We stumbled on Jacob Yackley through the Knot and we couldn’t be more happier that we did. We decided to inquire about his services and he instantly initiated a phone call to get a better idea of what we wanted in a videographer and get a sense for our style. After letting him know we were interested in filming in super 8 – he showed as much enthusiasm and openness as we had about the idea, that we instantly knew he we would be a perfect fit for us. While some videographers have a specific style they like to stick with, he was extremely open to our vision. This was a big plus, because having someone who was interested in our style was really important to us. Throughout our wedding day, he directed us and made us feel comfortable throughout the process – something that could be difficult especially if you’re not use to being on camera. In the end, our wedding film came out amazing, not only because he was able to capture the tiny/intimate moments you want to remember forever but also because we could see the love and time he put into our film. We 10/10 recommend him for your special day!

Jacob, Very easy to work with, and made our video exactly what we wanted. He worked directly with me on edits to make sure my wife and I were happy with the finished product. Jacob Yackley is the ABSOLUTE best! He captured every special moment of our wedding. Jacob took the time to get to know my husband and I before our big day and we were in awe of his professionalism, courtesy, demeanor, creativity, timeliness, and his laid back vibe. As I said, Jacob caught every moment, but it was almost as if he wasn't there. As much as I love Jacob, it was so amazing to see the footage from our wedding when I didn't even realize he was filming. I really appreciated the fact that it didn't feel like there was a camera in my face at any point during our entire wedding! Jacob is absolutely outstanding. When you first beginning to think about what you want in videographer for your special day, you will think how important it is that they capture the big moments: the vows, the first look, the speeches, etc. There are thousands of such videographers. However, once you begin to think about what is important, you will be concerned with all those special little moments that constitute the texture of that surreal day. When you watch your video, you want to feel what you felt on that day: not just the big moments: those are vivid enough, the little details are what reanimate that day on video when you share it with your kids and grandchildren. Jacob has the special and rare ability to capture the texture of the day with his lens. All of the big moments were captured and preserved in a beautiful manner. My wife and I were in tears again when we finally got to see the finish product. On top of his artistry, Jacob is a professional. He made the process of ascertaining what we wanted, handling logistics, and booking him seemless. Jacob with a joy and calming presence to be around on the big day and was invisible to all, unless it was necessary for him to direct and instruct: in which case he was helpful and professional. If you are considering videography for your wedding: I would suggest Jacob is the artist to preserve your special day. We are beyond thankful that we chose him.

Jacob is top notch! Great communication throughout the whole process. Wanted to get to know my bride and I before the wedding so it could be a reflection of our personalities and what our expectations were. He arrived at the venue early and immediately got to work. He is very easy going to work with, funny, and a fantastic videographer. He came very prepared, recorded us reciting our vows beforehand, put a mic on me for our first look, recorded audio straight from the microphone during the ceremony, had lighting for speeches which took place after nightfall, etc... He worked seamlessly with our photographers. Overall, we are so happy that we were able to have Jacob as our videographer for our wedding, we would recommend and use him again 100% If you want a beautiful video and a great/seamless experience, use Jacob Yackley Films. What a wonderful experience! Jacob is not only reliable, and kind he is extremely talented. We decided on a videographer last minute and Jacob was more than accommodating and helpful in making us make a decision! Jacob dealt with unplanned rain and changed venue space with ease and created a video we will show our family forever! Can’t say enough good things about Jacob! He is true talent and his passion really shines through in his work. I had so many people ask for his information after seeing and loving our wedding video. I still refer friends and family to him to this day - in fact my best friend recently hired him for her wedding in July! He is professional and comfortable to work with - you will barely even notice he’s there on your big day as he works his magic! If you’re not sure you want to spend the extra money on a videographer (like I was), I can tell you it was so worth it and we love having it to look back on!
