Jacob Maarse Floral Design

Absolutely beautiful! So happy that we hired Jacob Maarse Florist for our daughter's wedding personals (bouquets, corsages, ...) and reception florals. We worked with David Navarro, lead designer, who understood our vision and exceeded our expectations. Very professional and accommodating! We had 2 mock trials before the wedding to get the floral colors & design just right, and they even pulled the fire permit required by our venue for the 35 real cylindrical candles. Our guests loved the mix of designs from tall centerpieces, low centerpieces, king table garlands, asymmetrical sweetheart table, and cascading cake florals. We also used them for other decor rentals (mercury glass votives, pedestal glass candles, gold candlesticks and geometric hurricane lamps). Highly recommended for weddings and events!

David is amazing to work with. I had no idea what I wanted or what to expect but he made my ideas come to life better than anticipated! He was also very accommodating to any changes I needed to make through the process.

David and his team worked hand in hand with our Elopement planning team (LA Elopements) and created something far beyond what my wildest dreams imagined they would pull together for our private ceremony! Not only did he run with my simple guidance of "Love Black Calla Lilies, hate roses" to create a breathtaking bouquet, he and our planner created a full fall scene with florals, greenery, lanterns (filled with hand collected fallen leaves from the venue), and PUMPKINS something I love but was unsure we could make happen in LA! They transformed the fountain into a special alter just for us and I wanted to stay and stare at it all day long. He also helped to create a beautiful tablescape for our private lunch in the park. His ability to capture my vision with such little direction was impeccable and I highly recommend his services, no matter how big or small your event will be! He absolutely made our day and I can't thank him enough!

Incredible customer service, gorgeous bouquet, and floral arrangements. David was very kind, professional and attentive. Highly recommend to anyone getting married in Los Angeles area. Will definitely use their services for other family members weddings and parties.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about David and his team at Jacob Maarse! We had a difficult time choosing a florist for our wedding, as it was hard to know from looking at pictures who would be able to bring our vision to life. We ended up choosing to work with David because of the support he and his team would be able to provide our other creative vendors and the glowing recommendation from our wedding planner. Boy, did they deliver! David and his team worked seamlessly with our wedding planner/designer and balloon vendor. Everything looked gorgeous, and we received tons of compliments. One of the things we especially loved about working with David is how well he listened to feedback during our mock up. Even though we weren’t able to articulate very well what we wanted to change, he went and pulled flowers from the back and worked on the arrangement while we were there. The next version we saw was for our engagement photo shoot, and we were blown away. We can’t recommend David and his team at Jacob Maarse enough!

Being familiar with Jacob Maarse I had very high expectations after I hired them for my wedding - those expectations weren’t only met but honestly so far surpassed! David was my main point of contact throughout the entire process. He is a true professional and incredibly pleasant and fun to work with - he was so mindful of what I wanted and also very helpful when I wasn’t sure exactly what it was that I wanted - his overall expertise and demeanor made me feel so comfortable just letting him take the reigns and I’m so glad he did because he totally delivered! I truly could not be more pleased.

I cannot say enough good things about David Navarro of Jacob Maarse! He did all of the floral for my daughter's wedding in early April and is such an amazing, creative professional! He literally creates magic! He is an attentive listener who can actually create what you have in your mind. Only better! We are very particular and wanted a unique tablescape while at the same time wanted it to be very elegant, classic and timeless. He listened to everything my daughter wanted, from garden roses, to elongated tablescapes, to an elegant twist on outdoor floral for the ceremony and EVERYTHING turned out better than we could have imagined or hoped for! Our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. Pure magic! David is a consummate professional, a pleasure to work with and made the whole experience so much fun! His whole team is very professional and genuinely excited about your event. David was great at creating a spectacular floral story while respecting your budget at the same time. David is someone we will continue to work with in the future for all of our floral needs - big or small. He is quite simply THE BEST!

David Navarro, lead designer, is a master!!! In just a few words from me he knew exactly what I wanted for my future daughter-in-law's shower. I merely told him my colors and desired vessel size. He asked how many would attend, and within minutes emailed me the exact vessel I mentioned! (Mint julep cups). He transormed a plain, yet elegant room into a breathtakingly beautiful venue. People from other parties came by to take photos of our room!!!! He is absolutely the best there is!!

Jacob Maarse's Lead Designer David Navarro Is The Best There Is! David Navarro is truly the crème de la crème... the very best. To say that I am elated that he did the florals for my wedding would be a gross understatement. To know David to is to love him, and I could not be more grateful that he played such an incredibly integral part of making my wedding vision come to life. My mom and I came to David with very high expectations and a very particular taste in mind; we shared with him my exact aesthetic vision for my wedding and told him that I did not want my wedding to look "cookie cutter," but rather feel like the chicest dinner party imaginable. David is extremely reliable, professional, and as creative as it gets. His creativity is simply unmatched, as is his flexibility. I was not only very particular, but I also did not wish to have an obscene floral budget, and he truly made everything work perfectly based upon my needs and asks. From day one, he was on the same wavelength as me, and always picked up on my references, likes, & dislikes -- he even knew of the exact photo I was talking about from a 2012 Vogue wedding feature! It doesn't get more detailed than David Navarro. He came up with a myriad of ideas for my wedding that I had not seen before, and everything was even more beautiful and unique than I could have ever dreamt up in my mind! The kings table arrangements he created for my long dinner tables were spectacular - they made for tablescapes truly like no other... they were the most beautiful that I have seen. He also sourced for me a stunning array of candelabrum and candlesticks that gave the night the glow that I was after. My bouquet was an absolute dream, as were my sisters', mom's, and mother-in-law's. Even my husband, my dad, and father-in-law commented on how they loved their boutonnières. The pièce de résistance of the night were the incredible trees David's team handcrafted for me - these had the look and feel of gorgeous cherry blossoms, but took on a more ivory hue to match my event. I had told David I didn't want the typical flower arch or arbour for my outdoor ceremony, and of course he thought of the perfect pivot of this for my day. These trees were focal points in both my ceremony and my dinner, and were a star of the night. My guests took as many pictures of David's marvelous trees as they did with my husband and I! David is a true master of his craft - the most talented florist I have ever met! I recommend him to everyone, whether they are getting married, hosting any type of event large or more intimate, or just need an extraordinary arrangement. The thought and care that David put into making my wedding so fabulous will not be forgotten!

Working with David Navarro and Jacob Maarse was the best decision we made. David was so great at interpreting what my son and his bride wanted for their wedding and reception flowers. The flowers were so beautiful, incorporated all of the colors needed, and they really took our breath away. Such a great experience. You will be well taken care of by David and his team. David Navarro was the florist that put together my bridal arrangement and bridesmaids bouquets. I consulted with him about a month before the wedding. I presented him with pictures of flower arrangements that I liked as well as a brief summary of what I wanted my bouquets to look like. He did a great job about executing my vision and I ended up receiving a lot of compliments on my bouquets. Thank you David! -Kate

David Navarro is the best! I couldn’t have imagined anything more beautiful for my wedding! Not only was my bouquet on point but the bridesmaids’ bouquets were beautiful too! I just told him my vision and he brought it to life! Definitely would recommend him! Non stop compliments all night!

David Navarro was great to work with. We asked for a textured, wildflower look, and he was skillful about knowing flowers that were in season, identifying flowers from pictures, and turning our vague descriptions into something beautiful. He was calm, friendly, and responsive throughout and easy to work with.

I absolutely cannot recommend David and his team more highly. I feel like he is a part of my family now with how much I love him. I had to change the budget a few times, increasing here, taking some back there, and he was always able to work so easily with me. When I arrived to meet him for the first time, he had my favorite flowers sitting in the center of the table with lit candles. When I came the second time, he had a nearly finished centerpiece there to surprise me! I always felt like his top priority. He even came to my wedding to set up the flowers ON HIS BIRTHDAY! Every guest said that I had the most gorgeous bridal bouquet they had ever seen. And one of my guests was an event coordinator for weddings. You will absolutely never regret hiring this team.

I have used Jacob Maarse for many events. The most recent was my daughter’s wedding. The flowers were beautiful! David was detailed, professional and dependable in his approach. He was attentive to our needs and requests and creative at the same time. Everything was delivered on time and handled in a professional way. I did not worry for a minute about the flowers because I knew I was in great hands!!

David Navarro and his team did an incredible and unforgettable job on our wedding flowers. David Navarro and his team did such an incredible job designing our florals for our wedding day at Rancho Las Lomas. David was always accesible to speak with when I needed to talk about my vision for the florals, etc. He previously did florals for my sisters wedding in 2015 and everything turned out beautiful. I fully trusted he understood my vision as he attended planning meetings with my coordinator, and vendors such as 24 Carrots, etc. His artistic ability to put together colors and textures in a floral arrangement is out of this world! Marina is absolutely wonderful to work with. She spent so much time planning florals and designing my wedding. My wedding was so beautiful and my guests were in awe. She's amazing, I plan to work with her on future events as well. She is an amazing designer even when I didn't have any idea what I wanted she helped me decide and plan the wedding of my dreams.

David was awesome! My floral arrangements were everything I was hoping for and more. I walked into my reception and was in aw with how amazing the floral arrangements looked! Throughout the planning process David was transparent, detail oriented and punctual. On my wedding day David was very organized and had everything delivered on time. The guests wont stop talking about how beautiful everything looked, there were no arrangements left after the reception was over (everyone took them home). David Navarro and the team did an absolutely phenomenal job with the floral arrangements for my outdoor wedding. I couldn't have asked for anything more, and I would pick him as a vendor again in a heartbeat! We had a ceremony arch (which doubled as a backdrop for our sweetheart table during the reception), bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces...you name it. On top of that, David provided an old barrel and hurricane candles for our candle ceremony - a barrel that doubled as the stand for our wedding cake later on. He was responsive to all needs and (let's be honest) whims and made sure that I was happy with everything that was provided. Absolutely stunning work that was enjoyed and appreciated by everyone at the wedding!

David Navarro designed all of the floral arrangements for my wedding, which included an arch, various bouquets and boutonnieres, cocktail table centerpieces, and centerpieces for the reception. At our initial meeting, I gave him a rough idea of what I was looking for and he executed on my vision even better than I could have imagined! The flowers were beautiful and everyone at the wedding couldn’t stop commenting on how unique the flowers were. Not only did David transform my wedding venue, but he was also extremely easy to work with. He was quick to respond to emails, set up the wedding venue on time as promised (including delivering my bouquet to my parent’s house for photos before the wedding), and even transferred the arch from the ceremony to the reception during the cocktail hour without the guests noticing. He and his team worked quickly and discreetly the day of, which amazed my Mom and many of the other wedding guests. I would highly recommend David to anyone looking for a skilled florist to design unique and gorgeous floral arrangements for any special occasion!

They truly went above and beyond, even using some of the ribbon we tossed their way to wrap boutonierres and set up table centerpieces with extra care! Such a lovely, passionate florist to work with. Love you, Marina!

His nickname is the Governor (real name Dennis), and you can trust him to do everything you need. I didnt even give him any instruction other than the colors of the wedding. He did not disappoint; everything was perfect. If you dont micromanage you will be completely satisfied.

I had the most amazing boquet and the table arrangements were awesome. They did forget a couple things, though.

Have used them for local deliveries. Did a fantastic job for the wedding. Always come up with beautiful creations. Especially liked the flowers hanging from the trees. Dennis is great!!

I loved our flowers. Especially our bridesmaids bouquets which were amazing with tulips and roses together. Marina at Jacob Maarse was really great to work with.

Dennis at Jacob Maarse did the floral arrangements for my entire wedding. Although he does not use email, he and my mother communicated about the arrangements -- entire ceremony site and reception centerpieces. We were astounded when we arrived for the wedding to see that Dennis had decorated Everything!! He decorated the cake with flowers, decorated the entire cake table, decorated the guest book area, added extra flowers to the site. It was Amazing!!! ALL of the flowers were beautiful, fresh, and artfully arranged. I could not have been any happier! When I arrived for my wedding, I was informed that Dennis is a "fixture" around Pasadena and always provides the best arrangements. True story. Truly impressive!

I worked with Dennis who is beyond amazing. I gave very little direction on the flowers and he and his staff completely created the vision I was hoping for. My flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, cake table and sweetheart table were a dream come true. I would highly recommend.
