Owner Jacqueline Babek has been dancing all her life. Eventually, along with performing as a dance professional in NYC (off broadway, commercials, and music videos), Jacqueline found a passion for teaching. Specifically to NON-DANCERS. Being a professional ballroom dancer and instructor, it opened up Jacqueline to the Wedding Industry. Where she learned that she absolutely loves teaching non-dancers how to connect with each other and feel confident together out on the dance floor. As well as getting to be a part of their special day in a way in which they can use those skills forever throughout their life, not just the wedding!
Jacqueline offers groups, wedding privates, and ballroom/latin private classes. Both in person and over Zoom.
If you're located in NYC- Jacqueline can travel to your apt, or teach you at a private studio space in Midtown.
Jacqueline also has a studio rental space out on Long Island. (Huntington & Carle Place)
Each lesson is personalized and catered to exactly what YOU want. Whatever you envision for your wedding, whether it's a few sways and a simple turn, or if you want Dancing With The Stars- Jacqueline can make it happen! Jacqueline will always listen to a couple's input and accommodate anything as best as she can!
In addition to first dances, she also does parent dances, bachelorette parties, and corporate team bonding dance lessons!

Congratulations on your special day. My name is Jacqueline and I’m a professional actor/dancer in NYC. I started specializing teaching wedding couples in 2016 at Arthur Murray and FELL IN LOVE with the process. Teaching non dancers how to connect with each other on one of the most special days of their lives is a magical feeling. We HIGHLY recommend Jackie for dance lessons! Jackie made us feel comfortable immediately and gave us a great baseline and direction for how to go through our first dance at our wedding. She listened to what we were envisioning and delivered perfectly without making it too much or too little. She’s very responsive and easy to work with. If you’re looking for a great instructor, look no further!

My husband and I worked with Jackie to learn the choreography for our first dance. Jackie came up with a routine that was personalized to the song we selected and taught it to us quickly. We had a lot of fun during the lessons as well! Many of our guests complimented our routine afterwards.
Jackie was so great to work with - professional, positive, communicative, and responsive. She made us feel so comfortable too.
We cannot recommend her enough! She will make your wedding dance perfect and provide the best experience along the way!

Jacqueline is UNREAL. One of the most patient, friendly, and sharp vendors I worked with. I made a decision a few months out from my wedding to carve out monthly dance dates with dad for our father daughter dance. We’d do our sessions with Jacqueline and then go out to dinner, which was very sweet and special.
Jaqueline was SO patient with us, so thoughtful, SO FUN. We started with two classes and quickly continued to add on more for fun because we couldn’t get enough. Our last one she even came over to my parents class for a 90 minute session so we could have some fun learning extra salsa steps for fun. She is an absolute workhorse and a pleasure to be around.
After my dad and I danced at the wedding one of the staff from Hudson Horns came up and said it was the most elegant father daughter dance he’d seen. My dad and I will keep these memories forever.

My wife and I used Jackie to prepare for our first dance and she was fantastic! She was really helpful in crafting a choreography that was appropriate for our skill level (beginner) while still making it look elegant. Jac was literally the BEST TEACHER. We had ONE sessions 2 weeks before the wedding to lock something down and she got it done for us. She was so sweet & knowledgable & warm - it was such a fun lesson especially when my husband was a little on the fence about it. He had such a great time. We slayed the routine Jac came up with for us and all of the guests loved it! We are in no way pro dancers - but with Jac's helped she made us into a pair for our first wedding dance! Thanks Jac<3

Jackie was AMAZING! Neither of us had dance experience and after 3 lessons we had the perfect choreographed dance for our first wedding dance. For our wedding my partner and I decided to do a medley of songs for a surprise dance! Jacqueline was so helpful and she made the sessions so fun as well! My partner and I had SO much fun at our lessons with Jackie! She’s so friendly and personable, funny and kind, and she was able to clearly and patiently break down different steps and dances for us to bring out at our reception. We’re terrible dancers and we were feeling really nervous about all the eyes that would be on us at our wedding. Jackie gave us tons of simple moves that make us look like we know what we’re doing. Lessons with Jackie was a highlight of our wedding planning process! We came to her with a non traditional mashup and she did an amazing job of getting to know us quickly and giving us a routine that was fun and no stress for the day-of. Would 1000% recommend her if you’re a non dancer looking for some moves for your big day.
Also she didn’t try to unnecessarily upsell us on any packages or extra lessons. She was honest and easy to coordinate with, top notch service!

We had a solid experience with Jackie. She brought us into the fold, with our combined 0 years of dance expérience, and built us a dank choreo that our wedding guests are still recovering from two weeks on. Anything physical/spatial/proprioceptive is hard to teach - dance especially - but she got the ideas across to us in just five rounds (#6 was a bonus). and when it was time to go, we crushed it. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to awkwardly sway back and forth for your first dance, HIRE JACKIE ASAP! We were able to book a double session and learn a dance one week before our wedding. It was soooo much fun and it took the stress out of figuring out what to do for our first dance.

me and my (very soon to be:) husband have had the most amazing time working with Jackie to learn our wedding dance! she created an extremely warm and encouraging environment and we always looked forward to going to our lessons. Jackie did a phenomenal job choreographing a dance for both me and my dad and me and my husband. She adapted to our skill level and desires for first dances and crafted two perfect dances ! Jackie is a wonderful teacher. My fiancé and I are NOT great dancers but Jackie is such a patient and thoughtful person, and broke down every piece of choreo into the smallest steps and gave very helpful feedback for us to improve. Our first dance was one of the highlights of our wedding, and we owe a huge portion of that magic to Jackie.
