About this vendor
Your wedding day is one of the most most fun days of your life. I want you to be able to enjoy that. To dance with your best friend, to take that inward breath right before you walk down the aisle, and to celebrate with your favorite humans when you are finally freaking married. Even better, I want you to live in every moment of that while having it documented so you can relive it over and over again.
Just know from the get-go that anything is okay, and there is no need to hold back. This means crowd-surfing couples, emotional tears, and hysterical laughter, searching downtown Buffalo for tequila shots. However, you want to show your love, and quiet moments with dear humans, I'm in.
I want you to look at your photos and go "holy sh*t, that's me."

After the day is over, all you have is the photos! Because of this, choosing a photographer was very important to us, and we're thrilled to have found Jackie. She was easy to work with, and so so talented. She's a true professional with a great eye and even during some stressful parts of our wedding day, helped to calm us down and make sure we got a perfect day.
I cannot say enough positive things about Jackie. She is such an amazing person and I loved having her around on our big day. She made our portraits go so smoothly and my guests loved her. She made sure that anyone at the reception that wanted photos together got them and they raved about her for months afterwards! I highly recommend her. Her photos are seriously gorgeous, we got a preview the next day which was SO exciting and she writes such touching blog posts about your day on her site. Working with her was honestly like having another friend with you the whole day!
WOW. Where do we even begin with Jackie. From the second she arrived at our hotel the morning of our wedding, she was without a doubt amazing. To start off, our wedding was at St. Aloysius church and the reception was at the Statler. When Jackie arrived she had nothing but positive energy all around. Photography was probably the most nerve wrecking part on our end because my husband and I are sort of awkward and uncomfortable with photos at times! She was able to make us feel extremely comfortable, heard, and special the entire day. She had tips and tricks and was able to help out during the day without making myself or my bridal party feel like we were less superior in wedding knowledge. We have seen and heard about wedding photographers controlling the day and being bossy to get good shots, but this was certainly not the case. She fit in with our group amazingly and made all of us laugh during the process. I even had friends come up to me after the wedding who were guests that complimented her personality and ability to make them feel special. When our blog post went up, we were BLOWN AWAY. The photos captured amazing moments as if you could walk right into the image and be there. They were artistic, unique, and beautiful. I almost was in tears scrolling through the photos because you can actually feel the emotion in them. I cannot put into words how amazing Jacqueline Connor photography is and would refer her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
Where to begin.... Jackie was pure magic from start to finish. She is a very laid back but effective person, which suits her perfectly for the role of wedding photographer. My husband, bridesmaids and I were talking about how at times, we didn't even know she was there, but all the while she was taking beautiful shots that we will cherish forever. She directed us gently and got all of the photos with the specific people we requested, and then went above and beyond by asking our guests if they'd like to pose for photos. We spent a few hours after the church driving around Buffalo.. stopped at spots like Hoyt Lake, the graffiti at 710 Main theater, and Cantina Loco (our first date spot), and Jackie (and her partner for the day, Will), took excellent, fun, effortless photos. I am SO that person that DREADS being photographed, as is my husband. Not once did we feel embarrassed or ridiculous by the poses requested.. although I'm sure the liquid courage helped a little bit! She got the photos finished in a timely manner (about 6 weeks) and we could easily access them online, but she also send a USB with all of our pics on it for safekeeping! The prints we ordered are just gorgeous, and are not displayed on our mantle. I am SO happy that I made the decision of choosing Jackie for our wedding day.... I cannot wait to use her again in the future for more of life's milestones! <3
My husband and I purchased the full-day package with two photographers with Jacqueline Connor Photography. Now that we’ve worked with Jackie (and Will on the wedding day) and gotten our pictures back, I know without a doubt that we made the right decision!
6 weeks before the wedding, she sent over a very detailed timeline form where I could list who we would want pictures of and when for the posed family and wedding party shots. It was an organized person’s dream!
I met Jackie for the first time at the hair salon the morning of the wedding day. She was a perfect fit right from the start! It felt more like having another friend there than like we had a photographer with us. This was HUGE for me, because her presence didn’t add an ounce of stress. In fact, more than once throughout the day she even helped diffuse stressful situations! If you want a total pro on your wedding day, that alone makes Jackie right for the job.
We did our first look and group pictures before the ceremony. Jackie captured some really beautiful shots of my mom helping me with my dress, then we waited for the signal that Matt was ready for me. It took longer than I expected, and Jackie somehow reassured me that we were doing fine on time without actually acknowledging that it was even a concern. We did the first look outside, near the archway Matt’s dad had built for us, and Jackie held my dress up over the puddles on the walk over. Once I got to my starting spot, she was hands-off. These are some of my favorite pictures! Jackie framed the shots beautifully and really captured our genuine reactions.
For the group shots, Jackie was incredibly organized. She had everyone moving so efficiently! We took a variety of family arrangement photos, plus a whole bunch of different wedding party pictures, in less than half an hour.
During the ceremony, I don’t remember seeing Jackie or Will at all. I may have just had tunnel vision because I was so happy, but even so it was nice not to be distracted from the moment by the person who’s supposed to be capturing it.
Matt and I took the cocktail hour for our couple shots, and it was one of the happiest hours of my life. Jackie was the perfect amount of present – she let us revel in our newlyweddedness and kept saying the perfect thing, like “You guys are MARRIED!” It felt like she was truly ecstatic for us. Every time she said something like that, it would bring out the big smiles and laughs and looking-into-each-others’-eyes, and THAT’S what she captured. She very rarely asked us to pose in a certain way. Instead, she took pictures of us being ourselves, being excited, and being in love. I can’t thank her enough for those pictures.
The reception and dance floor pictures came out great too. That lighting is always difficult to shoot in, but somehow Jackie and Will used it to their advantage. And they captured my brother-in-law breakdancing!
The reasons for only 4 out of 5 stars are that our photos were made available to us over a week after the contract deadline, and that the people on the ends of some of the larger, more linear family/bridal party shots are out of focus. That added some stress during the holiday season since I was hoping to give photo albums to my parents while I was in town for Christmas, but Jackie did send some of her favorite pictures as high-quality matte prints along with the flash drive for the inconvenience, and she did her best to sharpen the blurry people in the linear group shots.
Where do we even begin... from the first time my husband and I met with Jackie, we knew she was going to be an amazing fit as our photographer for the wedding day! She is so personable and easy to get along with! She also was great at getting back to us if we had any questions or concerns along the way. We first had our engagement pictures done with Jackie - we were a little nervous as we weren't used to getting professional pictures taken, but Jackie made us feel completely at ease! We were so excited to have her booked for the wedding because we knew she captured those amazing, intimate moments in such a perfect way. On our wedding day, she almost was like an additional bridesmaid or wedding coordinator. I was so nervous about the weather and she completely calmed me down, promising it wouldn't rain during the ceremony - and it didn't!
We just received our wedding pictures back a few days ago and we are BLOWN AWAY! Jackie is just so talented and we were and are still impressed with every single photo. Our family and friends are just raving about the pictures. At the end of the night, she was in the middle of the dance floor taking pictures to get some great shots! Overall, we can't recommend Jackie enough. Choose her, you will not be disappointed! Thank you Jackie for everything, you were absolutely amazing!
Jackie was amazing to work with. She made us feel right at home and had us laughing the entire time. Jackie helped me like a bridesmaid would, fixing my hair for photos, pinning my step dads photo to my bouquet when I totally had no idea how to do it, and was a complete joy to work with. She captured all the moments I will now treasure forever. I now trust her with all my big life events to capture! Thanks Jackie!
Jackie did a amazing job we could not be happier . She completely understood my vision for my wedding day and nailed it . She was very helpful and is such a sweet and kind person .
We've seen the magic Jackie has worked for other weddings and it played a big part of choosing her to be our photographer. She pays close attention to detail and will do anything within her power to give you the best photos imaginable. Jackie uses a photojournalistic approach to her pictures and it is exactly what we wanted. She is quirky and fun, which helps keep things enjoyable on one of the best - but stressful - days of your life. Sometimes you don't even realize she's there and gets the best shot in the process!
