The planning process is also so much fun with Jaques. They let you try it out and discuss options and suggested flavors. Highly recommend them! I already want more cake!!

The wedding cake they made for our wedding looked stunning and was so delicious! They have many flavors of cake and filling you can incorporate and they were very easy to work with. We ended up going with a non traditional cake flavor and all the guests raved about how wonderful it tasted! Would highly recommend them to any future brides and grooms looking for a scrumptious cake!

A Family History in Pastries
Jacques had his first taste of culinary experience at the age of 14 while working in his father's restaurant. He was inspired to further develop his skills, and while attending college, he took the role of Pastry Chef at the Kennebago Lake Club. Later, working as the Executive Pastry Chef in Dixville Notch, NH, at the famed Balsams Hotel. This is where he met his future wife, Paula, with whom he opened Jacques Fine European Pastries. Their son Justin Despres grew up in the shop and has honed his skills in professional pastry classes as he moves the pastry shop into the future.

seen. The shop looked very neat and clean. The staff was all friendly and we loved that their outfits were all clean and branded, it gave the overall feel a very professional one. The tasting options were great! We LOVED the little containers for each filling and that our host kept asking if there was anything else we wanted to try. We also really appreciated that our host gave us the tasting options, explained them all, and then gave us the privacy to sit and try them on our own before she came back to check on us. We greatly appreciated that privacy!!
Each time I popped by the location to drop things off, the staff was very welcoming and helpful.
On our big day, the cake looked so lovely! They absolutely nailed our overall vision! They were also so willing to add in the book page flowers that a friend made for us. The only bummer was that we had requested to have a little Deadpool peeking out from under the cake, and that bit was forgotten.

a piece of wedding cake and he LOVED it. All of our guests raved about the desserts and cake. Not only were they beautifully made, they also tasted amazing! Unlike a few other bakeries we had been to there were a number of cake and icing flavors to choose from.

les, we booked them for a wedding cake! Since we booked at the showcase we got a discount on our order! Tom was the one at Jaques that worked with us and made our cake, he was easy to reach and easy to talk to! We wanted a very simple winter wedding cake, I had a few ideas from pinterest but wasn’t entirely sure what we wanted. Tom took all of the ideas we had and make the most beautiful cake that was exactly what I had pictured, he also gave suggestions on ways to cut down the cost of the cake.
About the cake itself, now I’m not a huge fan of cake so I let my husband pick the flavors.. So naturally we ended up with three different flavors; plain white cake with buttercream filling, chocolate cake with chocolate truffle and raspberry jam filling, and carrot cake with caramel cremates filling. All of the flavors we very moist and delicious, but the carrot cake was to die for!! I know where we’re going for birthday cakes from now on!!
Hands down the best wedding cake I’ve ever had, and that’s not bias because like I said.. I don’t normally like cake!

We heard about Jaques through recommended vendor lists at all the venues we toured. I got a deal on the cake by putting a deposit down during a bridal show. The cake was incredible...
. We had many guests comment on how it was the best wedding cake they have had. The cake was exactly as we had discussed and there was no fuss getting it to the venue.

r of the cake gluten free (and they gave me a cupcake to eat on the big day so we didn't have to eat the top layer). The rest of the cake was Red Velvet, and all of my wedding guests swooned. I heard stories of people stealing other people's slices of cake while they were away from their seat so they could have more. It was that good! Besides that, we decided to eat the top tier of the cake right away (instead of freezing it) because it was so delicious! We thought it would be better to eat it now, and then we can buy another small cake next year on our anniversary! Thanks Jaques! You rock my word!

o of a cake for us and did it perfectly. I didn't want to cut into that gorgeous cake! They coordinated perfectly with our florist to get the matching flowers on it as well. Last minute we had to remove a layer of cake due to numbers, and the staff from Jacques was so apologetic and accommodating. Their customer service is impeccable. All our guests raved about how yummy the 3 different layers of cake were.

chose Jacques to do our wedding cake as well! Getting in contact with Jacques was very easy and setting up a meeting to discuss how we'd like the cake to look was very simple. We wanted a very simplistic ivory/off-white cake with fresh flowers as the detail- the florist and Jacques together handled the flowers and my husband and I were able to sit back and just let the details get taken care of. I wish the cake didn't have to get cut, it was too gorgeous! Myself and a good amount of my guests were gluten free so I was also excited that Jacques could cater to my guests. Everyone raved about the cake and said it was not only beautiful but very delicious! Thank you!

cut in the back rather than one large decorated cake. It was still beautiful and they were able to execute my off-beat nerdy design beautifully. No delivery fee too! Very easy to work with. The taste of the cake itself also far surpassed any other local cake place I had tried.

Jaques did a great job- they had a tasting for me and worked with me to create a beautiful and delicious cake. Literally, I tasted so much wedding cake and no one even came close ...
to this. Plus my husband has an allergy to food dyes so they were very accommodating in helping avoid them. They matched the flowers with my florist and they deliver all over New England (or at least to MA). They can do everything from simple and beautiful to complex and TV show worthy. Highly recommended!
