor didn't know where the cake was, Jackie and her husband answered our call quickly and were able to tell us exactly who signed for the cake- very professional- never blaming just helpful- thank you!
